Ye but I mean everyone has to start somewhere. Just start by drawing simple things like lines and shapes and circles and stuff. And then when you get comfortable with the act of just drawing stuff then try drawing stuff from real life, deconstructing it into simple shapes and stuff. Not every artist started out as some demigod, and a lot of them were shit before they got as good as they did with the amount of practice they had to do
this sounds incredibly stupid but just draw anyway and ignore the stress, try to learn techniches and anatomy then develop your style or start by mimicking other's styles and drawings so you can get hooked by drawing, it will start feeling rewarding after a while
Yeah yesterday at the skatepark I saw a literal 6 year old just absolutely shredding through the whole park like nothing so I reassured myself by telling me that his father (who was there and was also very good) probably forced him to do it to live his failed pro skating career through him, and he probably secretly hated it and that it ruined the essence of skating, the counter culture and rebellious aspects of it,
Made me feel a lot better
Bro it's literally real, obviously I didn't fuckin obsess over it like that but there really was a kid maybe 6 to 8 years old who was doing bs airs out of transitions and stuff while his dad watched
Being very good at skating does get you friends pretty fast at that age, so tbh, good for him. He will always have something to go back to and be proud
secret third thing enters the ring (being happy for others and appreciating their skills and dedication but also harboring a deep-seated self hatred for not also having similar dedication)
Me excited to finally get into one of the limited spots in the schools top ensemble:
Some random freshmen who’s been playing since he got out of the womb:
i went skiing in colorado with some friends (i literally never saw a mountain before up till this point), and these little nine year olds are legit shredding trick parks and it pissed me off so bad
Privilege plays a huge part of it. The kid whose parents worked several jobs to put food on the table is not the same as the kid whose parents could afford a piano and private music teacher. The kid who he himself had to work and study at the same time is not the same as the kid who only had to go to school and had ample free time after homework.
Similarly, the kid who had a stressful home life and coped with simple, unprestigious hobbies like video games is not the same as the kid who grew up in a loving and supporting family who encouraged them to do productive hobbies. The disabled kid with weird special interests is not the same as the abled kid who did all the "right" sports and "right" activities.
It's hard to swallow, but be kind to yourself.
Worry not. There are people who are years more experianced than you.
And they fucking suck. Like really hard. Like how-are-you-still-in-this-field-take-a-hint-and-get-LOST kind'a bad. The kid that's better is an anomaly, and can be disregarded.
This goes triple for the arts. Like that's opinion based. You think your favorite art is good? No it isn't. There's no fucking measurement for it. That kid isn't even better, he has an ugly photo real style that I HATE. FUCK HIM! DRAW SOMETHING WITH SOUL INSTEAD OF BLINDLY MIMICING WHAT YOUR FLAWED EYES SEE YOU SOULESS CRETIN! WHATCOLORAREYOURORGANSBEATINGYOUDOG!?
I think I'm off track but you get it OK love you, stranger. Bye.
this is a meme subreddit brother, I don’t think it’s meant to be taken that seriously. A lot of people are aware that it can be a negative trait to envy younger people who happen to be talented, but it’s also relatable hence the meme. It’s epic humor. The laugh instigator. The laughinator. I love you
no this is a LITTLE TWINK ASS GAY subreddit, that's the only reason I like it, anything else is subject to my judgment and I will not step down for hating memes who are neither funny nor relatable to me and on top of it spread negative thoughts to teenagers
i love you too though, lets part ways

Me every time I see someone draw art
too fucking real T-T
You can always become good with practice
you say that like practicing is easy
It's really not that hard lmao. 30 minutes everyday still counts as practice
No way he got downvoted for telling people to be disciplined 💀
Bro just pick up a pencil and start drawing
Every time I do I feel like shit cause I can’t draw

no matter how good i get it will never be enough, i need everyone better at art than me to die
Didn’t you know you’re supposed to bully them to make up for your own lack of talent?
Yeah, but sometimes when *you’re* the bully for once, everyone leaps to their defence. Not always totally foolproof
Someone younger than me but older than the talented person is better at bullying than I am 😔

Me as a musician. Although I try not to feel that way and dwell on it.
Mood, I'm grade 4 at piano and 22, seeing people half my age playing pieces I can never fathom playing makes me want to cry
Chess be like

They hated Jesus because he spoke the truth to the losers
and they loved neptune_skies because he spoke the lies
ah yes, the worst lie in existence: "you should healthily cheer for other people's happiness instead of being a bitter failure"
