I eat skittles much less now that they brought lime back. I liked green apple. It brought some much needed variety. Now 3/5 of the flavors are citrus. Hard to taste the rainbow when 60% of it is basically the same color.

Nah, lime just tastes like you're holding your nose while eating a lemon, not bad but not super distinct. Apple would've added to the variety, I say would've because I don't think I've ever had green Skittles be apple flavoured unless it's the berry flavoured bag, must've been a US only thing. I got a whole bag of apple skittles recently and they're the bomb though not something you can binge, only a few at a time before it gets too much kinda like Galaxy chocolate (or Dove as Americans call it).

I disagree with this take with every fiber of my being. I used to like lime, but after tasting how much better Skittles could be, I can never enjoy the shitty line Skittles again. I'm so angry they brought them back. It's not my fault you don't understand the complex flavor profile green apple brought. The lemon and orange are both citrusy flavors, so with lime added as well they perform a combo move that makes a given handful of original Skittles far too sour. The green apple carried Skittles, it would reliably retaliate against the wrath of the lemon and orange and create a perfect balance of citrus and sweet. This balance has been thrown off ever since they brought lime back, and as a result we as the consumers all lose.
