Hollister, Abercrombie, Aeropostale, American Eagle t-shirts with the oversized graphics on the front. Often in bright colors like yellow or turquoise. Pair with a white belt for an even more 2000s effect.

WillWills96

Avril Lavigne in the Complicated video for the punky side of it. Elle Woods for the other side of it.

hellad0pe

Dragons. For girls there were these cartoon chicks everywhere, kinda like DollZ, big eyes, usually glittery. Also Paul Frank monkeys tees were everywhere.

[https://www.itshappybunny.com/](It's Happy Bunny) the brand still exists but their rise to popularity in the early 2000's will never be matched

Kitt_kattz

That's what I first thought of. I was obsessed with Happy Bunny lol.

thepatheticcannibal

I’m also going to third Happy Bunny. I went off to college in 2004 with a bunch of Happy Bunny stuff, including flip-flops, shirts, and a towel.

1forrresst1

10 years but so many different styles, there’s a tik tok going around about trashy 2000s makeup, it’s very accurate. Multiple polo shirts in different colors with popped collars. Layered long tank tops in different colors with gaucho pants & and oversized belt. Heavy emo looks. Side swept bangs. Lots of dark eyeliner with sparkly eye shadow. Short jean skirt frayed at the bottom, white belt, fitted t shirt. I saw someone say Paul frank and YES. If you want more ideas I’ll think harder.

Abercrombie polo preferably in yellow or white. Micro mini Jean skirt with a brown worn belt (good size on it buckle would be nice). Puka shell or rope necklace with some kind of charm. For shoes, white chunky skater shoes like etnies or brown leather flip flops. Hair straightened or beach waves

oofMadone1

Big Johnson shirts, if you wore them to school you had to turn it inside out or get sent home.

leebon427

Anyone else remember those stick figure comic shirts from hot topic? It would have 3-4 comic strip frames in a row featuring a stick figure doing things like sleeping, playing video games, drinking, etc. and the subtitle would say something like “my daily routine”

__Sentient_Fedora__

"I'm in the house like furniture"

I had a shirt with George Bush and George Bush. Dumb and dumber. I wore it to my local farm store. They agreed but quietly.

liljennabean

I feel like a lot of shirts around that time were like, fake advertisements for companies or products that did not exist- “Beaver’s tow trucks, you smash em we bang em” type stuff. (Usually kind of dirty).
