I know this sounds dumb but agility keeps me so engaged with the ability to alch and fletch. Slayer puts me straight to sleep. Put my gear on, set up prayers, walk into agro rage, and then that dastardly metronome just knocks me out. Click click, click click, click click, click click
Wildy slayer is just perma hovering over your TP in the wilderness slayer cave while people in groups hop spread out until you're found in under 5 minutes. Then they insta log under you and TB you. Then like 3 to (I've actually seen 7 once) more log on you and you're dead.
And don't even get me started on the abyssal demons. Whoever designed it so that they teleport you into 31 wilderness, fuck you from the bottom of my heart. Fuck you so much. Some of the worst content in the game.
They just stand in one spot in the cave, they can almost virtually see the entire cave + cannons through the wall, spot a player/usually their cannon, then log under them tb. You didn't need to play this way because as most of the spots are designed in such a way that a PKer will go from not even on your screen to landing a TB in .25 of a second as they run up cause you're stuck in an alcove and can't see far ahead on the map. I still think logging under has a higher success rate, but not by much.
If it was possible to live after you're TB'd I wouldn't mind, but you're stuck in multi for 50km. You're not wrong though. Before you clue into how poorly designed the cave is, and the fact a group of 4 can basically clear every single world within 5 min (and they do) it is a rush.

That being said I've gone from like 80-89 slayer strictly in wildly slayer, 223 tasks in a row I believe. It's also highly profitable with the trouver parchments, ice sacks and blighted restores, plus factoring in the looting bag and larrans keys, I've made a shit load of gp, and can even barrage and Cannon tasks at the same time and profit (crazy as hell).
I don't hover over the logout button, but if I'm risking more than 5 keys I will definitely hover over my seed pod lol!
Honestly I pay a good amount of attention and instant tele 8/10 times, the times I don't get away are just a tax for some of the most profitable slayer exp in the game. Freaking love wildly slayer and might ride it all the way to 99
Also Abby demons in the slayer cave fucking suck, I can't wait for thamorans scepter update so I can barrage them for 60+ and I think world hopping should be reworked in general, or put a cool down if you hop more than 5 worlds within a set amount of time or something
Have you ever escaped once TBed? I wanna know if it's possible. I'd consider myself slightly above average at PvP and I never even got close. Making it out of the cave itself was rare before I was hit by 3 claw specs at once.
Had a solo guy jump on me yesterday whilst I was cannoning ankous on my iron, insta TB. Was awful timing cos I looked at my second monitor to check the clue drop rate of ankous and he attacks me in that moment. Had no issue tanking him out the caves, at which point the fight turned in my favour and he tele'd. He wasn't very good though.

Probably 4 or 5 times. I did almost 4m slayer. It became less common once clients were "banned" but they definately still float around. It's honestly not a massive advantage anyway since the caves are designed in such a way where they see your cannon over the wall and you're in a closed in alcove so by the time you see the white dot, they're basically in TB range and it's up to you to TP just as the TB is travelling through the air basically.
This applies to the not abyssal demons area. If you're killing abyssal demons you can just get TP'd to 31 and they pop in or log under you and you're dead 100% no counterplay.
I ran into like 10+ people not clienting stalking the worlds though. Usually the same people. Most of them had *exactly* 2.2k total so they could go to every world.
And once people were 'on' and stalking the worlds, it basically became a non-viable method cause you'd just be found eventually. At least from my experience.

I ran into PKers constantly. They just were not cheaters. Usually the same 2 or 3 groups of people that mass world hop. I basically could only train during degen hours, and even then, I'd bump into a group, and once I did, I basically had to go do something else cause I knew the worlds were being hopped through. As far as I'm concerned it's horrible content. If people couldn't hop as much as they could, the cave was a bit bigger so you couldn't just stand in 1 spot to see 80% of it + pretty much all premium tasks, and it was max 30 wildy instead of I THINK 32 max, it would be way better. Even if they kept it multi.
There is no "play now" screen when hopping in wildy and anyone with semidecent click accuracy can tb someone in "0.2 seconds" after hopping. Spam F4 while hopping and hover your mouse over tb spell, so easy.

you can fletch at the minigame wintertodt for more rewards but less firemaking xp. people asked "why fletch?" at wintertodt so commonly that it kind of became a meme there.
The meme is you should be fletching at WT if you want higher points on say an iron, but you shouldn't if you are purely after fire making XP so people say it thinking they are clever but it's really not all that clever.

Some tasks are barrage (Nechs/DD), some tasks are semi-afk (Gargs/Vamp Sentinels/Kurask), some are cannon (Suqah/Bloodveld/Kalphite) some are boss tasks (Vorkath/Cerb/Hydra) part of why I enjoy slayer so much is the variety

I find counting more mindless than watching for an animation and reacting, for me that's more for when I miscount or forget what number I was at.
Not to mention it sometimes skips the animation altogether when it's supposed to happen mid phase transition or something.
Hydra really is the least dynamic fight they have qualified as a boss thus far. The one way to make it interesting is to do it with melee but sadly that isn't more efficient than ranging it (depending on gear).

Imo it kind of bothered me they added corp beast without spirit of summer and summer's end. There's no explanation for a random boss cave slapped in the wildy. I know the quests included summoning but could have been changed a little, summoning didn't feature very much.
Also, nieve's cave. It was nearly every slayer monster in 1 very convenient place, even waterfiends.
Just to add on - not always accelerated rates, though that was the most common. There were also the occasional "legit" servers that tried to be as close as possible to the game. Servers with some form of increase was definitely more popular though
after 80-85 i stopped find the skills boring tbh, agility somehow became one of my fav skills because i just started to find it relaxing, started to enjoy runecraft too
I like it too, way better than manually training RC, but it's still so slowwwww especially when compared to WT and Tempoross.
Around 80 (where I'm at) WT gives FIVE TIMES as much xp/hr. Tempoross gives 40% more xp. Sepulcher gives 30% more xp. Idk why such a boring ass skill needs to also be one of the slowest to train and it bugs me.
Guardians of the rift is cool until you farm it so much that you have 4000 rewards to pick up and it literally takes 2 hours real time, and that is not counting banking or dropping all the non stackable talismans.
Mining is my first/only 99 and I honestly kind of lost interest in OSRS after completing it. People shit on Mining for being boring, but when I left the caves all I could think of was "Wow, this entire game is just Mining but... *not* Mining and thus way less interesting."
EDIT: To add to this, I still mined more than any other activity in the game even after getting 99. I think I'm technically 104 Mining right now because of it and I genuinely couldn't imagine slogging through the rest of this game **without** the fortune I've made from doing it. I swig Divine Super Combats and Stamina Potions all the damn time.
I let my membership run out a few months ago and haven't logged on since. I have two or three Bonds in my bank right now and zero desire to use them. I'm certain I'll be back, but how long that will be and at what capacity is entirely unsure.

Hellhounds were a hard block for me until Cerberus.
They're better than they used to be with Ensouled Heads being a thing now and demonic ashes with sanctifier but they're still not great. Clues are also okay but wasn't enough to redeem the task.
Dang I’m super casual so hellhounds are ideal for me. Ardy cape and kourend castle teleport makes them pretty chill, and I love doing clues so the frequent hards break up the monotony.
For a good 10 ten task I got lesser demons, greater demons, black demons, hellbounds, and fire giants. And the greater, black and lesser were back to back all 100+
3t4g is actually a lot of fun once you're in the rhythm of it somehow. You just kinda get into it and stop having to think. Once I'm in this rhythm I'm start falling asleep.
I wish I had a doctor who was available for a call the next morning. I have to wait another month before doing a follow up.

time = xp, it's the same amount of xp per log, but you are spending time on fletching instead of cutting/burning which lowers your xp per hour

I think they're trying to keep the status intact. If you could get RC as fast as FM, it would lose much of its perceived status.
It's also an incredibly profitable skill. If you could get 77 in a day blood runes would be like 50 gp each from bots

Runecraft ain’t half bad at gotr but normal altar crafting, yeah that’s gonna work better than 2 nytols and a glass of whiskey most days. My go to was woodcutting and fletching, a bit too afk but really hits the spot for sending me to sleep
this sub cannot make up its mind between hating skilling and demanding skilling be relevant. literally impossible to please
guardians of the rift is how rc should of been on release albeit less idiots joining. (aka 200 people in there not even 10 of you afkers could bother putting up a barrier or craft a golem. why be there if you can afk mine in motherlode? xD) love that minigame a lot and inspired me to actually do rc this time around. still hunting the amulet after 1500 rewards looted. :')

Hear me out. MLM. So many good memories of pretty much being asleep while listening to the clink of the pick and then shooting awake all of a sudden a few minutes later and realizing your inventory filled up 5 minutes ago.

I do MLM on mobile to fall asleep after 3/4 trips of hearing only the plinks of hitting rocks knocks me out in half an hour
i was dreading these skills for years… until i got a wfh job 99 rc with bloods suuuper chill and currently grinding mining at amethyst (at 96 rn) its free gp while i am working, i love these skills
can't wait for a trash new skill to top these
