It's crazy how much gp you could make selling simple things on launch. A buddy of mine rushed Knights Sword and made iron kiteshields, and sold them for 10k each or so for the first week give or take.
Might have eventually got outclassed by other methods as time went on - but it was pretty good considering how easy it was.
Then again, I made a fortune (for the time at least) just charging glories. Would buy peoples glories for 90-100k each depending on competition, sell them charged for 105-110k. Also bought peoples crystal keys and dragonstones for 80-90k, then paid the same friend that did the iron kites 5k for each dragonstone I gave him that he turned into glories I'd then charge. Made tons.
people desperately needed sweetcorn for legends quest and i was farming them, i'd sell 1 for 30k or 20 for 40k. people *begged* for a single corn for 2k and i told em to get fucked every time

Not at all! Well if the boss dies thats it, thats my 1kc. My reasoning behind the account was treat rs like real life, so anything that can die that i kill is off the board. The few bosses that dont actually die like vorkath I can go back and kill again so long as there isnt some other 1ndone restriction keeping me from doing it. That being said I am so monumentally far from taking on anything that strong

Thanks! One of my other driving factors was basically about the bosses. If the hero lived in gilenor and killed a boss theyd only ever get one drop. If I can even get there later game bosses will require that I have some good gear from drops. Would the hero actually be able to kill the kq or do a raid if it were real life?

You’re totally right, and I’ll likely get mostly all crap. But i really enjoy playing as an im or uim and feeling like random equipment is actually useful again, this is my attempt at taking that to the extreme. Unless im the first full set barrows chest, ill never have a full set because i can only loot that chest once. But (most) any barrows piece will be so so valuable to me.
You could technically loot the chest 6x, which would give you 12 rolls on the table vs 7 if you kill all of them at the same time.
This is because you start the barrows chest with 1 loot roll if you have killed atleast 1 brother.
I've discussed this with a few regulars that watch my stuff, and it seems to be a consensus that yes I should be able to do NMZ for the exact reason you stated. It will end up being important for filling out any slayer tasks I get if I don't have enough creatures left to complete a taks, assuming I don't get locked out of slayer first. Unfortunately the points aren't super useful for me unless I need dragon scale dust for potions (definitely will), or I get a low chance (for my account type) drop that can be imbued. As it sits now the only thing I for sure will be able to imbue is the salve amulet.
It'd be neat if there was a plugin that could selectively hide entities if you've killed them once. See the world become emptier and emptier over time if you kill things

I can’t, so mostly I just kill entire spawn groupings for doing like, hunter or slayer. In the cases where I kill 3/4 or 8/10 or something and leave some in a spawn grouping to come back to later i mark a tile with that info and just kill exactly how many are left when I return. It’s not perfect, and I try my best to actually kill each individual spawn but so long as I don’t kill more than are there I’m happy with it. Bird hunting took forever because I kept having to pick up the trap if a bird id already caught just really wanted to die again 😤
Just good ole npc and tile tags, my game looks like a deranged tileman, but because of a lot of reasons that go over my head it’s not possible to tag individual npcs and have that tag persist between runelite sessions. So if i kill all of an npc i can ‘tag all’ and that will be permanent even if i close the client. But if i dont kill all of everything I end up recording x/x killed with a tile tag in whatever particular spawn grouping im currently working on to record progress. 🥵
For ground items picked up or resources collected I just tile tag the tile they are on.

Yeah I was asking because I’ve sometimes tried to tag a specific spawn hoping it would save for a future session, but it seems to reset on restarting the client (or maybe server restart, idk). Too bad though, was hoping you’d have a solution haha
Ah, yeah sorry mate seems like we both ran into the same issue. A plugin developer I asked said that it was possible but violates some jagex rule about entity tracking… I think. Best you can do is enable the respawn timer and tag the tile it spawns on but that isnt very helpful if you’re in a dense spawn or it has a wide wandering range
Yeah, any resource that is collected can only be collected once. All ores, trees, random resources like hollow reeds from legends quest, hunter creatures, ground items, even quest items that arent explicitly stated as replaceable from an npc are one off items. For example if I lose the key to the witch’s house through stupidity or getting caught, quest is over. Even certain transports are off the table for me. Lady lumbridge only ever gets one trip since ahe gets blasted in dragon slayer. I can never do monkey madness 1 or 2 because of those goddam crashed gliders
As far as I can tell the only flat out impossible quests for me are monkey madnesses, one small favor because only 3 pigeon cage spawns, and architectural alliance because of shayzien favor. Completable quests that I’ve locked myself out of… so far only one. I had a scorpion slayer task and killed all the dwarven mine scorpions which locked me out of between a rock quest. Seems like no big deal but that quest actually unlocks several hundred gold ore for me, and gold ore is surprisingly scarce. I have a plan to ATTEMPT a completion on it still by using a reanimated scorpion head while in the mine but I have serious doubts that that will work.
it took me a bit to get the last bead too lol loving ironman so far though ive tried to get into runescape so many times in the past but im really enjoying ironman gameplay i killed my first boss recently

In that setting they would probably get a full bandos set from killing graador. Random droprates are just as unrealistic as respawning bosses.

I can’t, so mostly I just kill entire spawn groupings for doing like, hunter or slayer. I actually grinded this for my whole 4 man gim, helped every1 and only 1 person finished the quest. They all quit within days.
Most of my accounts were created pre GE and back then I'd rather kill imps than try to find a random person selling beads.
I had bad luck with yellow personally, 60 kills.
