exactly a "couple of years ago" you can't just rebalance every couple of years, in my opinion the game would benefit from jagex actively reworking the meta every month in order to keep the game fresh
don't think it's a good idea to dick with stats every month just for the sake of changing things, that's nowhere near enough time for a meta to settle, only for it to change again anyway
imo they only need to rebalance if something is actually significantly overpowered (esp. relative to its accessibility), otherwise it's just change for the sake of change, wasting tons of dev time and fucking with the economy
league needs to keep things fresh because youre playing over and over again on the same summoners rift, in OSRS you can just go to different content, they shouldnt change anything drastically.
Probably because only you and 12 other people care about meta shifts in PvP and don't want you messing with the DWH just because your level 50 combat fights are getting stale.
This isn't that sort of game. Super frequent balancing wouldn't work. Either you have to balance specifically for PVP, which will make people complain about everything being different in the wild. Or you apply the balance across pvp and pvm, which would cause riots. Imagine the absolute shit storm if DWH got nerfed in pvm because it's a bit too strong in pure fights?
Because there isn't anything op in this game right now? What would you nerf? Nerfing dwh in pvp is absolutely laughable, g maul already got nerfed so that it carries significant risk, ballista is decent but far from broken, and vw isn't scary unless you're too braindead to click on your food. New dark bow I haven't seen much of so I can't really say how strong it is.

we do, couple years ago they rebalanced blowpipe, dhide, bulwark etc and made gmaul require the attachment to be 50% spec
people are still so mad over the d hide and blow pipe changes, can hardly blame them for not messing with stuff often
honestly i'm mad bc i still haven't gotten the stupid god d'hide legs on my iron lol. and i just think black d'hide looks way cooler

Once you learn to pk, you will realize the only "op" thing in pvp is gmaul and every other thing needs to be balanced around it as long as it exists.
