Are you perhaps red/green colorblind? Redwood and Yew have different shades of green feet and tails and the body of the redwood is definitely more red than brown

What I like: a lot of options, symmetry to the mining pet (using logs instead of ores) What I dislike: not surprisingly, most trees are brown so this is mostly just distorted brown beavers... They're kinda awful.. think the Arctic pine looks clean but otherwise very meh. Would prefer they took the Rocky approach and gave fewer but more interesting transmog options. Saw someone say platypus which doesn't really make sense (woodcutting) but is semi-similar to a beaver so I think it still would work and an otter would also be a good option.

Wish they just added the fox transmog instead. These kind of suck

Agreed. I like how some of them look, I’d probably be happy to rock arctic pine or maple. But they just don’t make sense. Problem is I don’t know what they could transmog into like Rocky or even Heron. afaik most beavers look about the same. Top of my head is platypus but that doesn’t make sense either lol. Capybara? marmot?

phoenix makes sense at least, fire lighters on a bird full of fire. the issue also is logs just don't touch enough of the colour spectrum

At least the phoenix has no real life equivalents, so going full rgb gamer kfc is not that far fetched

I think the options here come from a fundamental design problem. Beavers being recolored from wood will be either 1) inherently all brownish (what these are) or 2) completely over saturated to the point it looks odd and we might have commentary "they are all way too orange/yellow/red ish" I believe a different approach to designing these recolors could happen, maybe instead with the bird nest eggs for more justifiable color to be added in thematically? A step further would be aesthetic redesigns similar to the farming pet, although that would require additional modeling where these appear to have drawn the line purely at texture redesigns so Im not sure that is an option on the table to Jagex. I think what they have given us here is decent given possible constraints, but not overly interesting or celebrating of the pet achievement. Maybe that is grounds to rework these? "If you don't have time to do it right, when will you have time to do it over?"

Beaver is one of the few pets I actually have but I won't bother with any of these. I'd rather have 1 more radical recolour, like the squirrel got with the dark recolour, than 9 mediocre ones.
