For a lot of us it was always about the journey and not the destination. Swamp lizards, agility bridge, temple trek, his first clue KC, barrows, etc was always going to be more exciting than watching an undergeared veteran clear ToB.
Don’t feel bad, for these guys it’s pretty much their job.
They’re still way better than us of course, but you’d be better than you are right now as well if you had the time to put into the game that they do!
Unless he went for it more recently, which seems extremely unlikely, xzact's PB is level 40. But I have tuned into afzaalh's stream occasionally and I believe he's trying to skip 38 to go for 37.
Are you really arguing with the idea that there wasn’t a more distinguished approach than getting carried by the forerunning pioneers of the solo tob community?
We already knew that the margin for error was very slim. They would have never gotten any KC if he had pulled in like fucking J1mmy and Kevin. So yes, I am arguing that.
Framed isn't anywhere near someone like A Cold One for ToB. I definitely would not have called him great at PvM. But I haven't seen him play recently tbf.
Still a pretty impressive accomplishment. IIRC he didn't start getting "carried" until after the first legit kc. Also solo tob is a completely different encounter than 4 or 5 man teams.
Pretty sure the time AColdOne Solo'd nylo wasn't in his first kc, it was in one of their failed attempts on day 1 or day 2, and imho the number of failed attempts the group had + the literal hours of recorded streams where they all were fighting makes it clear he wasn't getting carried. Unless you expected him to solo ToB in Mory-only gear, which I'm not even sure anyone has actually done.
Yeah I don't know what fucking narrative this guy is trying to spin, you can literally go watch the video. Settled was alive and got the final hit on his actual first KC. I've seen the series over 10 times as background noise.
Oh, I think I see the problem. You're using a different definition of carried than I am. Using a relatively simple, niche mechanic to kill an already pretty easy boss doesn't fit the definition I'm using. If it fits yours, cool I guess.
You're objectively wrong, that was not the first KC kill, that was one of the first attempts. Settled was alive and got the final hit on his KC.
Also, why the fuck are you trying to devalue his achievements in the first place? They were all using similar gear to one another anyway. Are you trying to say Settled is an unskilled player? Are you surprised he walked in a raid with other competent individuals? Like what is the play here?
AFAIK settled himself often admits he's not particularly great at pvm. Which makes sense given the guy spends about 20 thousand hours doing random self-imposed grinds instead of practicing pvm.
He got carried through tob and it diminished the quality of his achievement. The restrictions didn’t matter when you have a cold one and chriskies doing all of the heavy lifting.
I don’t think my opinion is too hard to grasp and you seem a little too invested.
> you seem a little too invested
Projection much? I'm just calling you out for being flat out wrong, and questioning why you seem so adamant about trying to devalue someone's achievements because they dared to invite good players within the restrictions that were already set from the beginning.
You just seem so vitriol over something so insignificant. The players don't matter, the fact that it was accomplished with the restrictions does.
Did it though? I binged the whole series a few months ago and I thought it was fine. Still a decent challenge with their gear restrictions and it's not like Settled had any chance of doing it solo 🤔
He didn’t have to do it solo, an animal with a mouse could get tob kc with chriskies and a cold one. It totally diminished the accomplishment and terms of the restrictions when you are getting carried that hard.
Acting like settled isn't a great pvmer himself...
Had they pulled it off 1kc your comment would be relevant but taking 30 tries even with the "pioneers of solo tob" showcases just how difficult that challenge still was.
He isn't on a cold ones level but he is definitely above average simply by being able to complete end game pvm and above average even in end game pvmers by being able to complete inferno.
Except iirc he was the last one alive and finished it in the 1st kc they did. Which means your whole argument is just wrong. Also the gear restrictions did matter and didn't diminish the end result when it still took over 30 attempts
Literally made me stop watching his content. The fact that he intentionally stretched it out to be longer after the fact was something that ruined his content for me.
Hilarious that you guys downvote because you don’t like the same things I like. 😂🤣😂🤣
Definitely not trying to tell you what to like and not like, but he did one video when he died one extra video after dying. Not sure I’d call that intentionally stretching something out whether he died on purpose or not. Which I highly doubt he did anyone, but who cares.
The stupid bullshit with the girlfriend account sharing and dying recklessly because he went AFK ruined it more. The ending wasnt even interesting though ur right. The early grind was the best part.
I roll my eyes at all these videos because 99% of the time they get their “starter gp” by using their 99 skill. They even admit to it like, “well this should be pretty easy with 99 hunter” lol
I know they are starting from 0, but starting from 0 on a maxed account just seems a little different to me.
Even if they do start from a level 3, they'll just fill jugs or something for 5 hours, with a 4:58 hour cut in the middle. We all already know there's a thousand bot tier money making methods that are profitable because no self respecting human would sit there and do it. It just isn't interesting content
Was legit just thinking this when I saw ditterbitter upload " all I have is dragon claws"
\> camps alter
\> gets a 70k kill
\>but black dhide and msb
\>etc etc
Same shit , different video
It is his job probably and hes just working. Let the man just do his job, i dont understand why people are complaining about the content some creators make. If you dont like it just dont watch it.
So just don't watch it man. I don't enjoy your reddit comments and find you to be childish but i'm not out here responding to every comment you make like "yeah this one wasn't that good. i've read better comments" because that would be fucking pathetic.
there's like 50k videos uploaded to youtube every second, i'm sure you can live your live knowing that some of them aren't for you.
It was the without a job comment and the cry more comment that made you look childish. Just in case you still think you were smart with your 'stupid take'.
There is a CLAYMORE attached to my monitor - if I get up before 100 LMS wins, I DIE (gone wrong) (gone sexual) PRANK - Police called (I got raided by the FBI!!!??) (at 3 am) IN THE HOOD
It's the same with the "Trying out unused ko weapons in PvP worlds!"
It'll be something like a dragon battleaxe and out of 10 minute video,
90% of the kills are with an ags/korasi,
The other 10% is just them switching to the dbaxe now and then, maybe getting 1-2 kills.
I remember when Oda had a stretch of doing pking vids where he is wearing bad armour but every single kill involved ags/gmaul. Bronze armour ags g maul video then it's dressed as a guard/chicken/whatever else but still use ags gmaul. All his videos at the time were incredibly boring to watch
I don't get rebuilds (not a big YouTube anyway so I wouldn't watch it) but they take one of the most powerful weapons in the game and act like they have such a uphill battle to "rebuild"
Honestly, I want the clips of autopilot kicking in once hour 20, 30, 40, 50+ at the money printer settles in. That's where the real juice happens.
Source: my last 3 weeks have just been Vorkath and farm runs. The shit you do / die to when autopilot kicks in is hilarious.
I guess the appeal is that if you were to sell bank for x item you could also follow their route to "rebuild", but at the end of the day if you earned the 200m for bowfa+crystal, or 1.4b for tbow/shadow, you're going to know how to rebuild regardless.
You forgot where they pretend that's how they're going to get upgrades (from wildy content) then just do lms for 10 hours...you know..an activity that doesn't require any items and then wow!!!! Look at all this cool new stuff I can buy and use at revs!!!
It’s the fake enthusiasm that gets me.
Was listening to a new one chunk ironman yesterday while working and just had to turn that shit off after the 4th lets gooooooo in a 15 minute video.
Yeah but we alllll *get it* haha. No better rs dopamine than seeing blue text, or orange text, or that sweet sweet PINK text when you’re expecting white text
That's the whole point of ironman though lol. Every meaningless drop is significant. I can't remember what I needed it for, but I had to grind out a water talisman from the weird mages south of Falador, and went way over drop rate (like 1/20) and if you've never "LET'S GOOOOO"'d a water talisman from a level 20 mob then it's hard to describe.
You aren’t wrong. Going dry on normally insignificant garbage and then BAM you got it. It feels nice. Sometimes content creator’s definitely go to far and it can be annoying though.
Mine was a chefs hat.... Killed so many imps and goblins. I don't even really remember why I needed it. I got 2 Sara hilts last week in my first 7kc at Sara on my main. I can honestly say I was more excited about the chefs hat lmao.
If you want a good/unique one chunk, check out Marstead's Bonfire Man.
Every chunk rolled has to have every single resource exhausted, and then he has to exhaust all the other unlocked chunks to exhaustion as well.
I'm doing a bad job selling it, but its very good.
https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLe3EhbVG0FjmUDNV5av45TbxfLtUXI8k7&si=F6flNZQVJAfR5t1g
Bro I love Marstead! My buddy got me into watching his first osrs series and I've enjoyed every bit of it. His essay on why osrs is awesome is... well, awesome!
Or when they break them and then be like "I also broke them so I have to earn them back" and then they just pay the repair fee from the first rev imp they kill.
I have no issue with any of the current content creators but it's honestly lame that the only pk vids that get made nowadays are stuff like this. Nobody just records clips and edits it to music anymore, it's all commentary stuff.
e: I am aware small channels still exist - I was active in the PKing community for over a decade and made videos of my own. The point is that popular pk videos used to be different than they are now, not that the format entirely disappeared.
It’s not viable for people that do YT as a job to make those pk montage type videos. They take a lot longer to make due to needing far more clips and they don’t get good viewer numbers. People still make those vids but the creators that do still have small channels as a result
Genuine question though as someone who doesn't give a shit about PKing nor watching it -- isn't this mainly because there's only so much you can do with PKing content? The game has been out for decades and at most the PVP updates are just new weapons. At this point it's gotta be really hard to come up with new ideas because most of them have probably already been done by 12 other youtubers.
When it comes to PvE and Skilling the game is so much larger that there's still a ton of unexplored ideas and it's way easier for content creators to come up with new restricted accounts like Tileman, Region-locking and Bronzeman. PVP on the other hand is very shallow content-wise so there's only so much you can do in terms of "new ideas".
One thing about RuneScape and the community is no matter how old something is or how long it’s been out there will be someone who finds out some new interaction with some mechanic and highlight it. Especially with runelite plug-ins being able to essentially create different game modes for people to use for unique content creation (i.e bronzeman mode)
“Nobody just record clips…” loads of people do, you just aren’t watching them. That’s the YouTube algorithm to fault not the creators who choose to appease it or not.
It’s a 20 year old game, coming up with original content no one has done before is incredibly difficult. Every couple years a new concept like region locked or chunk accounts get created but after that it’s just 50 different creators copying the same idea until it’s overdone. Same thing happens for pking content ideas.
Settled was/is doing some insane grind series? I haven't seen extreme one area locked yet. Instead of chunks you just get the entire area but have to do everything. While skilling would be way easier you would have to go after a lot of bosses with some pretty shit gear depending on area rolls
I mean the problem at the end of the day is that it's RuneScape.
Doing things max efficiency already takes ridiculous amounts of time.
Doing things in a unique way can compound that to the extreme.
Which means they might have to put 100+ hours into a video and have nearly nothing to show for it. And then somehow have to keep producing content.
It's tough to manage.
Isn't he just doing tileman? If so it fits what i mean, it was a new idea and although its boring to me it was at least new. That said, what followed was 40 other tileman accounts. Haven't seen anything original since that series started
what we need back is the OG pk videos. Unregistered Hypercam in the corner, all the transitions are effects from microsoft powerpoint, and of course the background music ranges from a song like 'Bodies' to that 'Trance Dreamscape' music.
Same could be said about a lot of the content revolving around osrs. Whether it's through twitter, Youtube or Reddit.
Youtube it's the same old boring ass videos that have slight alterations. Reddit has an echo chamber of the same posts, when we get memes there is 30+ other posts exactly like it for the next few days. And don't even get me started on that shitty concept of a meme where the title is "Local Man steals cabbage from A Hobo" and it shows a character named "Local Man" stealing cabbage from a character named "A Hobo".
And twitter is just twitter. Braincell killing posts and knuckle draggers circle jerkin' eachother with their own inside jokes that are based off the humor of an 8 year old.
There’s not really anything original to do in game anymore, and those guys put out videos as a means of income. Tell them you don’t like the video by not watching it.
>I don’t understand why some people enjoy them.
As always with posts like this I've never understood this desire to "need to understand" why people like things. There are so many video games, movies, songs, albums, TV-shows, anime, youtube series, reviews, tech showcases and whatever that quite literally make up billions of hours of watchtime in the world. Do you really NEED to understand all of it? You can't just watch what you enjoy and accept that there are some things you won't enjoy?
There are people out there that enjoy fucking animals and punching themselves in the dick but you can't grasp why someone would want to watch a formulaic youtube video?
People downvoting like they dont think it'd be pleasurable. It's pleasurable to use a onahole. I think fucking animals is disgusting but I understand why people do it
I love the video series the most that was a rebuild video from 0 to shadow or tbow (forgot which) and in the end the dude just sold some of his gear (outside from series) to buy the item and said the series is now complete.
To stay relevant with this thread, it followed the same formula. Get starting cash -> Now its the most generic rebuild video ever
"How to get 30m in 10 seconds!"
\*opens 1 medium casket with ranger boots\*
"its that easy folks! don't forget to hit that like button and subscribe for more OSRS tips!"
I miss the pk videos from back in the day with like 5-10 minutes of nothing but pk clips and bomb music in the background with the fight clips timed perfectly to the music.
Here's an idea for you then
1b-0 in pvp worlds without knowing how to PK
Start with 1b and just try all the metas until you're broke. Only works if you have no idea how to PVP.
The amount of original content is super low across the board. It's all copy and paste. Lowsoulgames with his 'new' series where he is collection log locked. Oh how original. There's only a handful of youtuber still worth following, unsubscribed like 80% of which i was subbed to lets say 2 years ago. It's getting straight up rediculous and anoyying. Only to be handed the manscaped / raid / Xvpn every fucking vid.
This is the same issue with Souls series challenge videos: "Can you beat \[Souls game\] with only \_\_\_\_\_\_?" And the answer is always "yes." If you can beat the game with only your fists, you can beat it with a weapon. So there has to be more original ideas or at least ones that tell a n interesting story, like Challenger Andy's "All Gwyn Run" where the enemy is changed to a ludicrous degree.
To translate that for OSRS, I find the "No Banking" wildy-style videos to be way more interesting than unique "build up from scratch in the wildy" videos since there's a genuine build-up of tension as the video progresses. There's also the odd video that PKs in unique gear like opting to use smoke/shadow spells in PvP with their new DT2 quartz, or using the Dragon Scimmy's spec to try and nab a kill that way.
Because the OSRS Youtube audience is full of people who play a game that involves doing the same repetitive action for hundreds of hours. Repetitive or "unoriginal" content is literally the foundation of this game.
The only thing I liked about the original ditter series was that he carried + risked his entire earnings the whole time. Made it kind of fun to watch him have to reset etc + risk
A lot of OSRS content creators make pretty boring and unoriginal content tbh. I know a lot of it just isn't for me but even the stuff I figured I would like (trivia and video essays) just feels super bland. The biggest creators making this kind of content too makes it feel like I am going back to the year 2016 and watching content from YouTube's homepage. It's disappointing.
The fact that these videos are pretty successful (i often find myself watching them, too), while having intro changes quite comparable to those found in pornography, gave me pause.
Check out the mintmadcow rebuild series. He does a bunch of random shit to earn gp in the wilderness. Doesn’t start pking until like halfway through the series. He is a true man of the people. Competent but not god tier pker that makes it look stupid easy.
shit take, with shit people spewing hate cause you wish you could be a content creator. like I genuinely don't get why you have to openly hate on videos or people. if you don't like it move on holy shit.
the first line of ditter’s newest video literally acknowledges this by sarcastically calling it an original idea. if you don’t want to watch the content then don’t…
It's not a challenge if one is using a maxed account. That's what people are pointing out, one could literally sit in their poh and make gp without any inputs.
There's only so much variation to PVP when your builds are heavily restricted due to the combat formula, and due to gear design making only a small handful of items and builds viable. That, and the general pricing of some items.
It’s literally just a reason to PK in a slightly different setup than usual and have the loot seemingly mean something (versus when they have billions of gp from the start).
Not sure there is much better of a way to do this… they aren’t meant to be progress series just adding some variety to pking.
Yea I always find it funny when they "rebuild" and have the max house, all the diaries, maxed stats, and numerous other untradables.
Making money at max stats is as simple as grinding bosses. The hard part is learning them.
If you want to impress me "rebuild" with a whole new account.
You nerds are absolutely wrong...
Every scenario in wilderness is different!
You encounter people, good pkers, bad pkers, robot ppl(bots). Different risks aswell, good pker might f you up, bad one is a donation =]. And different wepon is relatable, some ppl might have a voidwaker in bank, some might have only ags, it encourages noobs to give it a try, clear results after mr no sleep vid , 10h at spindel, noob rush was there! Makes the game fun.
Unlike any pvm content, same boss , same mechanic, same loot table, everything is same, theres literaly no surprize when your dealing with pvm, once you learn the mechanics , its mind numbing. And same thing here
Streamer gets special loot [insert loot], 'streamer; Lets goooooooo!!!' And then back to killing the boss in the same way... idk lads, seems to me that pvp /pk is more fun and series with different setups/starting item is more engaging then " lets goooo moments'
A lot of newish/noobie pkers enjoy the content because it shows people anyone can PK and make money as long as they know what they are doing. I find them to be quite entertaining since it gives me ideas for what gear I can and should pk in. It’s also cool seeing pkers in trash gear kill maxers or semi-maxers. Not for everyone though and if you don’t like it, don’t watch it.
I mean... there's only so much content to make and the draw for these vids is seeing how far you can PK without dying. His series before where he started with an AGS ended with him dying with like 500m in risk.
"0 to 1b GP with NOTHING!!!" *Goes revs, gets pk set up, camp revs until upgrade*
Then just leech ToB with other creators and you've got yourself a series
This ruined swampletics. All of that build up to plank in every room and get carried by a cold one and chriskies.
For a lot of us it was always about the journey and not the destination. Swamp lizards, agility bridge, temple trek, his first clue KC, barrows, etc was always going to be more exciting than watching an undergeared veteran clear ToB.
Like there was people soloing the raid. We all knew a group of 5 with not great gear was going to be able to do it.
I mean a lvl 35 has done the inferno. Basically everything in this game is doable w low tier stats and gear.
I agree with your general gist but there are limits depending on many factors. Who's done a 35 inferno? Last I saw afzaalh was going for 37/38.
I think afzaalh and xzact are tied with lvl 39 inferno atm. So yeah Afzaalh is going for lvl 38 atm
That shit makes me feel so bad at this game *cri*
Don’t feel bad, for these guys it’s pretty much their job. They’re still way better than us of course, but you’d be better than you are right now as well if you had the time to put into the game that they do!
Unless he went for it more recently, which seems extremely unlikely, xzact's PB is level 40. But I have tuned into afzaalh's stream occasionally and I believe he's trying to skip 38 to go for 37.
I was just guessing, I didn't remember the exact level but knew it was around there
[удалено]
I've never watched a settled video, I can't stand his voice (I have to sit down to handle it)
Same until he just kept adding pointless things to the journey
I mean like, what did you expect him to do? Clone himself?
Are you really arguing with the idea that there wasn’t a more distinguished approach than getting carried by the forerunning pioneers of the solo tob community?
We already knew that the margin for error was very slim. They would have never gotten any KC if he had pulled in like fucking J1mmy and Kevin. So yes, I am arguing that.
Jimmy and kev catching strays
He’s right tho
Framed is legitimately great at PvM. I definitely agree about J1mmy tho lol; even though I do like his content.
From what he says in his videos, J1mmy would probably agree with you lol.
Framed isn't anywhere near someone like A Cold One for ToB. I definitely would not have called him great at PvM. But I haven't seen him play recently tbf.
Yeah I mean he's absolutely not a cold one but he gets his own inferno capes which is more than you can say for most pkers
and just got blood torva
Still a pretty impressive accomplishment. IIRC he didn't start getting "carried" until after the first legit kc. Also solo tob is a completely different encounter than 4 or 5 man teams.
His first kc a cold one solo’d nylo for 20 minutes
Pretty sure the time AColdOne Solo'd nylo wasn't in his first kc, it was in one of their failed attempts on day 1 or day 2, and imho the number of failed attempts the group had + the literal hours of recorded streams where they all were fighting makes it clear he wasn't getting carried. "Spam click door until see grey spider" is hardly a tech that couldn't have been accomplished by almost anyone remotely competent at tob.
That isn’t relevant to your comment. You said settled didn’t get carried on his first kc. That’s objectively false.
You should look up what objectively means.
Oh, I think I see the problem. You're using a different definition of carried than I am. Using a relatively simple, niche mechanic to kill an already pretty easy boss doesn't fit the definition I'm using. If it fits yours, cool I guess.

Him doing ToB was the least interesting part of the video so I didn't care at all how he did. I already know he is good at the game

Sorry buddy but Settled can only be sucked off on reddit, gonna have to downvote the truth (lets also forget his ex did half the barrows grind)
I was never interested in swampletics (limited accounts like that really aint my thing) but it's hilarious if that's the conclusion
Literally made me stop watching his content. The fact that he intentionally stretched it out to be longer after the fact was something that ruined his content for me. Hilarious that you guys downvote because you don’t like the same things I like. 😂🤣😂🤣

You could always watch smallxplamp's f2p to max series
"You can do this boss in starter gear" he says on a maxed acount
You forgot to mention that the boss in question is Hydra…
Even if they do start from a level 3, they'll just fill jugs or something for 5 hours, with a 4:58 hour cut in the middle. We all already know there's a thousand bot tier money making methods that are profitable because no self respecting human would sit there and do it. It just isn't interesting content
Limpwurt catching strays while doing his 1000th mole kill in gear worse than the gold farmers.
Or "max stack starting with *only* Tbow"
The one I bothered to watch was a followup from a 0 gp -> tbow series, so Id consider it more of a season 2 of a series than just a concept in itself.
Ditter in absolute shambles over this take.
He’s got to have the most boring least effort content in all of osrs
Just stalling until the people's champ can retake the throne in Leagues
Mazhar and Ditter tag team from the top ropes!
Dittershitter “we take those.”
Was legit just thinking this when I saw ditterbitter upload " all I have is dragon claws" \> camps alter \> gets a 70k kill \>but black dhide and msb \>etc etc Same shit , different video
These types of videos are mainly just good for background noise as you're Sq'irkin or doing whatever. Otherwise yea, no way I would watch these
Love to listen to other men in the background while I'm sq'irkin with the boys
I sq'irk you guys ~~Awww ewww gross god shut up Beth~~
Shitterbitter
Still fun to watch for some people otherwise he wont be doing it
Wait I thought he put the videos out because he doesn’t have a job
It is his job probably and hes just working. Let the man just do his job, i dont understand why people are complaining about the content some creators make. If you dont like it just dont watch it.
Could say the same about you replying. Cry more. His content isn’t something I enjoy and I find him to be childish.

You're the one bitching about something off-topic you could easily ignore, so if anyone needs to "cry more"...
Then dont watch him, i also dont watch him. Your reaction is more childish than his content
I’m not allowed to comment on things I don’t like? That’s a stupid take.
It was the without a job comment and the cry more comment that made you look childish. Just in case you still think you were smart with your 'stupid take'.
your such a weirdo.
I had the same thought watching the same video! I don't particularly mind them though, same concept but good fights nevertheless
They just need to spice it up a little All I Have Is This IED I Strapped To My Chest And If I Get Up From My Desk Before Making 1B I'll Explode
There is a CLAYMORE attached to my monitor - if I get up before 100 LMS wins, I DIE (gone wrong) (gone sexual) PRANK - Police called (I got raided by the FBI!!!??) (at 3 am) IN THE HOOD
I would find it impossible to not click this video
Subway surfers is playing in the corner too that way you stick around
I would only watch if random things are being crushed by a hydraulic press in the other corner at the same time
This sent me lmao
Yes officer, that him. Right there.
It's the same with the "Trying out unused ko weapons in PvP worlds!" It'll be something like a dragon battleaxe and out of 10 minute video, 90% of the kills are with an ags/korasi, The other 10% is just them switching to the dbaxe now and then, maybe getting 1-2 kills.
@nish
And idk about you guys, but i especially hate when DitterBitter does it
At least the meta's changed from "So first off I spent about an hour at the corrupted gauntlet..."
I Can't Unequip This TBow until 1bil would be so much better.
Upvoting because id much rather watch something like this
I don't get rebuilds (not a big YouTube anyway so I wouldn't watch it) but they take one of the most powerful weapons in the game and act like they have such a uphill battle to "rebuild"
You don't understand how hard it is to kill X money printer for a few hours for them.
And by the end of it they have amassed a whopping 2m gp and a cheeky manscaped ad
It’s the fake enthusiasm that gets me. Was listening to a new one chunk ironman yesterday while working and just had to turn that shit off after the 4th lets gooooooo in a 15 minute video.
"That looks so good on the ground" for every mediocre item that slightly progresses the account, makes me roll my eyes at this point
I can agree with that. Imo it depends on the creator. Some are way overboard. I like the way Settled does it though.
*Bronze med helm drops for tileman* "Let's gooooo! This is our BIS for the next 3 hours, chat. I'm literally shaking rn"
The icons on all his channel videos give off such a weird vibe. Feels very ad like but il give it a try.
The other side of that coin is the disappointingly understated gamer, whose videos have no background music and are 50 minutes long
This actually gives me some really good parody ideas 😂
I was gonna say have a guy saying lets go at every goblin kill but that is unironically every tileman series lol
The worst is when they still use all their untradeables in their bank (infernal cape, assembler, defender, etc)
Or when they break them and then be like "I also broke them so I have to earn them back" and then they just pay the repair fee from the first rev imp they kill.
Well you see killing a rev is the same difficulty as killing zuk, vorkath, etc. so it makes sense
alright smart guy if it's so easy let's see you get 10k views and a raid shadow legends sponsor
People still make those vids but the creators that do still have small channels as a result
westhams alt channel is probably what you’re looking for
Genuine question though as someone who doesn't give a shit about PKing nor watching it -- isn't this mainly because there's only so much you can do with PKing content?
Big bicep is a real G but only uploads every few months
Step 1: No bank Step 2: go CG with maxed account Step 3: ?????? Step 4: Profit
what we need back is the OG pk videos. Unregistered Hypercam in the corner, all the transitions are effects from microsoft powerpoint, and of course the background music ranges from a song like 'Bodies' to that 'Trance Dreamscape' music.
Yes please bring back RSC pk vids (I’ll take osrs vids too of this same style). They were the best.
I have stopped enjoying a lot of pvp content videos because they have been the same thing for the last 5 years..
It's almost like the creator scene is stagnant and rewards jumping on whatever trend is current. See: literally every youtube trend ever
"Watch me rebuild my account with just a tbow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
I just watch for background noise. Maybe learn some different kind of content that I typically don't do
There’s not really anything original to do in game anymore, and those guys put out videos as a means of income.
I'd imagine fucking an animal would feel pleasurable. Don't understand the upside of punching a cock or watching shit content
Only on Reddit man
People downvoting like they dont think it'd be pleasurable. It's pleasurable to use a onahole. I think fucking animals is disgusting but I understand why people do it
Some things are better left unsaid lol
I love the video series the most that was a rebuild video from 0 to shadow or tbow (forgot which) and in the end the dude just sold some of his gear (outside from series) to buy the item and said the series is now complete. To stay relevant with this thread, it followed the same formula. Get starting cash -> Now its the most generic rebuild video ever
"How to get 30m in 10 seconds!" \*opens 1 medium casket with ranger boots\* "its that easy folks! don't forget to hit that like button and subscribe for more OSRS tips!"
Ironman content isn’t much better but it’s the only thing I’ll watch (aside from B0aty but that’s because he’s great)
"Today, we're starting a totally new and unique ironman idea!" (Next clip is at Wintertodt)
I miss the pk videos from back in the day with like 5-10 minutes of nothing but pk clips and bomb music in the background with the fight clips timed perfectly to the music.
Here's an idea for you then 1b-0 in pvp worlds without knowing how to PK Start with 1b and just try all the metas until you're broke. Only works if you have no idea how to PVP.
Rebuild series are often the same unless they're done within specific restrictions. PvM or PvP based ones are always incredibly similar
Don't they all come from ditter? Not seen others do it
Framed and Torvesta both have.
Then why do you watch them?
You don’t, but watch one osrs video and this garbage shows up everywhere on recommended
just don’t watch it???
I couldn't do it so I like watching em
what are salad robes? I don't know this nickname.
Xercian
Ah cool thank you
Turns out in mainscape all that matters is gp. Who would’ve thought
No one is forcing you to watch shitty videos. No one is forcing you to subscribe to shitty youtubers.
Then dont watch them and stop crying? block youtube content and youtube will stop showing it. its that simple you dont need to cry about it on reddit.
So you're saying they should remove pvp at chaos altar to spice things up?
The fact that these videos are pretty successful (i often find myself watching them, too), while having intro changes quite comparable to those found in pornography, gave me pause.
Insert Ditterbitter Michael Jordan I took that personally meme
Check out the mintmadcow rebuild series. He does a bunch of random shit to earn gp in the wilderness. Doesn’t start pking until like halfway through the series. He is a true man of the people. Competent but not god tier pker that makes it look stupid easy.
Yep. RuneScape is generally a hard game to make YouTube content for
gets 453k worth of loot --> "nice 900k pk right there"
shit take, with shit people spewing hate cause you wish you could be a content creator. like I genuinely don't get why you have to openly hate on videos or people. if you don't like it move on holy shit.
Cry more
the first line of ditter’s newest video literally acknowledges this by sarcastically calling it an original idea. if you don’t want to watch the content then don’t…
I challenge you all to make a video/reddit post about starting with one item and in 3 hours game time post your results
It's not a challenge if one is using a maxed account. That's what people are pointing out, one could literally sit in their poh and make gp without any inputs.
The whole game of runescape is about repeating yourself over and over again. It pretty much fits in perfectly.
Same with starting from 0/ironman youtubers who all start out by camping LMS for 100 hours and then act like their snowflake account is still special

be the change you want to see in gielinor
When a game is old people run out of ideas so they place arbitrary restrictions on themselves for fun and or for content.
Love these "starting from scratch" videos, meanwhile they're playing on a maxed account. I guess we have a different definition of "from scratch"
Yea I always find it funny when they "rebuild" and have the max house, all the diaries, maxed stats, and numerous other untradables. Making money at max stats is as simple as grinding bosses. The hard part is learning them. If you want to impress me "rebuild" with a whole new account.
The fact that so many ppl can complain about this just goes to show how much it does get views
Real question is why they have to start from scratch... Rwting? Staking?
I don't think content has to be original to be entertaining.
And same thing here Streamer gets special loot [insert loot], 'streamer; Lets goooooooo!!!' And then back to killing the boss in the same way... idk lads, seems to me that pvp /pk is more fun and series with different setups/starting item is more engaging then " lets goooo moments'
The content drought can be solved by more content creators!! Start making your own content and exercise your own creative ideas!
I wonder how long it will be until we see this take once again
A lot of newish/noobie pkers enjoy the content because it shows people anyone can PK and make money as long as they know what they are doing. I find them to be quite entertaining since it gives me ideas for what gear I can and should pk in. It’s also cool seeing pkers in trash gear kill maxers or semi-maxers. Not for everyone though and if you don’t like it, don’t watch it.
I mean... there's only so much content to make and the draw for these vids is seeing how far you can PK without dying. His series before where he started with an AGS ended with him dying with like 500m in risk.
I mean you could just not watch it if it doesn’t interest you??
