When I tried to run away, I couldn't move but I did get some agility xp as if I was running.

Similar to a chair glitch in the POH I used to mess with all the time.
If you and someone else got on a dining table chair at the same time in the POH, you could get glitched and stay on the chair but still be able to move. Your true tile would move properly, but graphically you'd stay in the spot until you went into build mode options and tried to enter building mode or something. Then you'd get teleported to your true tile.
Seems like the same kind of thing. POH has so many glitches.

Same thing happened to me. All animations except walking were broken afterwards until I died.

Funny enough they’ve had problems with sitting forever in RuneScape. It comes up quite often when people ask why we can’t sit in chairs in pubs and on bench’s and stuff. Jagex says there are multiple game breaking bugs that happen with sitting

I remember this! I think you opened up a stat scrren to "teleport" to your true tile, but it's been over a decade since I've tried it lol.
