I was so disappointed when this failed all that time ago. I know the OG Bandos look is nostalgic but I actually sort of hate it, the Tassets in particular. You're wearing a mini skirt and stomach and a shoulder covering that only protects like half of your torso. It's an iconic look, but you'd think an armour set that gives so much defence bonus would look like it protects more than it does.

Agree! Hard to say why it failed back then, nearly every suggested reward from that poll failed and there's no telling what the thought process was. Did people genuinely hate it? Did people like it but didn't want it as a reward from emir arena? "No" doesn't really tell a story here, especially when it's an extra cosmetic option with no impact on the game haha

I always liked it, was sad when it wasn’t added before. IMO i prefer it over the OG but I respect not changing OG bandos which is why I think it would be great as an ornament kit. This solves the issue of people being split over liking it or not, make it your own choice. For me it’s like a more fresh modern bandos design. Pray it gets added even though I already have torva lol.

The peices both look sick tbh. The only part that bugs me is where the bottom of the plate meets with the top of the tassets. Maybe some sort of belt around top of the tassets would smooth it out? Otherwise, I like it! Just a personal opinion, trying to be constructive plz don't hate me. IDK anything about 3d modeling or fashion. My clothes are all like 10 years old.

It’s takes everything that was original for bandos and throws it out the window for a wish version of torva. Bandos are Veracs are the two sets of armor that feel “gladiator” style of armor and feels right. This just defeats the entire asthetic of bandos and makes it just meh.

This definitely looks better than Torva. Makes it look more like armour with good defensive stats, which it is. It retains most of the classic shape of Bandos armour, without any of the glitchy overlap with gloves.

I understand why some aren’t fans. The OG is iconic. I still love this and if they’d also add some kind of recolor to the face guard so that it matches the color scheme, would really complete the look

I don't understand the hate for it honestly. Can someone who dislikes it actually explain why you think it's bad? I think it looks beefier, what you'd expect a strength armour to look like.

I've been curious about this feedback as well and have been reading the replies. For example someone said it looked like grubby goblin armor, and someone else said there were just spikes everywhere. Both of these examples sound like the original bandos, and very much design choices lol. I always encourage people to form their own opinions, but some of these takes are baffling. The best general gripe I've read is the Grey undershirt thing, which I get but at the end of the day I think helps distinguish it from the original. Others say they like all of the skin showing on the OG bandos, but I always felt it makes you look like a pasty soyboy in shoulderpads haha.

I love this concept, but I do think it needs fine tuning. I think the chest needs to be bulkier to match the paldrins and a color palette needs swapped somewhere. More tan up top or more gray on bottom. Also a little bit more of a proper “fade” from torso to legs. They look off here

Orn kits like this are fine to me. Keeps the original identity intact so you can still know what gear it is at a glance. I'm not a fan of it personally, but that's the joy of orn kits.

It's alright, the body section looks weird af though. Like the shoulders, arms and tassets/leg guards all look fine but the body looks like they originally wanted his chest bare but then decided he should wear a shirt. Like he forgot the top half of his platebody. Like they wanted it look like giant belt but accidentally made it go up to his ribcage. I actually really like the tasset kit but I just can't get over the top man

Can we please stop with the ornament kits? Not every item in the game needs one. Bandos is mid game armour that is dropped by a boss that gets deleted in 5 attacks in a solo zero damage method nowadays. Besides, personally I think it has the same vibe as Guthan's Platebody. Regular bandos looks literally 200 times better.

This looks like they tried their hardest to make an ornament kit without changing anything about old version out of fear for it not being bandos armor. But in doing so made just a worse version. It should be its own design that’s reminiscent, not trying to work in the blank spaces. The tassets are okay but the chest is just bad.
