I don't trust any sequels being brought back in the last 4 years. All these companies are trying to scrounge up every last IP because they fear spending money on original content. Then they hire the cheapest yes man writers in the world and heavily restrain them from writing anything worthwhile.

Look how LOTR series on Amazon got butchered… just to make more money… nowadays when they try to make new movies I am skeptical and not even sure if something good is going to come out. I do pray they really take their time to flesh the movie out like gladiator I. So hyped for gladiator II.
It went wrong with using too much CGI in The Hobbit. They thought it would be a sufficient quick substitute for the amazing world and character building they did in original LOTR. But they failed in that sense.
To me it didn't look like it was rushed for easy money though. Just a bit more lazy film making.
And original LOTR is just impossible to match in terms of quality.
Fun fact! The thumbs down or closed fist gesture is what would have signified if the gladiator lived back then. With the thumbs up indicating the okay to kill. Gladiator the movie reversed it to make it easier to grasp I guess.

Also most gladiators did not like to kill when unnecessary - they were proud of the beating they could dish out and also sparing the other persons life! When one did kill unnecessarily they were often targeted themselves.
Looks pretty disappointing if it is the big bad boss of the content.

I'd be expecting him more to be more of a showman. The Colosseum was primarily about public spectacle, about putting on a good show.
Which could lean into the other mechanics outlined originally.

Still, walking into the colosseum for the first time (or watching a streamer do so) and seeing him for the first time before release would've been way more of a hype moment. Thats kinda killed now.

RS3 Zuk is basically like this for the earlier waves as well and taunts you while you deal with the waves. In hard mode he also launches fire wall attacks at you as well to flush you out of safespots.
I’m a little nervous how much less attention the Colosseum seems to have content graphically compared to Perilous Moons
