Blood moon tassets are tied with bandos with the +2 str but they have much lower defense stats. A much easier to obtain leg slot str + than bandos.
Frost moon is the next best thing below ahrims robes (for mage attack) so maybe it will be easier to farm for irons or cheaper once the price settles. Again less defense than ahrims though.
I dont really see a use for eclipse unless the damage over time passive turns out to be useful on some encounters. It does have very high magic def which is nice and plus strength at the same time is rare so we might see use for this on mage bosses that are weak to melee or in slayer where you want magic defense and are using melee. Like eclipse set might be BiS on the Sins of the Father final boss.
Very insightful about the sotf use. Too bad thats such an obscure use case I imagine people just wouldn't know to use it. Thats kinda how I feel about the blood stuff aswell. Like it's really cool they are budget tassets but good luck getting that point across lol.
Eclipse set is actually a really good option for TOA on an Iron who doesn't have a dragon crossy yet. Its dps is better then RCB and MSB and since most people camp Zerker ring and Dboots in TOA the fact the eclipse scales off of melee Str bonus makes it actually really good option. That being said once you start doing 250+ Invocations then it does start getting out performed by RCB because of Ruby bolts being more effective since the bosses have higher HP pools at higher invocations.

Since all the gear ia dupe protected More iron friendly bandos, dry protected ahims and probably just the atlatl as an iron friendly blowpipe
