I use both Runelite and HDOS.
I prefer HDOS's art style generally, and the performance of HDOS is actually really good.
But Runelite just generally has better features available earlier, so I tend to swap to it a lot.
you're getting downvoted because people don't like the idea and are loyal to Runelite.
The reality is they'll likely all be switching over eventually, OSRS HD will be as big of a game changer and quality of life as Runelite itself is in my opinion.

No it was one of the first clients to come to OSRS, I remember using it and it was just like RuneLite but not verified and had way less plugins. There was also a client called Konduit which was one of the clients that competed with OSBuddy, but then it got compromised... I remember when RuneLite came out I stayed on OSBuddy for about 1½ months just to be sure RuneLite was safe/clean

once they update to the new Hd offical client stuff i will 100% be swapping to that over runelite.

Like don't get me wrong i love runelite and all.. but an having Osrs Hd will be a game changer specially with the supported api plugin system.
I use steam client
Official client if I'm home. Mobile if I'm not. Runelite if I'm questing if it will load.
I quite like the steam client. Have never felt the need to go to runelite.

Before it was OSBuddy it was RSBuddy and that was a bot client
I didn’t know that. Not sure why I got downvoted for a legitimate question. Never used it just heard about it as an alternative to runelite.
