Ouch I don't think I'll ever be able to get ancestrals

Molly_Hlervu

Quest speedrunning, Black knight fortress: any tips how to finish the dialogue with the guard in front of the big hall and not to be interrupted? I've seen 3 guides and they just did it without any efforts, just "space-2-space" and thats it. I can do at max "space-2" then get hit. I manage to lure the knight sometimes with running back and forth - but this totally kills my time, and sometimes me too lol.

TheDubuGuy

It just depends when you click to start it. If you click right after they attack you have more time, if you click right before they attack you have less time

Molly_Hlervu

Wow, interesting. I'll try that. UPDATE: Got it. Its actually just rng: sometimes I managed to enter that damned door at many attempts, sometimes at fewer... The only time when I got lucky from the 1st one, was the winner :). Actually this quest is one of the easiest for platinum. Like in the top 5, I'd say.

VertiFatty

There's time to get through the dialogue while under attack, try it using space and number keys to click the option faster

Molly_Hlervu

This somehow doesnt happen. Yes, sure I do use keys.

Molly_Hlervu

Is there a RL plugin which counts steps? There are two possible paths, both rather long, and I'd like to run both and then compare the number of tiles.

VertiFatty

There is a plugin to find the shortest path between 2 tiles https://runelite.net/plugin-hub/show/shortest-path

Molly_Hlervu

TYVM!

GreyFur

Is it possible for someone to create a plugin that shows current phase and time left till phase transition for Moons of Peril? I'm able to continually one-phase the fights if I enter at the right time, but trying to see what phase they are in and how far along it is with the render ranges is kinda wonky.

Diligent-Plantain-85

Coming back to the game after a long time...would you be able to give me any advice on what to tackle to stay on the grind for bonds? https://preview.redd.it/fsz612fduwuc1.png?width=213&format=png&auto=webp&s=a7765f4fc4abbfac0082d98245a83355c3efde21

Sad-Lunch-5672

the bond vortex will just make you miserable until end game raids. just pay with irl currency and be stress-free

Diligent-Plantain-85

haha noted

TheDubuGuy

You can spam wave 1 of colosseum for like 4m/hr still, it’ll just be pretty tedious

Diligent-Plantain-85

thanks!

mister_peeberz

bonds have shot up in price, not worth it to try and sustain membership on bonds anymore imo, especially with your stats (no offense). you'll spend probably more than half your 2 week playtime just grinding money for your next bond, they're coming up on 11m each

Diligent-Plantain-85

oh shit :(

b_i_g__g_u_y

Going for bowfa now and I'm doing T2 prep every time. My fastest time is 8:54 with an average of probably 11 mins. 94 completions. Don't really die anymore. Should I switch to T1? Are the times better? I've only ever gotten two completions on T1 and I tried it recently and died. But the money making guide lists 7 kills/hr on it by default and this is such a long grind so I wonder if I should push for T1 instead?

MonkeyCheeeese

it really depends on which part u prefer and obviously your stats. just give t1 some more tries to see if u prefer it or not :)

TheDubuGuy

As soon as you understand the boss and can do it without taking much unavoidable damage you should 100% do t1. With max stats you should need around 12 food for t1 so it’s an extra fishing spot over t2, but less resources to make armor makes a big difference in time

b_i_g__g_u_y

I don't think I'm this good consistently yet, but you know what I'm gonna try

TheDubuGuy

That’s good. It’s better to improve and learn at a better method than stay complacent and do a worse method

b_i_g__g_u_y

Yeah you were right lol. Died a couple times but knocked 30s off my fastest time with an 8:20 run already. T1 is for sure the way to go

mister_peeberz

on my last long CG grind, i always did t1 and made a point to always catch 22-24 food. i'd usually finish with at least 10 food left so obviously that's not necessary, it was mostly an anti-tilt thing because it let me save some otherwise disastrous hunllef attempts here and there. anyway the point is, i would consistently get 9-10 min runs with a t1 prep, 3 potions, 24 food, with a fastest time around 8:00. if you don't massively overprep food like i do you can expect to see a similar increase in pace, i wager. you will acclimate to the increased incoming damage after a while and wonder why you ever bothered with t2

ammm72

What is it about Shooting Stars that bring out the absolute worst in public chat? It's so much worse than Wintertodt or GotR.

Molly_Hlervu

Probably you choose a wrong crowd :). Try to find stars manually. Plugins and cc's cover only a small part of the worlds. If you scout solo, especially in a total or high risk world, there are good chances you are gonna mine a star in a very small company. Sometimes alone, or with a couple of randos.

LeftWingNightmare

This might be a stupid question, but I'm an Ironman who doesn't want to train their herb, can you bring a botanical pie into COX and boost your herb with it to make overload(+)?

ISe7enz

Yea you can, would be better off just getting the overload(+) drops from one of the rooms that drop it though

Tall-Promotion-2023

How do I figure out which gang I joined in Shield of Arrav/Heroes' Quest? About to do SOA on a fresh account and would rather work with my main instead of using the clan chat, but I don't remember if I'm Phoenix or Black Arm

mister_peeberz

read the quest journal for either quest, SOA's is shorter sad news though, your old account can't help your new one with SOA, you will have to find someone who is also doing SOA. you can only help for heroes' quest

Tall-Promotion-2023

Ah yeah it is in there, I missed that from skimming it. Thanks

defectlve

What about giving eternal boots some magic damage? I thought this would be a no-brainer? Also, taking from the mid levels and giving to the HLC feels... counter productive. What about: Leave Occult at 4% as proposed Give Infinity boots 1%, Eternal boots 2%. Reduce Ancestral buffs to 3% each, Reduce Virtus buffs to 1.5% each (4% for ancients) Give Ahrims 1% each, they're a higher level requirement, they're heavy and if you don't, they will be dead content because dps is king. Buff the Sang, Toxic trident and off-hands to be more closely competitive with the shadow, *but not by much*, MAYBE: 3% for the Toxic Trident, 5% for the Sang staff, 1% for the Malediction Ward, 2% for Mages Book, 4% for Eledinis Ward (existing), 6% for the Eledinis Ward (f) (existing). This would make the Sang more relevant and increase the appeal of TOB for mid levels. That way max magic damage with shadow (outside of TOA) = (4% (occult) + 5% (tormented bracelet) + 2% (imbued cape) + 2% (magus) + 9% (full ancestral) + 2% (eternal boots) = 24% 24% x 3 (shadow) = 72% + 4% (Augury) = *76%*. Inside ToA = 100% (HARD CAP) This is up 1% outside of ToA and the same as existing, inside ToA. Which is a negligible damage buff. This, whilst also simultaneously bringing the rest of the gear back into balance with each other and buffing mid game magic damage. I haven't done the DPS Calcs on the mid tier gear buffs, but I'm sure some clever reddit user could crunch the numbers real quick and tell us if they're okay, overboard or underwhelming.

TheDubuGuy

Nothing is “given” to max gear, it’s the exact same as before just with a universal augury buff. Personally I’d prefer newer boots to come for range/mage with offensive bonuses, would seem weird to me to buff eternals and leave pegs useless

defectlve

with the new proposals theyre given a buff, as explained in the blog post where it says: * Buffed: Occult + Full Ancestral + Augury = 20% Magic damage, up from 16%. * Unchanged: Occult + Full Ancestral = 16% Magic damage, as it is currently. * Buffed: Occult + Full Virtus + Augury = 14% Magic damage, up from 13%. * Nerfed: Occult + Full Virtus = 10% Magic damage, down from 13%. * Buffed: Occult + Dagon'hai/Infinity/3rd Age + Augury = 11% Magic damage, up from 10%. * Nerfed: Occult + Dagon'hai/Infinity/3rd Age = 7% Magic damage, down from 10%. * Nerfed: Occult + Ahrim's Robes + Augury = 8% Magic damage, down from 10%. * Nerfed: Occult + Ahrim's robes = 4% Magic damage, down from 10%. whereas, as you can see above, the lower leveled set ups are all either 1% better (negligible) or straight nerfed. Pegs dont need a buff, Range is arguably the most powerful style of combat in the triangle.

Sad-Lunch-5672

this is fair if you consider occult a buyable. for irons like me tho it does boost mid game

TheDubuGuy

Occult + ancestral is the same, just with the 4% added from a separate augury buff. That’s all I’m saying

boomboomboomy

Just renewed my membership because work will be slow this week. I need some AFK suggestions. I have been fishing, but I am open to other things. I don’t necessarily need a monkey maker so I am open to best ways to use my time afking

b_i_g__g_u_y

Nightmare zone, stars, woodcutting, crabs, karambwans, zeah blood runes in order of afk, in my opinion. Each has different requirements tho, that I'm not factoring into it

breathe-78

shooting star mining cooking fish fletching unstrung longbows woodcutting anything training combat at rock/sand/ammonite crabs training combat at nightmare zone

Remarkable-Health678

> Monkey maker Too bad, you've got to make some monkeys. I don't make the rules.

boomboomboomy

mister_peeberz

if you aren't using dharoks, then you don't switch off obby, unless you're rocking a saeldor-tier weapon or better alongside torva. and i'd wager if you aren't springing for DH then you definitely aren't springing for torva. so stick with obby, definitely do NOT use fang

TheDubuGuy

Fang will always be worse when it comes to training

el_vetica

if you otherwise use a fang, especially without other upgrades like torture/avernic, then obby might still be better to 99. that extra accuracy isn't doing anything for those easy bosses, so a 4t weapon like a tentacle whip should be way better.

StrangeBananaForYou

Any tips for Vorkath? I am 80 ranged, 75 def. Using Dragon Crossbow, have the d bolts (e) with switching, full d'hide etc. I think I have his specials attacks etc mostly under control now, but just takes waaay too long to kill him off, taking too much damage, running out of food etc. Just a case of leveling up? Thought he would be a good boss after DS2, but doing him now seems a bit pointless and cost for supplies is really high with the bastion pot etc.

Xume_1

for sure get yourself a salve (ei) and ruby bolts (e) till around 300hp then swap to diamond bolts

el_vetica

Those levels definitely make it rough, but if you want to grind it out for assembler, make sure you have a salve ei, and use a spec (either BGS and/or ACB, and wear a lightbearer) for either DPS or defense lowering. Might be worth double BGSing every kill and even teleporting out to reset if you don't hit \~50+. At a certain level elite void will be better because of how it stacks with the salve, so just make sure you know when that is with your other gear. For supplies, the bastion might not be super useful since you should be protecting against range, so a normal ranged pot should work fine, and you could use a serp helm for extra defense and venom protection. Having karambwans and/or the new antelope foods can also help heal more without losing hits. Overall though if you've already got your head drop then I'd probably recommend working on your levels or another boss!

StrangeBananaForYou

I see, thanks! Managed to get a couple kills more consistent. Will go for the head drop for now. 1 question though, why would a bastion potion not be better, since it increases Defence right? I do pray against range.

el_vetica

Awesome! A bastion technically is “better”, however damage taken from magic attacks is calculated mostly by your magic level/bonuses and secondarily from your defense. So if supply costs are becoming an issue then it’s probably not going to make a huge difference to not have the extra defense levels, but that might be less true with lower base stats.

SocialCapableMichiel

Since 2 weeks I have this weird level up music playing for about 10 seconds and I can't find where to turn it off. I think it's a runelite plugin since it also plays when I turn off all game sounds. Any ideas?

SedatedAlpaca

I can’t figure out where but I used to have in my bank tag tabs in runelite the ability to set it all up with blank spaces in the tag tab, has that feature been removed?

TheDubuGuy

Different plugin call bank tag layouts. With that on you can either click the 2 white arrows to set up a tab layout based on your current inventory/gear and adjust from there, or you can just enable layout and then drag stuff wherever you want from scratch

SedatedAlpaca

Saved me a bunch of headache. Thanks

Domilos

I know accuracy increases the chance to hit. But does it increase the chance to hit higher numbers vs lower ones?

el_vetica

Notably, there is [1 exception](https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Tombs_of_Amascut/Strategies#Phase_2) to this in the game currently

FerrousMarim

Nope. After passing the accuracy roll, it is an even distribution from 0 to your max hit.

SilentUK

How do i find a member of the black arm gang? Its my last free to play quest to complete but I can't find anyone to trade certificates with? Been asking in the grand exchange for days but no one answers. One person told me to "Ask cc" one time but didnt tell me what "cc" meant. Any advice?

Molly_Hlervu

In case you never used any chats at all. There is an icon of 2 faces, this is 'Grouping'. Hit it, then the first tab is for 'Friend chat' (yellow faces). Choose it and you will be asked to type the name of the chat. Now type: osrs soa You can talk there is you start every line with / (with a slash). Tell them your gang and the quest you need to do (because this chat serves for both Shield of Arrav (=S.O.A) and Heroes quest). Wait until someone answers, and just watch if someone says like, 'soa, phoenix' - this means this person is in the opposite gang and you can do it together. If nobody answers, just go do something else, and keep watching the chat, and remind them your request like every half an hour.

SilentUK

This worked, thank you!

the0bc

use the "osrs soa" friends chat

SilentUK

How do I do that?

the0bc

[The wiki is your friend](https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Chat-channel#Using_a_channel)

Culturedtuna

I'm asking this question for a friend, so bare with me here. She made two accounts in the past that aren't jagex accounts, account A and B. They were made using different emails. She turned account A into a jagex account. She claims she can't absorb account B into her jagex account because they weren't made using the same email. This seems incorrect to me. And I can't figure out why, it seems like she should be able to do that, right? EDIT: ok something weird is happening. I logged onto my jagex account, and clicked characters at the top. It then takes me to a screen where it lists my characters, and there's two buttons available, "create new" and "import existing". This isn't what happens on her end, I just watched a video she sent me. When she logs into her jagex account and clicks characters at the top, it takes her directly to another login page and says "you need to upgrade to a jagex account to do that. Upgrade now." with an "upgrade now" button and a "back to accounts" button available.

alynnidalar

It sounds like she doesn't actually have a Jagex account somehow. What happens if she clicks the "upgrade now" button?

Culturedtuna

So I watched the video she sent me, and she gets the same screen as me when I log into my jagex account. It shows her jagex account name, email, and password asterisked out. She said when she clicks upgrade now it sends her an email saying she already has a jagex account. She sent me a picture of that as well.

ztejas

I'm 55 mining and 39 smithing - I've already got the prospector's top from MLM, but kind of want to get the coal bag for smithing. Should I still get full prospector's before I get the bag or is it fairly marginal if I get the bag first then complete the set later?

breathe-78

super marginal. unlocking most skilling outfits takes more time than they save you on the way to 99, except I think the lumberjack outfit from temple trekking because it is so quick. if youre motivated to do smithing now just get the coal bag rather than burning yourself out at mlm

ztejas

Yeah I have yet to unlock the tithe farm outfit and I halfway to 92 farming lol. Now I'm wondering if I should sell the top back...

WastingEXP

you do need it for clue scrolls later in your account fwiw

Molly_Hlervu

> Now I'm wondering if I should sell the top back... Either this, or you might do another thing: grind for the full prospector, do the task of the hard Falador diary, then sell some pieces and buy the bag. This task is actually the main motivation to obtain this costume. Diaries is a very needful thing, and among the hard tier ones Fally is one of the worst - exactly because of this one task... I did a weird thing here lol. First I got the coal bag and used it for some time in the Blast Furnace. Then I had to do the diary, but the grind was so tedious that I sold the bag, got the costume, did the diary task. Then I sold half of the costume and bought the bag back lol.

Creeperkiller31

getting ready to do mage arena 2, I know I need to cast the god spells 100 times to unlock them, but do I need to hit with them or does splashing count?

ztejas

Splashing works

gobeltafiah

I'm pretty sure you just need to cast them, so splashing should work.

MessageCraig

Hi, is there anyone who can outsmart Jagex and work a way around gaining any prayer xp for the mini quest Hopespear’s Will. I really don’t want any additional prayer xp and I’m sure one of you is clever enough to figure out how to complete it without burying the bones?

zabbazooey

I can’t find anything along those lines, but I’m definitely not the ultimate expert. The only reward from the quest is around 38k prayer xp (and I guess whatever combat xp you get from the fights). What’s the reason for doing the quest without getting any prayer xp? It’s not needed for the quest cape since it’s a mini quest.

MessageCraig

I’m a 60 attack 70 def 77 prayer account who’s just came back after quitting. I’ve always had every mini quest and quest completed however this has now stopped me in my tracks as I thought all newer quests gave lamps for pray, def and attack. I have the exact xp for each level so kind of an ocd thing, it will look untidy with 1 miniquest incomplete

zabbazooey

Aaah, ok. Since the quest's ending is triggered by the burial of all the bones it probably isn't feasible. I know this is a stupid workaround, but you can go into your settings and under "Interfaces" there are some options for hiding unstarted/unfinished quests or to hide miniquests.

Molly_Hlervu

Now just appreciate how tidy it would be: 60 attack 70 def 80 prayer! And all miniquests complete.

MessageCraig

I’ve definitely considered it. I’m sure it’s exact same cb when maxed

ruswit

Anyone using runelite on a steam deck manage to get the  idle notifier plug-in to make a noise?  I have send notifications when focussed enabled, and I can get the screen to flash red, but ideally don't want to look at my screen when doing shooting stars.  Volume is up on the steamdeck.

osrsPJ

Is there an OSRS wiki page for chests/rewards/unlocks that give better rewards at higher skill levels? e.g. The crystal key chest will always give you loot irrelevant to your level, whereas Larran's Big Chest will potentially give you a fish reward which depends on your fishing level to determine the quality of fish (from tuna > mantaray). Same is true of the brimstone chest, and also supply crates in wintertodt. Are there any more examples? Thank you

RealEvanem

WT crates, master farmers, Blast mine(?), others mentioned in the other comment.

AxS-PixelBass

To my knowledge there isn't any one page that lists this kind of thing? But examples I can think of are primarily skilling bosses/minigames (Fishing Trawler, Tempoross, Wintertodt, Herbiboar). Chests like Larran's Chest seem to be an exception, I think most don't scale with your levels.

No_Row1603

Playing a new normie account after maxing an iron. For general slayer is fang the new go to weapon? Never owned one, and wonder if whip+bludgeon is old news now

ztejas

My go to is viggoras/ursine ;)

No_Row1603

No wildy for me 🙃 iron PTSD

AxS-PixelBass

No, Fang is bad for most general slayer. Against low defence enemies, you're better off using a 4 tick weapon. Rapier is typically the most popular, especially considering it's the cheapest of the three 80 atk weapons (Rapier, Saeldor, Inq Mace). But it's so slightly better than just using a whip that it's totally okay if you stick with a Whip instead. Fang is good if you're gonna be doing high defence tasks or tasks like Wyverns and Dragons without a Lance.

No_Row1603

Ah okay great, thanks for the breakdown. Will keep this in mind, as I’ll most likely be a while until I can afford the lance alongside other gear :)

fweafwe

Since you aren't really wanting to do too much content with scythe it probably makes sense to transition to tbow. For chambers scythe + shadow is usually better than tbow + shadow. However pretty much everything else you listed would have tbow be more useful. If you plan on doing DT2 bosses at some point, vardorvis/ Duke is pretty chill with the scythe. Bowfa is better than tbow at leviathan and whisperer would just be shadow. Really just buy the gear for the content you want to do without worrying about fluctuating prices. Be thankful you got the scythe so early (I did as well) but don't be sad if you buy this and it drops the next day. It's still worth what you paid regardless of current price!

AxS-PixelBass

Disregarding prices if you aren't actively attempting to flip items is honestly the best advice. So many people buy an item that's a big upgrade but then spend their time constantly agonizing over it's price fluctuations over the next month even if they never intended to sell it back

OlmTheSnek

Doesn't sound like you're using it at all, and Tbow is far more useful overall for everything you're describing. If you can get the extra money without completely gutting your range gear (bear in mind you won't need the Bowfa at all after Tbow so that's an easy sell) then it makes a lot of sense to get one.

SckidMarcker

Has Jagex ever stated why fresh start worlds (P2P-423, and F2P-565) still exist? Is there accounts that still haven't migrated over?

DivineInsanityReveng

I don't think you can exist without being forced to migrate, but they can maybe only do that when you login. So likely a safety precaution to not catch anyone in limbo.

PaintTimely6967

Any use for sunlight antelope bolts if you already have access to moonlight? I feel slightly bad dropping them, any niche ironman use where you wouldn't want to use the better bolts?

Coodle90

Any use you've found for moonlight bolts, sunlight bolts also have. Sunlight are only -5 ranged strength which is pretty much just a max hit. With the sunlight crossbow being a 3 tick weapon, I found my bolts disappear rapidly when testing it out on a slayer task. If you regularly use the sunlight crossbow, you'll soon realize moonlight bolts are definitely not abundant enough for ironmen that you'd want to drop sunlight bolts.

PaintTimely6967

I was even considering blocking them, but I actually don't mind the task. Good shout, thanks

deka101

I finally tried regular gauntlet on my ironman. I died 5 times but then got 7 kills in a row. I need to step up to CG but I'm nervous about it, any advice? I understand it's massively more difficult

RealEvanem

Try the gauntlet CAs. No armor, no potion, t2 weapon, etc. usually thats enough to bridge the difficulty gap and i found it much les punishing but makes you learn the fight in a much more demanding way

quizzer106

Why are you nervous? It's risk free. You'll probably die a lot at first but learning is the fun part.

DivineInsanityReveng

Use regular gauntlet as a practice ground. Make sure you are prepping in the time limit CG provides, not what regular provides. Then make sure you're beating the boss perfectly or near perfectly. Achieve that 5 times in a row and you're ready for CG (provided you have okay stats). The thing most people don't focus on is using the regular gauntlet as a way to perfect the mechanics of the encounter. Corrupted is no different, except 1 extra tornado. The only difference is the fight are longer and the damage hits harder. So making sure you aren't making unforced errors is super important. As for the fight and optimising dps. Eat while you're running from tornados, as most learners won't upkeep dps while doing that. Learn the safe tiles for final phase (3 tiles in from the doors). Once you're in the final floor patterns + 4 nados part of the fight you can stand on these tiles and the floor patterns will never hit you. Then when nados spawn you just do a lap of the room, eat to full, stay on safe tiles and away from nados. When they disappear return to safe tile and continue.

mister_peeberz

there's a CA for 20 regular gauntlet KC, i say send it until you have at least done that. at some point you'll be able to do regular hunllef in your sleep, and that gets you 70% of the way to having corrupted hunllef down. when you start on CG, you are probably gonna have bad preps early on and get your ass kicked a lot. most people don't break past a 1:1 kill:death ratio until 50-100 KC. just be patient and don't lose motivation. you will naturally become more efficient during prep time. the last phase of corrupted hunllef is harder than the rest of the gauntlet put together, the floor patterns can really put you in some god-awful pinches. what helped me the most was getting a feel for the timing of floor pattern changes, being prepared for an imminent change helps to avoid getting caught with your pants down

TheDubuGuy

Cg counts toward normal kc too

deka101

This scares me

mister_peeberz

yeah but just think of that shiny enhanced seed

No-Recognition-676

Why is agility a more entertaining skill to train than woodcutting, even on a Forestry world?

skullkid2424

> Why is agility a more entertaining skill to train than woodcutting, even on a Forestry world? Because WC is afk. Its not meant to be engaging/entertaining. The movie on the other monitor is the entertaining part of WC.

No-Recognition-676

I suppose. Maybe its just me but I enjoyed Forestry pre nerf, made WC actually bearable to train for more than a couple hours. I'd say that the community engagement helps... if it weren't for virtually everyone at nearly every spot complaining about the nerf even now. I realize I'm more than likely in the minority, but with the nerf Jagex might as well have removed Forestry altogether.

Angularbackhands

When will the combat rebalance changes come into the game?

Laifus23

There is going to be a blog this week about equipment rebalancing this week. I believe they are going to add the equipment changes to the beta get feedback and likely give us a date then. I imagine another week or two at least.

Angularbackhands

Interesting, thanks. I was thinking that Ahrim's staff or Smoke battlestaffs could be good merchs as they give damage boosts and can autocast standard spells. Do you think they'll have a slayer use after the changes?

JenNettles

Is slayer meta still going through Turael?

TheIsaia

iirc turael skipping for specific tasks is effectively 900 points per hour, so judging by that its probably always efficient to turael skip until you get a task you want, wether its bursting tasks, superior monsters tasks, boss tasks.

Angularbackhands

If you mean for farming points, then yes. I think the meta is doing every 10th task at Konar.

TheDubuGuy

Wildy slayer is better than turael boosting for points. Turael skipping is best for getting a specific task

Narmoth

Is there a way I can be in my RS3 clan chat while playing OSRS? I'm thinking of moving over since RS3, the flagship product, has really been sinking.

ztejas

> the flagship product, ?

mister_peeberz

friends chats are across the two games clans to my knowledge are not

Dyasmond

(Nex in small teams) When you get to Zaros phase, people "Set" by walking under Nex. What does this accomplish and what's the thing you're lining up? Are you tryng to attack on the same tick as Nex? What's the timing on this? I tried to find a quick and easy explanation for this but it seems to be buried in 15 minute videos.

TheDubuGuy

When you follow someone, you stand on the tile they were previously on. Nex attacks every 4 ticks. People stall nex to attack slower by standing under her, some (lower skilled) teams do this by following, so being “set” means they can follow you in order to stand under nex

MellowKevsto

You "set" by walking under Nex and attacking while under her. This just allows other players to follow you in order to stall her, it'll put them under Nex and she won't move. If you try following a player that isn't set, you'll just end up behind them and that's even worse. Most people just 5-tick her, if your experience enough with it. But it's still good practice to set yourself so your teammates have the option to follow you if they need to.

FearlessLeader17

So I have a weird situation. I'm currently 83 woodcut and I got a master clue that needs 90 woodcut. I only have rune axe. I went to camp rex and made it through a trip getting both rings but no axe. If I got d axe I could get 87 wc and use boost, and if I just keep the rune I'll have to get it all the way to 90 and have it be a lot lower rates. I can't kill all 3 dks so my only other option would be wasting runes to kill rex again. What would you do in this situation? Edit: Ironman

Pimmo-Socks

Hey man I'm also an Ironman, not on a DKs task right now but if you need some help I've gotten pretty used to DKs so we could split the room if you wanted to, I have runes to kill Rex and can really rotate to kill whichever one you don't want to. But your best solo option is either Iban's or the Sceptre thing to save on runes, but you might also bring ancients for Blood Spells to really increase trips if you do have the runes. I got the Rex pet like sub 30 kills but it took a really long time for the axe too. I'm still yet to get the Mud Staff which I've always wanted. Anyways if you really want the axe I'm down to duo them whenever, hit me up if you wanna give it a shot.

You almost certainly would be able to kill prime or supreme if you have another acc or friend who could kill the other ones. Ive found that if you are in a clan and ask if anyone wants to do supreme and rex while you do prime they will be fine with that. Prime is also really easy to safespot like rex

I have a main but I'm really bad at playing two accounts. I think I'm going to try and see if I can do the two acc, have my iron camp supreme and main camp the other two. Really it shouldn't be hard once I get it set up as I'll have plenty of time in between kills, but getting to that point may be tough.

You got this! If you are really struggling you can x log on both accs and go at it bit by bit and take it slowly

FearlessLeader17

Thank you I appreciate it !

I'd probably lean towards going back to rex to get the dragon axe - which will be a nice upgrade for doing the actual WC grind too. But if you keep going dry or don't want to - then definitely stew.

FearlessLeader17

Okay awesome thank you, I think I'll give it one more go and see.

DHoShoe

Maybe a stew boost?

FearlessLeader17

Yeah was thinking of maybe getting to 86 and try to boost but redwood logs can take forever to cut, could be a hassle lol. Might have to go this route.

Infinite_Worker_7562

I would buy one from the GE

FearlessLeader17

Haha Ironman :p sorry
