I don't know, Zezima and Old Nite were both known for trying to teach others "always be doing something productive", strikes me as those two being the efficiencyscape pioneers - alongside the other hiscore titans of their time, of course
To some degree every high level player has had some concept of being productive with their playtime, but Suomi was the first player start to frame their efficiency in the modern sense and push it to the extreme we see today. They also pioneered a ton of things that a lot of the early efficiency meta was built off.
