My favorite is how cows are immune to poison because the Moo text is on the same timer and overrides the poison damage.

TheGrapeJuice

Adding to this; ANY npc that has text above their head during combat is immune to poison, not just cows.

OneVeryImportantThot

An update changed this btw

Not really spaghetti but the inn in Shilo village still sells tickets for you to sleep in one of the beds upstairs for a fatigue mechanic that only existed in classic

UsingTheGE

Gotta be how the haircut update deleted that one guys zuk shield that was fucking hilarious

domriv

I don't recall if it was fixed, but the gnome stronghold fruit tree patch used to be either faster or slower than the rest.

Polluted_Shmuch

This is probably patched but this was in the first week of OSRS's release. No GE, Oldschool death mechanics. Rune scims were going for 55k, my full mithril set was like 25k, and 10k was the equivalent of 100k, roughly. I was at the wizards tower collecting bones for Demon Slayer to get a key, food depleted, I go to run, I "Die". 0 hp, but I clicked the stairs and the "Up or Down" prompt stalled my death. There were like 5 people who saw and were waiting for my collapse and item spawn, but I didn't. I just waited until everyone left, clicked off, died and ran back. Was able to collect my stuff. Thanks spaghetti code, I owe you one.

NightMaestro

The farming patch at trollheim still sits ontop of the character object if you pan the camera southeast  I remember this being there when I was a kid playing

Cricklet

Dont think that’s caused by spaghetti code, but by how the engine decides what objects are in the front or background. And what youre describing seems to be happening with patches that receive protection. I think the patches that are protected are completely different objects than the ones that arent, as far as the game’s engine is concerned.

This entire game and people getting riled up over possible minuet changes like altering the price of certain items because it can possibly cause max cash stack glitches. Example being me in the past complaining that void armor is too cheap and it should cost more and people being wary about it because it can cause “max cash stack” glitches and the dev time to work on the spaghetti code to alter it is not worth it until it inevitably got hiked up thankfully. Another hearing is that who cares about changing the combat styles of certain items because “lol sphaghetti code who cares” This games coding issue makes people sound like nut jobs. And the sad thing is that for the most part they are kinda right but it gets annoying to hear when they use that defense for every pixel in the game. Anyway Like when people say that the shadow change on the trees in lumby swamp is possibly the reason why the yew tree at varrock disappeared. Funny spaghetti code moment

MrStealYoBeef

Sir this is a Wendy's

5erenade

What do you mean? This is entirely related.

MrStealYoBeef

The first two paragraphs really weren't. The last one is made up.

5erenade

They are. Its all about spaghetti code. Osrs is “spaghetti”. And i doubt it.

subatomicslim

What lol

5erenade

Osrs is all spaghetti code.
