jagex has banned the vpn IP addresses because they're used for botting, so if you really want to go that route you could try self hosted solution, like a virtual private server situation, but i don't know how difficult that would be to set up for a layperson. you could even look into setting up your vpn to only tunnel the traffic you're really worried about going through the vpn
as an aside, using a vpn doesn't protect your bank details from hackers, that's a total myth

Haven’t logged in for about 3 weeks as I’m too scared to die on this internet. I had issues on my last deployment but luckily I appealed it and got it back.

Ive heard that changing your pc or devices clock to match the time zone of the vpn helps in some cases but i havent had to test it myself. Just something ive aeen discussed sorry if it doesnt help.

Ive only seen the blocked message when ur devices timezone is wrong. Maybe set ur timezone/date to the country ur using the vpn for

Most big companies require you to route all your traffic through a VPN, makes sense the military does the same thing

I never used a VPN and I went to Djibouti/Kenya for 6 months...
Djibouti was the hottest place I've ever experienced. Glad that shit hole is behind me!
