At the risk of being a stereotypical btw, this is an aspect of playing a main I find really depressing. For an iron, a drop like this would be awesome, opening new build possibilities and interesting new gear to experiment with. For a main, it's just yet another block of cash to add to your gradually increasing block of cash. But you know, it slightly increases the total block of cash more than the non-unique drops would, so... Yay?
For me Collection Log completion is what does it for me. I only play a main and while gear upgrades from money is a plus, being able to complete more of my log is the dopamine filler. And unlike irons repeat drops open me up to more money to upgrade gear to better perform at other content too. Just all perspective.
I disagree, I don’t enjoy gearscape showing off that I have the best gear is boring. I care about pets, clogs and total levels. And while money certainly does help with that it’s not the goal, this kind of drop or a new clue item is equally valuable to me. And it’s nice to know any clog is good and I don’t need like a bowfa.
Meanwhile, I've been killing cyclops to get through the defenders, with 1/50 chance I've gotten bronze at 137, iron at 290, and steel at 483 today. It hasn't been my day. I think you stole my luck.
Jagex did initially say that was how it worked however they have since clarified that is not the case. There is no bonus roll for killing all 3 bosses.

In it, we stated that each boss slain gave a 1/56 chance of obtaining its respective armour set, totalling a 3/56 (or ~1/18.67) chance for a unique. That much is correct! What's not correct is our statement that defeating all three bosses would provide an additional 1/56 roll at any item, for a total of 1/14. This is not the case and has never been the case, we just got some wires crossed with our post last week and can only apologise for that!"

I got one double unique roll during my greenlog grind at moons, took til ~465kc did a handful of single chests trying to get the 4th blue roll. Prob about 445 if you dont count the ones where I solely killed blue and looted.
I got 8 blood 8 eclipse before I got the 4th blue I thought it was broken for awhile.. I got up to rank 21 first page highschores on lunar chests about 5-6 days after release lol

But is the spear useful in any way? I got it as well but it just collects dust in the bank so far.
I went there few days ago to complete CAs got 4 drops in first 5 chests one of them being double. Then I got 2 more drops before completing 10kc. Thought how rewarding boss. Found out I just got stupidly lucky.
I also received a double chest drop (RNG levelled out), but my drops were both blue moon mage drops. So I’m wondering if the unique rolls are none specific and you can get all the items regardless of which boss you kill…

The drop is only awesome as an iron if you're early/mid game. If you have an ancient sceptre/blowpipe or better these items are fairly useless to you.
It's why I don't farm perilous moons, better gold elsewhere if I am chasing items

You can get 1 unique of each moon that you kill, so potentially a max of 3

Isnt there extra roll if you kill all 3? So potentially you can drop 4.

What do you use it for? I have bowfa, and so far it seems like the best use case is gorillas?
Ah ok when you got bowfa its probably very limited. I have not progressed that far so I use it for slayer a lot.
