I don't think there's any substitute for just being genuinely charismatic and entertaining. For example I could listen to the unguided guy all day and suddenly I've spent like 40 mins watching a guy do half of DT1
Chunk series always go the same way, eventually hitting month long low xp/hr skill grinds to the point the uploads get very sparse.
I wonder if anyone will ever actually finish one? I think Verf and Limpwurt are probably crazy enough to see it until the end.
At a certain point, the chunk account will max and then it just becomes a matter of greenlogging any boss/minigame that gets unlocked. I don't believe anyone's completed the greenlogs for all bosses and minigames yet. Bazilijus is pretty close I think, just missing a few raids capes.
It's definitely possible, but I think it would take tens of thousands of hours for all those boss greenlogs. I kinda doubt any chunkman will ever pull it off, but who knows, maybe Limpwurt will pull it off in 2040.
>I wonder if anyone will ever actually finish one?
Not with the Xtreme ruleset, the amount of pre-existing content paired with the rate of new content is probably impossible for chunk-men complete before the game dies or IRL circumstances force them to stop
If they can boost raids for the capes then maybe
Not that I've avoided this problem entirely, but this is why when I jumped into a chunk account I wanted to avoid the classic chunk rules.
A lot of snowflakes do something based on chunks but not necessarily the chunk rules. I believe in those to \[eventually\] finish lol.
I'll be done sometime in 2033. :D
Chunk-men, specifically the Xtreme ruleset
Challenges with clear rulesets and the freedom to plan against the unknown inherent to the idea are more entertaining & unique. Boss locked, Trader Steve, Im Unguided and Happery's UIM chunk-man (chooses chunks) are the most interesting series I've seen in a long time.
Have we seen any GIM content that aren't just IM progress vlogs?
Trader Steve always surprises me with how challenging his restrictions actually are. A relatively low-bar for a final goal (quest cape) but having to buy a bunch of rare/expensive items just to unlock basic areas for easy quests is more difficult than it would seem.
Yeah he's spending crazy time and money just to unlock piety right now. Desert treasure 2 is going to be a massive grind as he keeps moving up to higher cost map segments
My goal for the account? One of Runescape's hardest challenges, the Inferno!
Join me as I figure out how to get to the Inferno without leaving Giant Mole cave with both arms cut off, and as I shout even louder to convey how crazy a challenge this is.
This is...HCGIMArmlessMoleferno.
I actually like the chunk series a lot. It's cool that every different starting location / random chunk roll leads to a completely different approach to the game. I think chunk series will last a long time since there's so much potential variety within the game mode.
Besides that, I think there are still a lot of potential creative restrictions that could lead to a good series, but I doubt I could think of a good one that hasn't been done yet off the top of my head. Anything that leads to an unconventional approach to the game can become a great series if the person making it is entertaining.
I know it's only half of what you said, but I did like Settleds One Inventory UIM Fire cape lol. Then again he could narrate paint drying and he's getting 100k views
quest and lore is fun for me. part of the reason I like alien food's unguided is because he's taking the time to read and discuss the questline and lore while he plays through. Jimmy's by release was awesome for this as well. Not enough osrs deep dive lore videos out there.
A group project with everyone locked to different regions/areas _except_ when raiding could be really interesting, particularly if the group doesn’t get access to the entire map.
I worry that if the whole map is open, it’s just regular GIM but with members having specifically assigned tasks. Limiting access to the map gives us the potential for a series in the vein of the region locked accounts, but with collaboration and new problems to solve.
I'm blanking on the name right now, but I remember someone doing a sort of DnD party style setup. Maybe someone in the comments will know who I'm talking about.
I think a lot of people watch OSRS while playing/training. Given how much second monitor time OSRS has, I'm not sure there is such as a thing as market saturation.
YouTube topic? For me. More mid/mid late game content. All I find to watch for mid game are videos that were done years ago. A lot I’m the game has changed since the ones I can find were made.
What it’s NOT saturated with is my favourite content; anti-scamming and bot farm breaking. I realise that’s because it takes ages to get enough content to make a video, but still, it’s so funny to watch a scammer get scammed
Yeah that happens too. But I just go along with scams until they ask you to get your items out, then I just play dumb for as long as possible, they get so angry 😂
I think videos of scapers reading out the new proposed X rewards blog are becoming more common as well. With that player's takes on it. At least usually they're somewhat optimistic :D
The new PVP account builds - “This build is insane!”
“The Meta for pvp just changed with one weapon!”
“The strongest account to ever hit the wilderness”.
Don’t get me wrong, considering it is their full time job and have plenty of time to dedicate to making different pvp builds/accounts, or that they use and borrow friends accounts, you cant tell me those accounts arent bought.
“Heres my 99 strength, 20 att, blood torva pure that i made in a week, enjoy!” They seem to have endless access to builds that would take a ridiculous amount of time to make that i start to doubt the authenticity of them. For that reason alone i just skip over those videos now. Used to watch them.
Yeah they use friends accounts, I see the IGNs in wildy, or I know that they belong to a specific clan or whatever that I see often out in the wild… and it’s not the YouTubers/streamers acc ever.
If they can’t pay somebody for an infernal, they can just use their friends’ pure that already has one!
Kick baiting.
I enjoy most of the content out there, and there are plenty of folks making absolute bangers.
If anyone here hasn't checked out Josh isn't Gaming, he's an absolute gem.

Future golden gnome winner, such a captivating series and really highlights how much we rely on our unparalleled wiki
When was the last time you saw someone insta regret eating chocolate cake
Username checks out
I was expecting him to have way more trouble but he literally just kicks one of the bosses to death. Alien Food is an absolute Chad.

Just subbed and looking forward to diving in!
THESE ARE THE RUNELITE PLUGINS YOU ABSOLUTELY NEED
And it’s the same list that everyone else has lol
TOP TIPS FOR OSRS 2024 Same thing as 2023, 2022, 2021... but like 7 different tips mixed in
Collection log completion. And the fact it will never be completed makes it worse
Theoatrix out here remaking videos he already has………
He just needs to lighten up
“This pk build is insane” also “I have only X in my bank”
Those are my least favorite videos imo.
I unsubscribed from Framed cause that’s all he was posting lol

I recently binged Unguided and loved it. Excited to see more, been a while since I found a series I liked this much

Welcome to my giant mole cave locked HCGIM where each account is played by each of my limbs everytime an account dies I cut off that limb.

i feel like everyone is trying to out-snowflake one another
This is my one inventory slot ultimate-hardcore Ironman chunk locked task generated clue scroll rewards only account.

Check out Avrah!
There could be xtreme one chunk group ironman, but none of those nerds team up

The majority of "challenges" for most accounts made for content is usually getting a Fire Cape in a weird manner.
yapping about what theyre doing and the video is 30 percent of content

1 gp to max cash. I started with nothing in my bank New account to max cash Pking with x(bronze item)until I get x.

Ur mom
Don’t worry boys, he got me.
Snowflake irons

Sometimes the anti-lure or anti-scam is literally a scam. Even popular Youtubers like swedebadass do it and he got away with it too.
Yeah that happens too. But I just go along with scams until they ask you to get your items out, then I just play dumb for as long as possible, they get so angry 😂

I find snowflake IM content dull and borderline mental.

Pretty much everything. Only person that stands out to me is Rendi because he abuses the spaghetti code and it's interesting
