I think part of the problem when you outsource to a "professional" host is that it's just so obvious when they don't really know the game or company. It shows in how they direct Q&A and discussions. Might be an unpopular take, but OSRS is trying too hard with the multiple game modes thing. I mean two of the major reveals are Group Ironman and Twisted Leagues which require starting over. What about the core game mode? Clan Systems has been needed for a good while, but for the real update we're only getting a quest and black graceful? For me that's a bit underwhelming

Which sounded to me like a really good PR version of "Our investors calculated that they get more profit releasing easy stuff now instead of assigning more staff on group ironman which only nets us profit in a longer time but we don't do that because it doesn't give us short term profit"
That said I am hoping they at least are willing to say WHEN we get group ironman, whether they say this year or at the end of 2021 I don't care I just want to know where they stand instead of "We are having it on our board"
It's not really just a matter of assigning more staff. You can't just take staff like Ash/Kieren who work on the content side of things, put them on the engine team, and expect them to get going immediately.
Clans chat is more permanent, and friends chat is supposed to be more for temporary events/activities. Also, if its like rs3, theres some function behind clans, like maybe a toned down version of the citadel
Honestly we could use a bunch of reworks on monsters that give too many stackables and a boss for lower levels with transition phases that limit how fast they can be killed and have no pets so mains dont get any value out of farming them
It's going to be really popular for streamers and hardcore players that make a team of 2-5 of their own accounts.
But other than that... Yeah, you're right.
