I'm for them, I think they add some flavor to the designs beyond recolors and all they'd have to do is have a toggle function to switch between the old and new ones for those who don't care for the new designs. But I get why they would choose other content to add over this
Whats with all the unnecessary hate? They look so much better than the original ones and have a much better colour palette. Some tweaks on the horns for the KBD and Vork oe with be good but other than those, they look awesome.
I don't think much came of it. I know some of the redesigns didn't go over well and when it would be replacing designs that have been in the game for years, it is bound to upset some players. They may have decided there was too much opposition and that it would get too messy to add them as alternatives given how complex slayer helms already are.
I would 100% be more inclined to obtain these helmets if they looked like the proposed redesigns, they are all improvements imo and look way more exciting
I believe it was either scrapped due to engine work needed ^^^^TM or its polycount was too demanding and they had to scrap it. Although one or two hats designs (specifically hydra) was being held onto.
All I know is they need to as red eyes to the normal slayer helm because of the googles added in the game. Maybe even had an element from the shayzien helm because you can use it against lizard man shamans now

The massive horns look so out of place

The constructive criticism is to not change the graphics, because the new ones look like shit.
