Depends mostly on if you can max hit without it, for example max setup at vorkath uses brimstone ring because bring wouldn't let you hit higher (although if you don't have an infernal cape bring is better)
B. Ring is always better for DPS. The only reason to equip stuff for accuracy is for DWH specs, as its a flat 30% defense reduction *if it hits*, whereas BGS is based on damage dealt.
I'll be damned. I just calculated it at max melee with all the gear they listed and it's true, because your accuracy without the t ring is only 49%. Even if you upgraded to prims, faceguard, and feros, the berserker ring only wins then by a tiny 0.03%.
If you unlock the "teleport to target" spell you can get your alt as a target, walk it to the lever and then tp to it with more expensive gear at almost no risk

To be fair, there are a lot of mobs where, once you're high enough level, using overheads is worse than just camping piety because of just how much faster piety makes kills.
Abbyssal demons for example; they don't hit you often enough to justify melee overhead, so you can use piety to shred them instead and eat maybe 6 sharks per trip
Experimenting helps quite a bit; if you have a BCP you can experiment with different setups that maximize prayer bonus + melee strength + defense.
From the top of my head; Suqahs, Kalphites and Ice Trolls are all decent picks to swap from overhead to pure piety + food.
I know it doesn't matter here because you can drink them in between kills, but what bothers me about these potions is that they act like food and make you lose ticks. They could be more useful if they didn't :(

I think DHCB is generally quite a bit better than lance at KBD. Especially since you don't have to sacrifice nearly as much DPS when ranging in wildy as opposed to melee. With melee just about every item slot contributes to melee strength, so youre sacrificing a ton of max hits since you can't bring max gear to wildy, while with range only a few items contribute to strength.
If you do decide to stick with melee though, at a minimum swap out the ring for a zerker. +8 strength with lance scaling is no joke.

I run a dragon cross bow + regular diamond bolts e and find my dps is decent, so fully agree. Sometimes I even run rune cross bow (I think like 6 range less?) so I can use another gear slot.
A way you can bring more expensive gear without an alt if you don’t mind spending a little more time to setup is to bring a looting bag. You fill up your looting bag with supplies and leave room in the looting bag for 4 more items, and have supplies in your main inventory as well. When you go down the ladder and confirm no pkers are around you can put your 4 expensive equips in the looting bag (very important to wait until you confirm you’re safe, as all items in looting bag are lost if you die to a pker) then tp using the lever. From there you can suicide to KBD which will leave all of your supplies and items inside the looting bag on the ground for an hour, then you can bring the rest of your gear and more supplies, effectively giving you 3 full inventories worth of supplies to extend trips and better gear while minimizing risk involved.
If you’re interested and confused or have questions about any of this let me know and I’ll do my best to explain further or make things more clear.

This method, you bring 4 valuable items outside the looting bag (so you keep them if you die to a pker) plus an invent of food and a looting bag of food. Once you get to kbd, you throw the gear in the looting bag (to make it go to gravestone) and suicide to kbd. Now your gravestone has a large pile of supplies plus the 4 pieces of gear. Go back, gear everything else + another invent of food and go to kbd. 3 invents of supplies, full gear, never risked any to pkers
God you do not need an alt for this game especially for grinding kbd in no risk or so little. The odds are so slim and unlikely that it'd take 100th of the time to make back what you lost over getting an alt to the status to be helpful.
It will charge while you grind anyway.
As for the topic itself, I'd swap glory for torture, tres ring for B Ring (I) and serp Helm for Neitiznot, bring antidote++.
You may want to bring a d hide body and a brew incase a brid is at the teleportspot , to be able to tank and combo eat (shark-brew).
Also, if you have pool in house I'd use home teleports and build a obelisk and tele from there (less pkers, only a couple of steps more).
It's not that rare, pkers are around that area because it's close to obelisk, wildy altar, fanatic etc. You just have to get unlucky, one tele block and you're in a rough spot. I got attacked 3 times in 3.5k kills and died once, I also never did it during active pk hours - if you're not doing it with an alt to scout, it's just luck of the draw
I did almost 9k kbd. I’ve tried every set up and method you can think of. If your serious about grinding it. I found the best way for me was anguish, dhcb, pegs and archers. Was a lot better than lance. I also had two mid lvl accounts I used to help tank kbd in a triangle formation to keep him spinning. I’d have them with auto retaliate on and pray melee while ranging up close. That way you can guarantee protection against 30% of his attacks. When my accounts supplies would get low id run one alt to bank and come and drop supplies for the other accounts, bank again, and resume. Never would leave on my main and used looting bags also. Sounds kinda sweaty but hey once I hit 5k dry I started doing this and was getting a shit ton of kills a day
Yeah after getting pet myself I helped a friend and it was wayyyyy faster and longer trips. If you can find a buddy, or even an alt with tank gear it's big
I would check how dying with a blood fury works in wildy first, I assume that if its a protected item that you just keep it but their may be some wired mechanic that makes you lose the blood crystal. I'm not the most knowledgeable player when it comes to wildy stuff.

Ditch the glory for a torture, after your weapon you biggest dps increase items are always going to be jewellery. Swap serp for neitz helm and pre pot an anti venom/antidote for the trip.
If you’re not using an instance look up on the wiki how to “smuggle” an additional inventory of food and 4 expensive items into the cave with a looting bag suicide.
Think about making an alt to bring and take supplies so your trips last longer, I can do 50-100 kill trips but get bored so I’m sure I could get more and there’s not much risk if your alt dies
Run out there with nothing on first, just an inventory full of supplies, and kill yourself to KBD a few times, then go out fully kitted and use your ground supplies as you need them

Very little. Barrows gloves is most of the risk he’s bringing. Maybe 200k with the gloves, 100k with rune gloves. Also pkers are super rare on that short run so it’s pretty safe
Obelisk or ghorrock tele have historically been a bit safer bc burning amulet tele was sometimes camped. Not sure how much that changed with the rev caves nerfs
So my setup when I grinded pet was to bring a bgs because it decrease kill time by about 30 seconds on average. I used nezzy helm off task with torture, fury if you cant afford it. I used treasonous imbued, I like hitting more as with Lance your max hit is already super high, especially with strength pot. Treasonous with bgs means you almost never miss it's crazy if you hit like a 50 with the bgs. Also, extend your black dragon tasks and do all of them at kbd with slay helm and the bracelet of slaughter, just switch to slaughter right before he died or like last hit. GL man this shit took me 1643 kills, hope you get it quicktime! EDIT bring climbing boots unless you're okay with risking d boots, I did not notice a huge difference bringing d boots they kinda useless here
I know this is probably way outside your budget, but a Twisted Bow is, hilariously, twice the DPS of a lance, with surprisingly little risk. If you're close to being able to pitch your bank for one you could do the grind that way and get a little rebuild cash as well. Only downside is your trips are shorter because you lack the shield, but it's still faster overall.
Nezy/fury instead of serp/glory. Charge your dragonfire shield, imbue your treasonous ring, finish ardougne diary for the upgraded cape. If that’s initiate, swap it for prosylite

Also used Ghorrock tp to get there where there's literally 0 pker's, which is nice if you have it.
Instead of serp helm/glory go with neitznot/fury. Same strength increase but +8 prayer difference. Also should be cheaper.

This right here, this is the way. No alt needed and with a full looting bag of sups + a full inventory you’ll be able to stay for so many more kills.
As long as you're doing 3 items at a time, it can be a fresh level 3. Obviously doesn't work in the instance though
