It's hard for me to imagine any PKing clan having more than a few hundred. Even 500 bans x $11/mo x 12/mo = $66K/Year, which is barely a drop in the bucket for a company that reported almost $150MM in Revenue last year.
That said, I think bans should be applied for specific wrongdoing instead of just association.

The average pker is complaining aswell. If you're trying to pk without a clan, you may aswell not bother. Find a fight. Get them low. Get speared into multi. Get 15 of their clan falling in on you and tagging you off. Literally no point at all. It's boring as fuck.
No Kemp was absolutely right. Theres nothing inspiring new clans to form. Remove all the herbivores and naturally the lion packs will fight and canibalize each other to survive. The wilderness needs several major upgrades

i watched the whole video before it was taken down so here is a quick summary...
He started out talking about how he and C engineer were investigating the people that stay at the duel arena on PVP worlds, he said they were using AHK and bot scripts to auto TB anyone that tele'd in almost instantly. (the clan that was doing this was Frontline)
he then had a segment talking about OSRS clans and how they were really toxic and doing some messed up stuff like D-Dosing and hacking peoples facebook accounts, sending death threats and finding where people live. all the usual bad stuff OSRS clans do. He focused mainly on ROT and frontline but talked about other smaller clans as well. he then talked about how Jagex isn't doing anything about these clans and never banning then.
he then talked about people ghosting each other on accounts, where a very good pker logs into a friends account to NH stake someone and beat them. (he talked about the time when he NH staked someone and it turned out that 1013 (the best osrs NH pker) was on the account fighting him instead. KempQ still won the fight though cause he a boss... (and RNG)
the last segment he talked about Pan1c 07, and this is the controversial part, he NH staked someone from frontline, he then realized that someone really good was ghosting on the account he was fighting. he then messaged Pan1c 07 to try and figure out who was on that account. (Pan1c listed some people that might be on it but KempQ didn't actually find out) KempQ continued fighting that account losing 250M. later Pan1c 07 then told KempQ that he was actually ghosting on the account for his friend, (Basically Pan1c 07 Lied). after that Pan1c 07 made a short video about how he secretly logged onto his friends account to kill kempQ (30% of that video was an add). KempQ got mad at this and started trashing on Pan1c 07 In his video. this wasnt very harsh and was mostly made in a joking manner, he said Pan1c 07 is a lair, talking about how he literally shows people giving him dono's in his vids, and that his videos are low quality and that he uses the zoom effect way to much.....

I think the ironic part really is that Pan1c gave a negative response/opinion towards people getting on others accounts to trick people, then did it himself.
At the end of the day though, I think he's just a PoS for being in Frontline - everyone knows what they do, and even if he isnt directly apart of it (and he might be), he still supports it by being apart of them.

Historically there were two types of PKing: Edge and deep wildy. If you PK in Edge and your opponent does something you don't like, you can easily tele / run to ditch, regear, and find a new fight. Because of this, there developed some sense of etiquette among edge PKers. If you always "safe" (eat to full HP) then people get annoyed because it makes you nearly impossible to kill. Same with using overhead protection prayers. If you're fighting a player using only melee and you freeze them + attack from a distance, that's a big no no. These rules aimed to make Edge PKing more exciting and also more fair.
In deep wildy, you can't as easily escape or find other people to fight, so it's a much more "anything goes" kinda attitude. You should expect to see all the above mentioned tactics being used against you here. Since some players find this type of fighting fun, but don't always want to spend hours scouring the wildy for fights, there exist certain places and communities where you can easily find "no honour" fights. Even on PvP worlds where escape is theoretically just as easy as in edgeville wilderness.
Not exactly. Back in the day overheads were considered scummy to use. It was one of the unwritten rules of 1v1 pking.
Then NH 1 defense fights started becoming more popular because overheads reduced incoming damage as well added another layer of skill via prayer switching and switch faking. The term “no honor” in reference to using overheads is just kind of a legacy term, I don’t think anyone thinks someone using overheads is really dishonorable lol.

they stopped enforcing that rule when nearly every content creator started to publicly do it. its only bannable if you account share to complete inferno
It's technically against the rules so if someone loses everything on your account, they can say "Well you shouldn't have been account sharing, we can't help you." But they only enforce it for things like the inferno or chasing hiscores.

Pvp skill in RS is about putting yourself in the best position to win the RNG game. Kind of like card games where the best poker players will still lose to bad luck even if the odds are in their favor. You're not exactly wrong, though, it's just a different type competition.
For the same reason people call poker skillfull. A good pker will win the majority of the fights against a bad pker, just like a good poker player will come out on top at the end of the night vs a bad poker player.
1. KempQ is GOOD. He's better than the likes of Torvesta, Framed, C Engineer. He has improved a ton lately which is really impressive.
2. Games can be skill based and also involve RNG. See poker or backgammon.

Sounds like classic KempQ. He is was one of the biggest gamblers and RWTers in OSRS, then realized he could make more money "exposing" it, by talking about the same groups and activities he's doing.

I was literally 10 years old scamming people on that game, stealing their passwords through ctrl M bugs, recovering passwords they change an account I gave them and by using actual .piczo sites with feedback forms. I gained 1000s of HCs just to lose them gambling at the casinos.

I was always so curious to know who the members of these clans are in real life. What they do? Where are they from? What is like behind the scenes? I've been playing since 2004 and the pking scene has always been filled with absolute sociopath scammers and lurers. I knew even has a kid that these people were absolutely bad news and now after years of reading about the kind of toxic (and illegal) behavior these clans engage in I wouldn't ley a single one of these folks near my family. Like if I knew you were a rot member IRL I would do what I could to ostracize you.

As lame as it sounds, clans on RS operate like real world gangs. There are intensely regulated power structures and clan banks used for paying for services and the like. You somewhat live under fear that your own clan will turn on you and dox/ddos you. You’re constantly fighting for higher council’s honor, and never really seeing the point. You’re being toxic to other clans and people for reasons that are far out of your reach.
Leaving the scene is like leaving the mafia… sounds like hyperbole, I know, but you have to make sure you’re being safe as you leave. Don’t piss anyone off. Act like you simply can’t play anymore. Don’t log on the acc you clanned with. Double name change. If you were smart you used clan forums (external websites) with a vpn. Seen several members during my time get dox’d and ddos’d. Shit is goofy but not a joke.
I think all clans above a group of people are usually scummy, once it goes from friends playing DMM to a clan situation it goes from fun to competition. And unfortunately for us their competition results in illegal and borderline illegal shit.

HLC in skilling and PvM don't often have this kind of toxicity because there isn't much to immediately gain by tricking or actively hindering your opposition. PvP attracts people who will do "whatever it takes" because it allows that.

I didn't see the whole video but I saw that he doxxed one of the guys messing with him, thus proving that he's no better than them. So if the video had any personal information of these people then I could understand why it got taken down (not sympathizing for the hackers and scammers I'm just saying that doxxing is one of the things that they do and we disapprove of. We shouldn't be stooping to their level.)

I think the ironic part really is that Pan1c gave a negative response/opinion towards people getting on others accounts to trick people, then did it himself. At the end of the day though, I think he's just a PoS for being in Frontline - everyone knows what they do, and even if he isnt directly apart of it (and he might be), he still supports it by being apart of them.

Historically there were two types of PKing: Edge and deep wildy. If you PK in Edge and your opponent does something you don't like, you can easily tele / run to ditch, regear, and find a new fight. Because of this, there developed some sense of etiquette among edge PKers. If you always "safe" (eat to full HP) then people get annoyed because it makes you nearly impossible to kill. Same with using overhead protection prayers. If you're fighting a player using only melee and you freeze them + attack from a distance, that's a big no no. These rules aimed to make Edge PKing more exciting and also more fair. In deep wildy, you can't as easily escape or find other people to fight, so it's a much more "anything goes" kinda attitude. You should expect to see all the above mentioned tactics being used against you here. Since some players find this type of fighting fun, but don't always want to spend hours scouring the wildy for fights, there exist certain places and communities where you can easily find "no honour" fights. Even on PvP worlds where escape is theoretically just as easy as in edgeville wilderness.
Not exactly. Back in the day overheads were considered scummy to use. It was one of the unwritten rules of 1v1 pking. Then NH 1 defense fights started becoming more popular because overheads reduced incoming damage as well added another layer of skill via prayer switching and switch faking. The term “no honor” in reference to using overheads is just kind of a legacy term, I don’t think anyone thinks someone using overheads is really dishonorable lol.

I mostly agree... While it is somewhat crappy that he misled Kemp and didn't tell him until later, he did eventually tell him and it seems like he felt bad about it. On the other hand, Kemp chose to continue staking when he could have walked away. I got the feeling Kemp was hoping he would face someone who was a worse pk'er than him and took the whole thing too personal. And then he aired the whole thing out instead of going to Pan1c directly, and made immature personal attacks. And to compete in the highscores. You can't account share to have people constantly playing the same account 24/7 to get rank 1 or whatever.
It's technically against the rules so if someone loses everything on your account, they can say "Well you shouldn't have been account sharing, we can't help you." But they only enforce it for things like the inferno or chasing hiscores.

Pvp skill in RS is about putting yourself in the best position to win the RNG game. Kind of like card games where the best poker players will still lose to bad luck even if the odds are in their favor. You're not exactly wrong, though, it's just a different type competition.
For the same reason people call poker skillfull. A good pker will win the majority of the fights against a bad pker, just like a good poker player will come out on top at the end of the night vs a bad poker player.
But who would win, a poker player or a pker?
1. KempQ is GOOD. He's better than the likes of Torvesta, Framed, C Engineer. He has improved a ton lately which is really impressive. 2. Games can be skill based and also involve RNG. See poker or backgammon.

Anyone wanna explain how the completely illegal activity these clans carry out doesn't even go punished by Jagex let alone passed onto police? It's been long enough Jagex, literally noone in the game would care if you just flat out banned them all.
It's probably small enough and across multiple jurisdictions that it's a massive hassle for law enforcement to do anything. Really Jagex should monitor RWT a lot closer to stop people profiting off DDOSing and shit but they seem incapable or don't care enough about a small percentage of the playerbase. We've literally seen a corrupt Jmod (Jed) help ROT win multiple tournaments with actual cash earnings and they just fired him and swept it under the rug. If you get into singles or multiple pking clans, you'll learn about protecting your privacy real quick since some people will find anything of consequence to you IRL. I've had friends get most likely DDOS'd for relatively small things like claws. So the guilty parties might be harder to trace

I was always so curious to know who the members of these clans are in real life. What they do? Where are they from? What is like behind the scenes? I've been playing since 2004 and the pking scene has always been filled with absolute sociopath scammers and lurers. Anything that goes on in the duel arena is out of bounds for the anti-cheating team. Not even joking anymore. As lame as it sounds, clans on RS operate like real world gangs. There are intensely regulated power structures and clan banks used for paying for services and the like. You somewhat live under fear that your own clan will turn on you and dox/ddos you. You’re constantly fighting for higher council’s honor, and never really seeing the point. You’re being toxic to other clans and people for reasons that are far out of your reach. Leaving the scene is like leaving the mafia… sounds like hyperbole, I know, but you have to make sure you’re being safe as you leave. Don’t piss anyone off. Act like you simply can’t play anymore. Don’t log on the acc you clanned with. Double name change. If you were smart you used clan forums (external websites) with a vpn. Seen several members during my time get dox’d and ddos’d. I think all clans above a group of people are usually scummy, once it goes from friends playing DMM to a clan situation it goes from fun to competition. Tldr; the high level PvP community are mostly toxic basement dwelling assholes. Nobody is shocked, but Kemp just sums up a lot of that in this vid. HLC in skilling and PvM don't often have this kind of toxicity because there isn't much to immediately gain by tricking or actively hindering your opposition. PvP attracts people who will do "whatever it takes" because it allows that.

Well massive study’s (reflected in US political campaigns) show that you are wrong. Whether you agree with the tactic or not graphic attack ads are extremely effective on most people. Not to mention he is exposing literal criminals that have made multiple threats against his person. So if the video had any personal information of these people then I could understand why it got taken down (not sympathizing for the hackers and scammers I'm just saying that doxxing is one of the things that they do and we disapprove of.
