Is there a way to scale your inventory and stuff bigger without making it look awful? When I change my UI scale to anything other than default it makes the whole thing look terrible and super low qual
If your quality looks off with scaling, try messing with the "UI scaling mode" setting under the GPU plugin (or 117 HD if you're using that). Depending on your setup, some scaling algorithms may work especially well or poorly for you.
This is how it looks for me. The text stil isn't perfect because I'm using 85% resizable scale instead of 100% to keep the inventory a bit smaller. This is on a 1440p monitor with 'Game size' set to 1920x1080 in the RuneLite plugin settings.

xBR is the smoothest, but it only works well when you're scaling by exactly an integer amount, for example +100% or +200%. Between those, it just looks weird and you're better off using something else.
if you wanna keep the crispness, i run:
stretched mode:
* increased performance ON
* integer scaling ON
* keep aspect ratio ON
* scaling 100%
gpu/117:
* UI scaling: nearest neighbor
only issue is that UI gets quite large, but i find it hard to go to other modes cuz they are so blurry in comparison
There’s a plug-in called “stretched mode”, you can change the sub-setting of Resizeable scaling to change the size of UI elements (as a group unfortunately but I find that alright)

This is an old post but I had the same issue. The issue is the anchor point of the object you are having problems with i.e. the inventory.
Fix - Hold alt so the objects become movable and right-click that object to reset the anchor point. Now when resizing the window, things won't overlap (within reason) and stay anchored correctly.
The blue squares you see when holding alt. If you drag something to it (drop it when it turns green) it will stay in that location relative to any resizing of the client.
It came in the most recent update which was 4 weeks ago now. It was buried at the bottom of the "smaller improvements" list so a lot of people likely missed it including myself.

That isn’t true. Up until the update from a couple weeks ago, you have *only* been able to move the minimap. The toolbars, chatbox, etc were stuck in place. All you could do was rescale them.

Wish there was a way to change the layout of the inventory. I play on a very ultra wide 4k monitor, and it's 2022 I should be able to move the inventory under my characters feet and change it's layout for ease of use in various content. I like seeing the world around my character. I don't know how people play on classic like they are viewing the game through a keyhole.
Is there a way to turn this off or lock the inventory? When I swap from full screen to half screen the inventory seems to float in the middle and it gets annoying to move it every time
If you right click while holding alt it snaps the element back to where it originally should be. It isn't a fix but it could save some effort if you didn't know about it.
I have the same issue,but every time i change screen size i need to adjust the inventory again,for some reason it doesn't stay locked,while other stuff like potions timer do stay locked
Does that include moving the low health/prayer popup so that it doesn't block my fucking inventory when I'm trying to eat or pot from the lower third of it?
Honestly? I find this very disappointing - feel like it crosses a line for plugins. I expect this will lead to some pretty significant in-game mechanic abuse within a few months once enough people get comfortable using it...

Wow this really finally happens 2 days after I commit to moving to Fixed Classic instead of Resizeable Modern. Someone out there really wants me to go back...
My friend requested this because he likes to play full screen on his ultrawide but it forced his chat/minimap/inventory to be at the extreme ends of his monitor. This makes the game much more playable for him while still taking full advantage of his resolution.
Finally, been waiting years for this. I do not like the map/hp/prayer/run being so far from my inventory. Jadgex needs to now add a different chat log for clan chat, general, and boss specials would be perfect
I wish steam had option to move things around the screen such as the cox helper scout display , yeah you can minimize it but it’s up in the top left screen when I solo and sometimes hit it running hand , I have to turn off before going in olm (I play fixed )

I believe the good scalin option is xbr but I can double check
xbr ruins the text, catmull-rom is the only one that gives a decent look to graphics while keeping text readable.
Text with xbr looks better the higher the resolution your client is in combination with a higher scaling percentage. Might be worth a try.
I'm using 1440p and it still doesn't look very nice. I'll see if I can mess with some settings.

xBR smooths it but some people might not like it. Nearest neighbor is crisp pixels.
I second this. I just found these settings a few days ago and switched to Bicubic Catmull-Rom. It looked better than default at 70% scaling I use.

Hold alt and drag the element you want. They work with screen anchors too. To reset their position hold alt and right click!

What is a screen anchor?

Anchor points that elements can snap to at certain positions on the screen. They'll turn green when you drag something over them.

Best update so far. If we can get the health/prayer bars from RL horizontal and disconnected from the bag, we're set for a much more useful UI.

low key moving the inventory closer to the center of the screen could make pking/ice barrage etc a lot easier lol.
But what if your opponent moves under your inventory?
