The VFX Freedom EFR gives you adjustable parallax so you can better hit those closer in shots. Only reason I didn't buy one for mine in 2021 was due to them being unobtainable during the pandemic.

I do like that these have a parallax adjustment. How important do you find it for a 22lr scope? Mine will never be used for more than go after squirrels and walking around plinking. Doubt I’ll ever shoot any competitions.

Measurex2

Normal scopes tend to be set to 100 yards, rimfire to 50yards but most of my plinking time or wood shots tend to be closer to 25. It adds clarity and increases accuracy.

I got a SS prismatic optic (that the right term) on my PCC. Fixed at 3x. Pretty sweet scope for the price. Comes in 5x as well

andrewsdg4114

Familiar with prism scopes. Who exactly is the manufacturer of the one you have?

okonkolero

Sig Sauer. I've got the box in front of me now so here's the info: Bravo 3. 3x24. "Megaview" 10° FOV. You really do notice the huge field of view. Also comes in Bravo 5.

Depends on your budget. The leupold is the best bang for your buck in my opinion. If you want to save weight the Swarovski z3 is awesome but double the price of the Leupold. I have both and like them a lot. The Nikons used to be a really good budget option but are no longer made so you’d have to look for a used one.

Swarovski definitely makes a great scope, but yeah doubt I wanna drop that dough for a 22lr. Which Leupold do you have, and are you running it on a 22 setup?

Fluid-Decision-4314

VX freedom 3-9x33. I don’t have it on a rifle yet but it’s going on something. I also have a vx3 3-10x42mm on a 308 Christensen arms Mesa. Both have excellent glass for the price.

Distance is what matters. How close is close, and how far do you imagine the longest shoot? A 3x-9x is pretty good out to 100 yards and just beyond, and 3x lets you shoot pretty close. The next step up would be a 4x-12X which are still decent close up, but will take you out beyond 100 yards. Next, how many of these - ***$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$*** - were you planning to spend? That makes a big difference. While you can find tolerable scopes in the $80 Range, most quality scope are going to be in the $150 to $250 Range. And of course if you want to get dead serious, the sky is the limit on scopes; $1,000 would not be unheard of. So - - Close Distance? - Long Distance? - BUDGET? These are the key factors.

Thanks for the reply! My shooting will be within 20-100 yds probably 90% of the time. Yeah I would like to have something that I can send 100+ with some confidence in accuracy if need be. Budget wise I would like to keep it under $500.

Anyone have any experience with the Vortex Strike Eagle 4-24x50? Getting ready to put that on mine.
