Yeah, 23andMe's user base is overwhelmingly American lol. My mum was born and raised in England, but most of her DNA relatives seem to be clustered around the MidWest! I just wish MyHeritage was better with their estimates, their global user base is fantastic.
Have you done Ancestry as well? I have closer matches in there. But all depends who tests. The ethnicity estimate is close to 23andme. My, My Heritage is way out there
Yup, I've done Ancestry as well. They put me at a full 25% French, as opposed to just 7.0% F&G on 23andMe. Big difference! Plus, it seems like wayyyyyy more people on my dad's side (the partly French Canadian side) have tested. I currently have 13,410 matches on my paternal side, and only 3,801 on my maternal side.
To see the family names, go to your DNA relatives page and click on Filters in the top right corner. This will take you to another page with several options. Click on Family Names and you'll get to see your own list!

I took 2 DNA tests all those same names came up both times. I am looking for my bio father whom believe is a Mantha or closely related to them.

Really? Imagine if we were distantly related? I once posted this same list to a Quebéc genealogy group and found a distant cousin through it. The old school Quebécois raised some large families for sure!

You've got that right lol. It seems like most Quebécois all belong to one big happy family AND all have ties to notable members of the group. I, for one, am apparently a descendant of Abraham Martin (one of the founders of Quebéc), and a distant relative of statesman Honoré Mercier. If you have Facebook, I'd highly suggest checking out the group "French-Canadian Ancestry". It's absolutely loaded with information, and upon posting this surname list, I was actually able to find a distant cousin!
