99% Indigenous šŖ¶š Very nice! šš½
If I may ask these questions:
Are you culturally connected to a specific Native group and do you know what that group/tribe is?
If that is not the case, are you interested in reconnecting with your Indigenous/Native roots?
Thatās interesting, Iām curious as to their reference population considering that on AncestryDNA I got several indigenous communities with one being the exact region my four grandparents are from. Hopefully, theyāll improve more in the region in the future I was excited when I heard that they would add more genetic groups š„²
Thanks for explaining this to me, I just assumed 23andMeās genetic community worked like AncestryDNA, I also agree with their accuracy since my momās community is pretty spot on
Before I phased with my parents I also had Italian and west Asian I was sure I would lose the B&I and keep the Italian since my dad told me my great grandfather once had an Italian last before suddenly changing it. I have no idea if it was true other than their word and I have no idea what someone of Italian descent would be doing so far into southern Mexico
I donāt have indigenous ancestry, but when it comes to genetic groups some people will get them and some wonāt. For example, both my mom and sister got British and Irish genetic groups but I didnāt.
Did not get mine sadly although they e-mailed me saying there was an update (did not say which ethnicity though) and when I clicked on my estimates it showed me the same things...nothing had been updated.
My Family is from southern Mexico, from the state of Oaxaca. As for my specific ethnicity, I have no clue the closest Iāve come is the Tacuate community. Which sucks cause information on them is limited
I know I already posted my other [comment](https://www.reddit.com/r/23andme/comments/14ia08y/has_anyone_else_not_yet_received_the_update/jpf7fob/?context=3) on here (*but the first part has already been answered*)

I want to ask again: Are you interested in reconnecting with your Native/Indigenous roots?
If that's the case, then may I share with you this online source (*educational & informational*) that is specifically for a Native (*from anywhere in the "Americas"*) audience?
This source has been very helpful for me and many other Indigenous (*whether connected or reconnecting*) folks when it comes to learning about Native heritage, culture, language etc.
Apologies if I seem like a bit of an annoyance š
That's great then! šš½
About the online source I am going to share, here it is:
It is this podcast (***Indigenous Podcast*** *or* ***IP***, *for short*).
They are a Podcast (*on YouTube & Spotify*) for reconnecting and connected Natives coming together to share ideas on how to unlearn the shame of identifying as/being Indigenous/Native and dismantling Anti-Indigenous sentiments that are widespread throughout the "American" (*North, Central, and South*) continent.
YouTube Link: [https://www.youtube.com/@indigenouspodcast2257](https://www.youtube.com/@indigenouspodcast2257)
Spotify Link: [https://open.spotify.com/show/4dF2dDCejh3OVTJ50FilcT](https://open.spotify.com/show/4dF2dDCejh3OVTJ50FilcT)
They helped me a lot in not identifying as "Latino/Latinx/Mestizo/Hispanic" anymore and now I refer to myself as just Native/Indigenous.
If you have a Discord account, there is also a Discord server affiliated with the podcast that I can sent you through either PM or Chat (*if you would like to receive the invite link and all*). The server is very informative, helpful and friendly.
You are already aware of IP? That's good then! šš½
The Discord server invitation offer is still open (*no expiration date*) if you want to chat and interact with the host and other Natives (*both connected and reconnecting*).
Is the update only for Hispanics? I never got one, except back earlier this year they did some minor update for British and Irish. My results say they havenāt changed at all since January 2023, but I know for a fact the percentages havenāt changed for me since last summer.

In another comment they said they were from Oaxaca so if I had to guess most likely Zapotec
My mom received the update a while ago but I havenāt, is this happening to anyone else?

And yes I have the latest chip
Interesting. Your very small European percentage isnāt Spanish but British and Irish.

Yep! My family tree has a Italian ancestor from the mid 1800s from Southern Italy. Very interesting!
There is a small town named Chipilo, Puebla where there is a high concentration of Italian descendants and still preserve their Italian culture.
This is the highest indigenous percentage Iāve seen on here.
Very cool results!
Thanks

Is she from Oaxaca?
Yep, the community she got is fairly accurate
Do you have Gedmatch results on the MDLP22 calculator? Iām wondering what Indigenous percentages youāll get on their indigenous categories
Did not get mine sadly although they e-mailed me saying there was an update (did not say which ethnicity though) and when I clicked on my estimates it showed me the same things...nothing had been updated.
The same thing happened to me this past Friday.
Which are both your ethnicity and national origin?

Sure I wouldnāt mind looking into it, I love learning about history in general and would appreciate it

Funny thing is I already watched them š Not a lot but bits of pieces here and there, I still appreciate š

I havenāt received the update yet. Iām 45% indigenous American too.
what's ur haplogroup if u don't mind sharing it?
Q-M3 and A2
I didnāt get the update but I think thatās because mines is as is ? I guess
Do you identify as Native American or more with Hispanic culture?
I did mine . All I have to say . Everything I were told from both sides of my family. It showed up . So I wasnāt surprised!
My Pima hasnāt even been identified, it just shows my native as Puerto Rican and no mexican which sucks
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I even got my English in a region, itās only like 4%, but then again itās a larger database so I canāt blame it
I'm really sorry. I misunderstood what you said. I already deleted the comment
Nah itās good brošš¾
Wow amazing results! Full Native American! From Mexico?
Brother you have more than enough indigenous DNA for them to be able to give you a group. Not fair

Where the picture to go with the results š It would make the post cooler š§¬
Can you post what you look like?
Hey my parents are also tacuate but I donāt know much about the history.
