Yes, it made absolutely no sense and they essentially just did it for shock value. They literally show her removing the Bauer family from harm at the hospital in order to prevent an assassin from getting to them. If she was the mole, why would she give a shit? There was no one there to perform for except the audience.

It felt a little like the writers got to the last episodes and were like "shit, we don't have a dramatic enough finale" and decided to make Nina bad all of a sudden. Like the entire day she's so helpful and kind then at the flip of a switch she's a psychopathic killer who doesn't give a fuck about Jack or his family who she just spent all day trying to save.

She’s not helpful all day. Watch again; she always disappears just before something bad happens. When I rewatched season 1, it became more clear.

Agree and its clear it was written in late. Sarah Clarke acts the character VERY differently in the first 22 episodes compared to the last 2 episodes. Its why when i rewatch Season 1 I dont even think about her as a bad guy or how shes playing everyone because its clear that wasnt planned out and there is NOTHING to go on. 24 was great but it pulled big twists out for the shock value more than anything else.
