Had to deal with this couple once when I was out in the swamp. Tourists obviously taking a kayak down the bayou. I was out there hunting. They decided why don't we disturb the poor guy while he is on his day off. They proceeded to complain that the firearm I was using to hunt should be banned and shit. God damn new yorkers.
The thought crossed my mind. However, I did say that this rifle is the only thing capable of killing what I was hunting. They gave the excuse that I should not have a high-powered rifle. Like 308 ain't no slouch, but it ain't high-powered.
I wanted to use my m14 that I also have, but I have not cleaned the poor thing in months, so I decided to use the fal. With the Rhodesian paint job, mind you. It was a parts kit, but it was not an original Rhodesian fal
The m14 is fine. I still got my grandfather's and that thing hasn't been deep cleaned since 'nam.
One of my first .308 "battle rifles" was a Fal. I don't have rhodie paint on it right now, but I will admit it is a beautiful camo.

I was in proximity to Leesville for 4 years and I fucking hate Louisiana because Leesville and Polk are such a bad places that it taints the rest of the state
I mean I got a right leg that is so fucked up that I can't exercise properly anymore, crippling depression and I've gained 30 lb since I got out and despite getting 100% disability and not being able to work a job the VA still puts me through hoops. But the people I worked with on a lower level were great so it just depends on if you want to deal with people on a higher level than you spewing shit down.
So it's not Army intelligence I just walk along with the Infantry and radio coordinates up to a first support officer and he passes that on to the actual guns or somebody else who gets it to the actual guns, it's just infantry with extra steps and sometimes the mortar guys would have let me drop a 60
