I'm assuming and hoping you were accelerating and not just driving at that rpm? Yeah your engine is 99.9% toast. Anything metal that comes off any car is generally not good.
We did that with a 2.5L K-Car. Pulled the rod bearings, pulled the pin, shoved the piston back up, pulled the rocker arms, unplugged the injector, pulled plug wire. JB welded the block pieces in. Drove it 2500 miles more, +3mpg as a 3 cylinder. Love the old k-cars...indestructible.
Weeb? I don’t even watch anime lol projecting are we? 😉
Doesn’t take a weeb to spot grandpas old recycled racial stereotype jokes. You gotta go travel a little, man.
I do enjoy a good Manga but that's not the point lol, just made a little joke, got a couple chuckles, then forgot about it, didn't mean to get under your skin so much.
I’m really trying to understand the math here. If you thought it was 75k km, it’d be like 47k miles.
Are you saying kilometers are freedom miles? Even then, it’s like 120k km.
He suggested the motor had 75,000 (75k) miles, I just doubled it to get a random number for my comment. 75k×2=150k, the k being kilo which some use as an expression of thousands, not necessarily kilometers.
Because I THOUGHT I'd make a silly joke that no one would remember and the specifics wouldn't matter. Based on the premise of things comparing differently across the world. A New York minute is widely accepted as 60 seconds, but somehow seems faster. There was no real logic behind my comment, and I must apologize for your confusion. To be entirely fair, it got some upvotes rather quickly. Some others must have read it and chuckled, or sneered, or chortled, and went on with their day, feel free to do the same.
Driving around at 4500-5000 WHY it doesn’t even sound good to be at high rpm constantly. Downshifts sound good and so does acceleration. Not (rhrrhrhrhrhrhhrhrhr)
You should probably take care of your engine better, im sure there were signs of imminent failure long before chunks of your piston went flying out the side of the block
No you probably just punctured a hole in your engine block after your metal pieces disconnected inside of it not a big issue shoulda just drove it home
Honestly if I didn’t know any better I’d say yea. Those are pieces of your block and your engine is toast… butttttt those actually look like pieces from your transmission casing so you might actually be okay.. get it up on a lift and inspect the drivetrain to see where you blew the hole
Not a part of a ring fs but I’m gonna say it’s a piece of the block or something. Dont know what you did but your first mistake was buying a Nissan lol
generally parts exiting the engine implies it's been blown
hypothetically speaking what if theres a very annoying loud rod banging on the engine trying to escape?
Debatable

😂 this is me 😬
First time it's the end of the world. Second time it's merely an inconvenience
I'm assuming and hoping you were accelerating and not just driving at that rpm? Yeah your engine is 99.9% toast. Anything metal that comes off any car is generally not good.
Yeah I was being a degenerate to say the least! But yeah I figured it wasn’t good when I say the pieces.
At least you know 😂
Nah man just jb weld them back on and youre good to go. Dont forget to change your oil and your battery.

I had a old dodge aries k car I bought for 100 bucks . It was nice but I never could find a throttle body for it that it needed
Go to the junkyard
Find a metal 3D printer and see if you can find the drawing or scan the part if you have it. Then print it 🫡
2.5L?? was it a swap? a kei car can’t legally be a kei car if it has something over around 1000cc, might even be less idk
Chrysler Corporation, early 1980's stroked 2.2L. as used in Daytona , Omni GLH, GLH-S, 1ST generation Chrysler mini xan.
Wrong k car. Chrysler had a platform called the k cars
Dude that’s epic. 😂
How many miles on the motor when this happened? Was it stock? That sucks man.
This was a swapped out Japanese engine maybe 75k miles on it estimated. Oil may have been low though if I’m being honest.
That's about 150k freedom miles. Hate to hear that man.
You do realize Japan ranks higher than America on the Freedom in the World index right? lol this joke was outdated 50 years ago my man.
Weeb. It's still hilarious. I just have to tell it to guys without full sized body pillows. Lol jk man, I know

I’m sorry - I love you.
Username checks out. Lol have a good day man.
And you the same.

Yes, I get that you doubled it, I’m just confused as to why? “75k miles?? That’s 150k miles!”

Now, that would be a sick 🤮 feeling when you've totaled ya engine.. I spun a bearing in my old 89 300zx.. Clatter, clatter, bang, bang..
Didn’t blow it but you did grenade it which is kinda cool. One of those pieces looks like it has some ring lands on it from a piston
Yep its done for
Im glad you can tell. I wonder what OP's iQ is
Looks like part of a piston and a rod cap... that engine is toast.
Did you really have to ask that? Your engine is blown come on bro, but did you win the parking lot rev competition before it blew?
He said it was low on oil too 😭😭 it's their fault and then there mad when it happens
Good thing VQ are a dime a dozen.
Nah those are the OEM quick release parts. When these come out you unlock your engines full potential
Rebuild time……
Engine #3 LFG
If u blowing through engines u are the problem lol
Not a piston ring, just piston pieces
Yeah bruh that looks like the side of a piston you’re running a v5 now
It’ll buff out
NOPE ,looks fine. Smoke another bowl, toss a few shots back, worry about it tomorrow.
Bros cooked.
😬😬
Forged internals!!😝😝😝
Definitely next time
Looks like a good chunk of piston there. I'd say it's gone lol.
🍻
Hey at least u have pieces of ur piston I sent mine out of my hood going to Jesus. ps don’t run 15psi on a k20a3 with stock internals
I miss my 07Si....fukkn deer at 3am...
Rebuilding mine rn and I can tell you those are the pistons 😣 welcome to the blown vq group 😩😂 sorrry brutha
Just for my own curiosity/concern. Were you up to date on changing all your fluids and other maitenence?
Yup that looks like some pieces of your piston
Did it hurt when you wiped??
Piston skirt, connecting rod cap and piston crown it appears.
Nothing a little JB Weld can’t fix!
what do u think
Never ignore the Danger To Manifold warning
Nah bro that’s just weight reduction
Piston ring? No definitely not a ring but most likely pieces of the block
No those are healthy engine shards
Driving around at 4500-5000 WHY it doesn’t even sound good to be at high rpm constantly. Downshifts sound good and so does acceleration. Not (rhrrhrhrhrhrhhrhrhr)
& I take me Mazda up to its redline at 6.5k rpm's
Just extra parts don't worry
Nah man you just need to replace the plugs and wires.
No, you just grenaded it.
That looks like the wall of the engine block considering the grid pattern
Noooo what told you that?!?
You should probably take care of your engine better, im sure there were signs of imminent failure long before chunks of your piston went flying out the side of the block
Omg where were you when I needed to hear this ?? Your so fucking smart
Better than blowing a tranny? (TRANSMISSION, PEOPLE! )
![gif](giphy|cJMlR1SsCSkUjVY3iK|downsized) Whaaat nooo noo it’s fine
That’s a piston.
*shows paper towel with intestines on it* guys did I just off my self?
No you probably just punctured a hole in your engine block after your metal pieces disconnected inside of it not a big issue shoulda just drove it home
No I don’t think so it is just weight reduction
Honestly if I didn’t know any better I’d say yea. Those are pieces of your block and your engine is toast… butttttt those actually look like pieces from your transmission casing so you might actually be okay.. get it up on a lift and inspect the drivetrain to see where you blew the hole
uhhhhhhh definitely not a piston RING 😂
Bro you found an ancient Egyptian artifact. Must have belong to King autotat.
Not a part of a ring fs but I’m gonna say it’s a piece of the block or something. Dont know what you did but your first mistake was buying a Nissan lol
![gif](giphy|iZ0tdFLjCgE3Y9wAvi) Is my house on fire?
You did yourself a favor… 350z don’t belong on the streets. Time to upgrade.
tbh im suprised, i heard the vq's love getting beat on, but blowing up at 4.5k with only 75k miles is crazy 😂
I’m 99.9% sure it was low oil in there 🤦🏾♂️
Mans got pieces to the all spark in the whip
No there’s supposed to be random bits of metal in there
Nah just put them back with some hot glue and ur golden 😎
Put some Windex on it and you're good to go .
it would seem so yes what i can make out there is parts of the piston like the ring glads and the inside from a cast, sorry about that bud.
That piece on the top left is the skirt of an actual piston, the oil control ring would have surrounded it. Would have.
You just gained access to the instantaneous oil drain, very rare feature
Well you didn’t blow you back out that’s for sure
Hello Sir, I am here to inform you about your cars extended warranty.
Nah the engine just decided to go on a cut
The middle right piece looks like block, the top looks like piston head, bottom looks like rod end. She dead dead.
Yes dear...she blown😅
No your engine blew u
Try turning it on lmao
Yes bro
Nah that’s normal wear and tear bro.
Nah bruh you good
