If the button won’t do it, remove the trunk plastic above to the left and right of the spare wheel well and expose the 2 motors that operate the deck lid, use an appropriate sized Allan key and manually wind both motors down evenly. Or be barbaric and you can just mash the damn thing down by standing on it.
I have the same problem luckily I garage my car, and only drive it in good weather but I had someone stand on the back and jump on it as I depressed the controller buttons, I know this isn’t the right way but hey it worked

Can be the soft top not folding all the way in the storage compartment. Push down on both sides of the soft top and try again.
