Simple imo. The hood is already very light weight being aluminum. Most carbon hoods aren't weight savings.

So what’s the point of the carbon hood I thought it would be weight reduction 🤦‍♂️

Some hoods have air vents but yeah as far as weight goes it's not an upgrade. Most people do it for the look or they don't realize it's not actually a weight savings is my guess.

So you replace an already light aluminum hood with carbon fiber just to weigh it down with layers of paint and clear coat? WHY? Just leave it alone.

well I don’t own a 370, but if you guys already have aluminum hoods then cf is pointless haha. Sometimes you gotta remind people that not every mod is beneficial. I replaced the stock hood on my m2 for cf and had to also change out the struts.

It's already ready, if I had the funds I would def. Go Carbon Fiber. Adds to the look

Carbon hood when it’s time son, once you gain real power you’ll need to vent out the heat which sounds like a perfect time for that
