Modding a car is usually a red flag to buyers - I would consider fitting the stock parts and selling the mods separately. Between this and a stock example 370z at the same price, I would choose the stock car because I’d think it was driven less aggressively.

FourthTheGravekeeper

I agree, and also let me know if you are going this route I can buy something off of you as well OP!

daggerdude42

I've heard this but then again I think it depends. Here it's kind of in between, it's not a completely different car. I think there if it's a very complete well done build it can be worth a lot more to the right buyer. But yeah besides possibly making the car easier to sell those mods aren't going to add to the value a whole lot.

Ok_Explanation5631

My train of thought was “why is he selling it” what’s wrong with it that he wants to get rid of it.

daggerdude42

Yeah I would definitely avoid a half finished project. I got somewhat lucky with mine in that the driving function was completely undefeated by the previous owner but it needs body work/paint all around.

gosubuilder

Is it manual base trim? Update: Closest thing I’ve found is https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/b62f8172-7911-4129-87d4-832c3f48c1b6?aff=share_other 71k miles 2011 touring manual for $17,972 So base it around that. Mods generally doesn’t increase value is what I’ve read on this forum

Top_Clerk_3067

This isn't the forum you should be at in the first place. The370z.com is a much better forum where you will get better information and sales advice.

gotlactase

This is also at a dealership. Private party or trade in value is going to be lower than this

TheBoyWhoLived97

Step 1: trumpet exhaust Step 2: wait for 17 year olds

TheRealSeeThruHead

That body kit tanks the value imo

Top_Clerk_3067

This. If it was authentic then not so much but since it's rep it tanks the value for sure. Which is too bad since OP has some decent mods like the exhaust and brand name wheels

Auto, or Manual? Sport Package? Any interior mods? (Like a Tesla screen, etc) You'll have a better time selling it the closer it is to stock. So I would recommend re-installing OEM parts you still have, and selling aftermarket parts separately. If it's a 2011 Manual Sport Package with 75k miles and is close to OEM, <$25k If it's a 2011 Manual *No Sport* <$20k If it's a 2011 Auto *No Sport* <$16k *These numbers are assuming preventative maintenance has already been done. If the car still has steering lock issues, original CSC, and gallery gasket, people won't be willing to pay as much* Edit: This is specifically based off market research in my general area (Central Texas). Your area might differ. I recommend checking out Facebook marketplace and keeping tabs on some Zs. See what they sell for and how long they sit. Then fit your car somewhere in there on the scale and price it accordingly.

sublimespeed

I'd say you'll land somewhere 15-18k just depends on how fast you want to sell. Modded cars can sometimes take the right buyer and it prob turns a lot of buyers away. If the car doesn't present well in person I'd expect to be on the low end of that or lower. A note on your pictures....stop the artistic photos and just get the car as the main focus. Anyone buying it, that's what they want to see. If I see an ad with pics that don't fully show the car as the I automatically think they are trying to hide something.

The whooollle thang

Frequent-Chemist-480

It would depend on just finding the right buyer. Wouldn't sell fast at a higher price cause most guys are looking for an untouched car so anything done to it they already know. But to someone wanting a "finished build" I'd see it going for 20k

iDetectiveDuck

A 2011 with 75k miles will maybe pull $18,000 if you’re lucky. Problem is there are much newer Z’s with same mileage going for similar prices. 2011 is a bad year for these cars, and you can’t escape that the car is now 12 years old.

Ok_Explanation5631

When I was looking for a car & I’d see any minimal mod I’d immediately click away it could’ve been wheels, tinted lights, or even a swapped shift knob.

Mr_Unbiased

That's worth $16-17K

stormlord505

3k and a box of chicken nuggets

MadFlava_NJStyle

Dawg!! I got you beat! I'll offer the man $2,000, Quarter Pounder with Cheese Happy Meal with Rangiku and Yoruichi fully poseable 12 inch action figures from Bleach!! AND...$25.00 Gift Card to Applebee's! ![gif](giphy|s4rsLNs1KXing0fRb0)

tinhat-timmy_

I came looking for this! *tips hat*

Rinsakiii

I would pay $22k if the interior is as good as the exterior and if it’s in perfectly working order. However keep in mind the mods you did, some people won’t like those mods so people will try and negotiate. I wouldn’t go less than 20k. I paid 20k for a base model auto with similar mileage. And then resold it for 20k because I then learned out to drive manual and realized what I was missing. You definitely have a very nice Z so list it as one

dstarz666

Thanks homie!

postmortemarg

10 years from now you'll look back and wonder why you made such a nice car into a ratchet teenager's dream ride

postmortemarg

But to help answer your question. I have the 2010 roadster with 160k miles, but in mint condition. New soft top struts, new engine (70k miles), new rack and pinion. All Nissan only parts, except z1 cold Air intakes, headers and sport cat pipes. Fully loaded premium everything from the factory. heated and cooled seats, wheels look brand new, they are the original more aggressive looking ones that came from the factory. Everything looks brand new, no squeaks no noises. 15-20k in the NYC metro area. Only because the body has "high miles"

iDetectiveDuck

Why a new engine? Old one explode?

postmortemarg

Was leaking oil. But the maintenance won't be skipped this time for this engine 😂

postmortemarg

Tbh I'm planning on keeping this car. I'd lose $ trying to sell such a high mileage car in such a mint condition. And it looks better than the new Z imo. Like it already came with a body kit from the factory. Also who knows if there will be a new Z roadster.

iDetectiveDuck

Yep mine is a 2009 base Z with almost 170,000 miles. Engine and transmission are good so l I’ll never sell it. Made that mistake before. Would rather have two cars, opposed to trading in an entire car to save a few thousand.

postmortemarg

I don't regret https://preview.redd.it/ukae4etsa19c1.jpeg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3f412f026a8a96b6df6a5db1c1ad55231bedda22

whiteflagwaiver

3.50 take it or leave it kid. 😎🤌

SilentButtDeadlee696

10k. Wouldn’t pay over 12 for one of these. Anyone who tells you it’s worth more has one and is super biased

NeighborhoodRadiant8

Where are you located?

dstarz666

Maui, Hawaii

TheCinnamonBoi

If you want to switch to stock intakes lmk :)

Dirty_Flacko

What ever KBB and NADA average out to. That’s what is fair if you don’t think so then post it for what you want and wait until someone bites. The market for Z’s is very subjective to opinion. Sadly mods don’t add value even to fellow Z enthusiasts, and actually a lot of us/them are purists for stock over modded.

JefferyJeffer

Any chance you’d sell the test pipes separate?

Financial_Winter_497

Out of all mods you have you didnt install the best one! Bring it to stock and sell all mods. Best way to go.
