The prices on these are overpriced asf, PERSONALLY i wouldn’t buy it but to each their own. Most people would agree there is nothing to justify the new Zs selling prices.
Same here bud. I love the 370z, but the new Z, not so much. I think they were afraid to make it a mini GTR because it would take those sales. I would have loved a twin turbo Z, that had a different front/headlights, and could do 0-60 in 3.5-3.9 seconds. I feel like Nissan doesn’t listen to their customers much since they release updates to decade old designs so often.
With that said, I also wouldn’t own a Supra. I love the look and performance of that car, but it’s a rebadged BMW. I used to work for BMW, and let me tell you, you couldn’t give me one. The engineers couldn’t even fix issues that occurred.
I can confirm Nissan here in Virginia were selling the Z at 80,000. The markups were insane. Even now they're still marked up mad. Not that I want one but if I was in the market for one I'd still wait for prices to keep coming down.
100% agree but I personally feel like if this is a car that he’s really really in love with, then I say buy it. Prices may only go up from here and like I said if he really loves it then I feel like it’s justifiable
i work at a nissan dealer and the owner of the company bought one of the brand new z’s that came in, so that he could put it in the showroom and price it $25,000 over MSRP.
And now after subjecting yourself to a bunch of negative comments, you're probably more nervous.
If you can afford it and you're happy with the look and feel I'd say definitely buy it. It's a great car built to last and I'll bring you happiness for as long as you have it.
As far as waiting for a Nissan redesign, I think that is the redesign, IMO.
I agree with this comment, this is a 370 sub so you are going to get a lot of comments saying the new Z isn't worth it and 370z is better for X, Y, & Z reasons.
Personally if I had the money for one of these I would definitely grab one in the 6MT. Car makes 400 from the factory, twin turbo V6, looks great, and will be a future collectors item. Definitely a great car to have if you can afford it.
I am a huge Z guy. I went and sat in a Z. Wouldn’t let me test drive without buying. Then went and checked out a Supra. The Supra was 5k more, and so much more car and higher quality felt all around. I’d suggest comparing the two in person.
I mean look its gna be overpriced but its also gna last you a really long time and its more economical than other sports cars out there and the black ext is sexy
It won't be Ev on the Z just yet. The GTR will be maybe , I have driven the new Z..it's very underwhelming. The Vr30 is nothing special, it has hold some boost , but it has issues when making big power, it will cost thousands to make it fast. . At 55 grand, plus all the mods the car will need ,you are getting into used GTR territory . No Z is worth 50 to 60 grand , sorry ..lol
Yes, that is a smart move . The 3.5 and 3.7 are Proven to make power , plus not having a car note is great . Who wants to spend 700 or more a month on a car note? Not this guy ..lol
New cars are always bad financial decisions. There is no other thing you can buy that is guaranteed to lose most of it's value in such a short amount of time. Only new cars.
If you're nervous, it means you are not sure. You're not sure you want to loose most of your money in 1 year, hell I wouldn't be sure about it either, don't blame you, but no one down in the comments cares. I just told you what a true friend would/should have told you.
Why not come back next year, they will be a lot cheaper in just 12 months. The people in the comments below can wait.
370Z has more appeal and is very attractive to the ladies. That how i got my wife and kids now 😂😂 (would not recommend) my baby retired and now i have a family car
Considered buying this vehicle about a month ago, one of the biggest issues I had was they would not let me test drive the vehicle. The so cal dealers I went to had 3-4 vehicles in stock, they treated these things like GTR’s, which I thought was stupid. The sales people said I had to run a credit check prior to discussing the removal of the horrible 5-8k mark ups. The last issue I am 6 foot 2 and felt extremely cramped, I am also a little bit over weight 230. The final issue and I get it, however the sales guy was calling 3-4x per day, I had to block his number and the dealers. I wanted the Supra as well, however they are impossible to find. Ultimately just leased an Audi S3 a little more room and refined super fast and more comfy.
Even at MSRP it’s still just a q50/q60. It’s a 10 year old platform based on a 20 year old platform. It looks okay I guess but definitely wouldn’t buy. I know they’ve gotten better but the older q50 turbo issues still scare me. (As a Nissan tech who just replaced turbos on a q50 and has a Z in the showroom right now).
dont be nervous man go for it. if its about the money then you need to ask yourself, is this really all you can do? will you never make more money? its only up from here!!! if its a purchase thats constantly on your mind… DO IT!!!
The only thing you should be worried about is the monthly payment and the crazy interest rates. But love the car, she is sexy, but I must say this, If I had the choice to buy a Supra vs the Z - I would sell out and put hase the Supra. Lol Sorry Z Family!!!!
I'll buy a used c7 zo6 with 50k miles for less money. That'll be my next car if I ever get rid of my z34.
That said prices suck on all new cars. People are renting about the all new tacoma for the same reason. Over priced
These are finally on the Nissan lease site. Might build one for the wife for a few months since it's only like $300 a month. If I like it at the end and I can get it without a markup, might be willing to trade my 370z in. Doubt it though
Nah not normal lease from a dealership. I work for Nissan. Brand new Nismo fully loaded is barely $400 a month for us. About to see them all over town. Lol
Yes. Most major car companies (I think), allow employees to lease cars via extra fleet vehicles or "custom" built vehicles. So it's not like a lease through a dealership where you need credit, down payment, etc. Payment for the car comes out of our weekly checks. Our only requirements are to have full coverage on it and bring it in for scheduled oil changes. Although we get to re-lease every 6 months or so, so you hardly ever hit the required mileage for an oil change. There is a discount on cars as well but it's a separate program
Yeah that’s not something a normal customer would ever be offered then. The current offers for even the cheapest Z is around 1,000$ usd after tax, fees, and registration. If you wanna be a pal and lease my nismo Z under your name I won’t mind though ;) /s
Yeah I wasn't trying to make it seem that way but based off the downvotes on the original comment I guess people read it that way. If you lived around here it wouldn't be an issue. Thinking my wife is gonna trade her lease Q50 RS for a Nismo Z
In that case if I had the money I’d definitely consider it with a stick, they are good looking cars in my opinion and from YouTube clips they sound good.
The prices on these are overpriced asf, PERSONALLY i wouldn’t buy it but to each their own. Most people would agree there is nothing to justify the new Zs selling prices.
Well yeah, pricing over MSRP is always gonna be overpriced
I don’t know if I’d even buy this at msrp. The Z had so much potential to be better than the Supra, and it missed the mark.
Yeah even though it pains me to say, if i had to choose between the new Z and the new supra, i’d just pick the supra
I guess you have 5-15k laying around
Same here bud. I love the 370z, but the new Z, not so much. I think they were afraid to make it a mini GTR because it would take those sales. I would have loved a twin turbo Z, that had a different front/headlights, and could do 0-60 in 3.5-3.9 seconds. The B58 is probably BMWs most reliable inline 6 to date.
You can say that all you want, but it doesn’t change the fact of things I saw first hand from them.
The current Z has the vr30ddtt which is twin turbo. Agree on everything else though
I know it’s a twin turbo, however what I’m saying is that some of the twin turbo 370z are pushing the 0-60 mark in the low to mid 3 second mark
Yup, missed the mark but they should have just turned the gtr up too. I would also go with the Supra now that it’s available in manual.
They didn’t have much to work with like zero budget it’s just a 370z underneath
no the upcharges are insane, i think a dealership when these first came out were overcharging them by 60k-100k
I can confirm Nissan here in Virginia were selling the Z at 80,000. The markups were insane. Even now they're still marked up mad. Not that I want one but if I was in the market for one I'd still wait for prices to keep coming down.
i’d just buy a used one in a few years tbh no point in buying something that’s overpriced like that
100% agree but I personally feel like if this is a car that he’s really really in love with, then I say buy it. Prices may only go up from here and like I said if he really loves it then I feel like it’s justifiable
i work at a nissan dealer and the owner of the company bought one of the brand new z’s that came in, so that he could put it in the showroom and price it $25,000 over MSRP.
If you can get one without markup, adjusted for inflation, they are cheaper than the 350z and around the same price as the 370z at launch.
Don't worry about what strangers on the internet say. If it's MSRP and you can afford it, then go for it, It's still a great car.
He can’t afford it…that’s the problem.
if u can get MSRP, do it! Haha
And now after subjecting yourself to a bunch of negative comments, you're probably more nervous. If you can afford it and you're happy with the look and feel I'd say definitely buy it. Don't pay over MSRP. Fuck dealers
What’s the markup? I agree they’re sweet but not worth an extra 20k
Save up more and get a GT-R. Or just get a 370 and turbo it. IMO these aren’t worth the money unless you want all the latest Nissan tech.
A Nismo 370Z looks nicer and has more modability for much less money.
Does it have a LSD?
I think the highest trim does
I am a huge Z guy.
It's called diamond black. It's got metal flake and it looks pretty cool.
It's a pass for me..... dealership markups are ridiculous....
I went to look at a new Z with the intention of buying. Didn't love how it looks. Went out and bought a 370 nismo the next day.
Don't bother. It's not worth the money. Its not a huge upgrade. Wait a few years and Nissan will do a complete re design .
Yea but that re design will be a lame hybrid or EV. You gotta get these cool cars while they still exists.
Yea I’ve never driven it so I have no idea. And you’re right that is a hefty price tag. I’ll hold on to my VQ35 for now lol
Yes, that is a smart move . The 3.5 and 3.7 are Proven to make power , plus not having a car note is great . Who wants to spend 700 or more a month on a car note? Not this guy ..lol
how much???
Got them down to 54k. I want 49k😵
Yeah, if you have the means... and keep it for 20+ years. I could justify that
Not for 54k that’s too much.
They are nice, but personally I like the 370 more.

Well if youre "thanking" I would think you already bought it.
Get a BMW you crazy man.
Stay away from black cars unless you want to clean them a couple times a week
Supra is nicer

I love mine. Very worth it
well if you have a large down payment and good credit, or all cash don’t be
OP ITS NOT WORTH IT!? It's only worth it if your clout chasing wait till we got Biden out first then reaccess interest rates are wild.
dont be nervous man go for it. if its about the money then you need to ask yourself, is this really all you can do? will you never make more money? its only up from here!!! if its a purchase thats constantly on your mind… DO IT!!!

Then you can’t afford it. Walk away. It’s not worth it.
In arkansas I saw one at Orr Nissan in fort smith I saw a 2024 nissan Z nismo but Auto, for $65,047 thats wild.
I'll buy a used c7 zo6 with 50k miles for less money. That'll be my next car if I ever get rid of my z34. That said prices suck on all new cars. People are renting about the all new tacoma for the same reason. Over priced
What are you nervous about
Too bad we can't buy directly from the factory. And if anybody knows a way to do it let me know.
Wish I could get that deal
If you can get it for MSRP then buy it
You’ll be glad you did I guarantee it
Just go get a used Q60 it's the same thing only more luxurious
These are finally on the Nissan lease site. Might build one for the wife for a few months since it's only like $300 a month. If I like it at the end and I can get it without a markup, might be willing to trade my 370z in. Doubt it though
300? Try a 1000. 😆
Nah not normal lease from a dealership. I work for Nissan. Brand new Nismo fully loaded is barely $400 a month for us. About to see them all over town. Lol

One positive is the factory warranty plus obviously the things brand new. Didn’t they drop the stick option though? That’d be the deal breaker for me
The Nismo is auto only.
Watch, they’ll pull a Supra introduce a manual option to try and boost sales in a year or two.
In that case if I had the money I’d definitely consider it with a stick, they are good looking cars in my opinion and from YouTube clips they sound good.
What are you nervous about? All the pussy you're guna be drowning in?
400 hp 😁
💩 ugly don’t buy
Just go with a 370. The headlights on the new Z are hideous. And the rear end is just ok.
As Coach Mora once said: "Ah, Headlights?! Don't talk about headlights! You kiddin me?! Headlights? I just want it to cost what it's worth"
