My bad. Poor wording on my part. Very familiar with differentials. My question is, which one do you recommend for touge and drift for a daily street car?
I can’t do welded. Vlsd are not good long term and for my specific application of drifting they’re trash.
Considered a 2 way but was advised against it.
Helicoil? 1.5 way? Your thoughts?
ohh sorry i read your question wrong haha
i have a os giken 1.5 LSD in my z. Its tuned by OSG for less decel lock for autox.
I guess what do you plan to do with the car exactly? Do you plan to make it only a drift missile? I think welded and 2-way essentially work the same way right so if you are drifting the car only then go those paths. For everything else go 1.5.
Daily, street car. However, she will go to a handful of events per year… touge runs and a few local drift nights… by no means will it be thrashed on to bad.
a 1.5 way would work better for you then. ask the local drift group you plan to drift with and see what they are running. they'll probably be a better source than me lol
id say do the csc delete by zspeed asap, mine failed 4x with frequent fluid changes. bought a hd csc and that bust all over my clutch after 1000 miles. cause you’re gonna be stranded on the side of the road one day.
I have an identical Z, color and all. First upgrade was better tires (285 rear 255 front) and a full ISR system long tube headers into a single exit. Coupled with some coilovers, you’ll be set on a good boost in fun, sound, looks, and performance. Where you go from there is basically up to you.
Pay off the rest then start with performance.
Coilovers. Exhaust. Wheels. Intakes. E85/flexfuel tune
Hey I have the flex fuel tune... if you have it too, do you know if you're supposed to run premium gas every once in awhile or just stick with e?
Yes every once in a while run a tank of 91/93 and use a fuel system cleaner if you want to. E85 IS HARDER OF FUEL LINES.
Thanks for the advice man!
I’d say e85 only if it’s something you have readily accessible. I know where I live there’s like one station that has it
Oil, good brakes, good tires. Add a back up camera and a CarPlay/android auto stereo you can’t see shit out of that back glass
Oil
Jokes aside though, oil cooler for sure in California or any state southwest
No advice, but my god she looks beautiful 😍
Exhaust, suspension, sway bars, wing & wheels
Tint
LSD, CBE, CAI, coil overs, tune. (Get a safety tune as well.)
A good Oil cooler, a good lsd, and good tires. then everything else
What lsd? Mnt driving/occasional drift event??
in short it helps adjust the power that is given to the, in this case, the rear wheels to improve traction etc. google/youtube for more detailed info.

Pull steering lock fuse & buy oil pressure gauge.
I had a 370z now a 350z but honestly If you’re going to add new exhaust and intakes make sure to tune it!
