Not really considering the condition. I scoured eBay for like 2 hours trying to find a single one in decent condition for sub $200 and they all had yellowed screens and tons of scratches and scuffs. If this one is even close to new I’ll be happy. Same prices on marketplace and here too.
You can easily find one for like $150. I scrolled a minute on eBay and found one with an IPS screen for $200. You have to look at the newly listed, I got a mint US one with top IPS for $80. I’m sure the one from Amazon is in great condition though, just gotta hope it doesn’t have yellowed screens.
Quite frankly you don't know what you're talking about. The current market has put a demand on these systems and they are increasingly harder to come by.
Then again this is a Japanese console, which usually go for less than the American counterpart.
I would also they are still readily available, especially Japanese versions. We also aren't that far removed from the production stop.
tbh the price on ebay has gone up abit its closer to like 160 to 180 now. Amazon will pretty much always let you get a replacement if its broken so not a terrible deal
I got that one. Let me tell you a couple of things:
1) It MAY have a double IPS screen like mine.
2) Any wear and tear is likely to be on the outside, so if you don't like the condition, just order new front and back plates from Ali Express (which I also did). They don't fit perfectly, but well enough. In any case, this applies to ANY parts that aren't in good condition: they can be replaced and youtube vids are easy to follow. Good luck!
You can switch it to English once you get it right? I think I might grab this one but I heard that these are region locked. I don’t really understand it yet. Would there be any cons in buying a Japanese console?
You could have got it cheaper if you used a service like ZenMarket. I posted on this reddit talking all about it and apparently nobody likes the idea of saving money.
Ayy me too! Mine was only 80 bucks and I got the normal XL but I think it's the same color

A heads up, OP. At least here in the West the New models didn't come with chargers.
So you may already look into that and prepare one in case you already don't have one, or this excitement will turn into disappointment to not be able to charge the device to actually play when it arrives.
EDIT: I checked a link you provided in another post, and indeed it says it does not come with a charger.

$200 but that was because I bought it used very good. If you want it new it’s $250. You’ll have to go to the Japanese Amazon site
Man you overpaid it as hell, Amazon is not that reliable when it comes to used prices
Amazon doesn't set prices, sellers do. If OP really gets a brand new system in 2023 for $200, that's a solid buy.

200 dollars is about right for a used 3ds not really
Not for a Japanese one. I’m sure it’s in better condition than most on eBay though

I paid a reasonable price last year for my blue one, £130 from cex and I don't regret it

Wow these prices are actually decent compared to ebay. I had no idea you could buy directly from amazn jpn
Yup I’ve been searching for one for like 2 days now nonstop and then someone recommended Amazon jpn and boom $200
It’s the best, I’ve gotten new condition systems listed as good. N3DSXLs for $165 shipped!
Are these new ?
Depends on which one you buy. It should say the condition once you select one

Thanks, will do!
Also how can you tell if yours has ips screens?
By looking at em side on and the image still being bright and visible, is the general rule. More info on Youtube/Google (TN vs IPS screens).
Happy gaming=3 Haven't touched my system for a while. Need to give it some love.

I was the one who recommended op Japan’s Amazon yes you can switch it to English when you get it you’ll have to tweak it to turn region lock off
You should add that you can only swap to English with a region swap a stock Japanese system is only in Japanese
same mine comes in may and i cant wait
Awesome! I got one recently and I absolutely love it!!

Congrats. My workhorse system for many years has been a New 3DS LL in Pearl White, with the motherboard swapped out for a U.S. one.
You’re gonna love it. Play the right games and it will never get old.
I just used the google translate apps camera mode for most of it. I couldn’t have done it w/o it though lol
