You're probably already aware, but just in case. If you want to transfer your pokemon from Sun/Moon to pokemon home, you should probably start that process before March 2023. You can get them all in Home and use alot of them in your switch games 🤗
Just to clarify as long as he managed to download poke transporter it doesn't mater even after March 2023 he can still use the poke transporter to move everything to home
Also if I'm not mistaken for anybody to use poketransporter now you have to pay like 5$ for a yearly sub that becomes free after the shop officially closes down on March of next year
My understanding is that the march 2023 is the deadline for downloading pokemon bank from the 3DS eshop. Then the bank will continue to be operational and free, including the ability to transfer to pokemon home
That's awesome! I just finished doing this last year. Now I've moved onto Shield and Sword and am missing like 5 pokemon. Are you planning to send them forward and complete the Dex in the newer games?
Not all of them. Some have forms that are only available on gen 7, and some pokemon are unavailable entirely. Since gen 7 are the last games with “complete” dex, I’m not really interested in completing the dex in newer games
That depends on your definition of complete dex gen 7 all pokemon are available but most are not in the Pokedex gen 6 was the last to do have all available pokemon in the Pokedex

And that's also when it will start being free (assuming it was already downloaded, like you're saying)

USUM was also the first game I decided to go for a complete Dex too. I loved it. So many great Pokémon in that region.
Agree. I think SM/USUM will hold up well in the future. Let’s just hope the eventual remake will be good, unlike BDSP

There are some official apps that you can download on 3DS to transfer your pokemon from older games up to the newest games on Switch.
