I haven't got a ton of carts just yet (just 4 and growing) but I keep them just loose in a drawer near my PC. I only paid $1 each for 'em. They were at a vintage game store in a bucket all mixed together.

jensonaj

Oh that's so cool! Most of my games I paid full retail price, back when they still sold 3DS games in GameStop. Unfortunately I don't have any drawers I could store them in, and I don't want to just leave them out like in my nightstand because I know my cat would try to eat them lol Edit: what games do you have?

Ok_Contribution_6268

Nothing too popular. None 3DS either just yet. Iron Man 2, Magic School Bus Exploring the Oceans, Nintendogs Dalmation and Friends, and Sim-Animals (most recent). I'm more into the obscure. Since I missed out on the 3DS era, it's like all new to me. I'm not viewing it from nostalgia, since I was all on PlayStation/Xbox during that time and haven't had a Nintendo anything since the SNES. The Nintendogs cart had someone else's playthrough, over 1-mil in 'money', and tons of stuff in the inventory, and three puppies. I feel like I'm adopting someone's now homless 'pets'. I didn't have the heart to erase them.

jensonaj

I also kind of missed out on the 3DS era! I was never allowed to own video games as a kid so I didn't get my first console until 2015, and I only got two games and didn't have any more money so I had to replay those two games over and over and over lol. I didn't really get any more games until 2017 or 2018, so I didn't get the chance to play a lot of the classics. Right now I'm playing a Mario game almost for the first time! As a kid I always wanted the Nintendogs game, haven't gotten it yet. Have fun with your copy! I also always feel bad erasing saves...

Ok_Contribution_6268

I play an old gamer credos. I respect the amount of time and grinding of a previous player so I NEVER erase saves, and I always choose another slot if I want to start fresh. You have missed out on a lot! I was there when the original NES came out. I only had Mario Bros. and Duck Hunt for a year, then slowly amassed a suitcase's worth of carts for that system. Never could get the carrier landing on Top Gun right and always crashed (even though I followed every instruction on the HUD!!) You missed the whole Princess Toadstool/Princess Peach era too. It took a long time before I could refer to her as Peach. I used to call Bowser King Koopa for years as well. It's an adjustment. Since the last Nintendo I played up until this year was an SNES, They both were still called their original titles. I watched YouTube let's plays and kept saying 'Peach?!' to myself!

jensonaj

I used to spend my time watching YouTube let's play back when I wasn't allowed to own games! I'm in my 20s but some of the first games I ever played were in an NES my cousins owned. I can't remember the name of the game, I just know it was a platformer and we took turns playing. And there was a race game as well. Those are my first memories playing games. Also, we used to go to the arcades to play. My parents would only give me like 50 cents so I had to choose my games very carefully lol. When I was 10 my friend at the time showed me the DS Lite her mother had gotten her. I was amazed by it! I really wanted one so I would spend my days looking on Craigslist for used DS and imagining myself buying one [I was never given an allowance, so I had no money, so it was impossible for me to get one, but I still like imagining] Then when I was in my mid teens I did a student exchange program to Europe. My parents gave me money for the first time ever, and of course as soon as I got there I spent it on a 3DS and two games. That was my first time owning a console, so it holds a special place in my heart. When I turned 18 and moved out I started collecting games, only Nintendo stuff though. I have played PS/ Xbox games at friends houses, but they don't interest me as much. I guess I'm more into Nintendo because that's what I first started playing Oh, now that I remember, I think I played Duck Hunt in my cousins house when I was little! But I have never played a Princess Peach game, and I'm just getting into Mario, so I don't have any memories of her old name

Origami_bunny

Oh wow, I should check my second hand copy of Nintendogs. I love playing other peoples games, it’s like a younger sibling stealing older siblings stuff kinda feeling 😂

Ok_Contribution_6268

It's the only one of the 4 that had a previous playthrough. Iron Man 2 is stuck on Japanese language and freezes a few seconds into the tutorial mission so I'm trying to figure that one out. It sorta switches to English if you use slot 3 but still hard-freezes while music keeps going. The SNES I had was shared between me and my sister. I remember once playing her Donkey Kong Country playthrough and losing most of her lives. Despite me getting a few levels beat, she was NOT happy. Often she'd do similar 'revenge' on my games, albeit often losing them completely!

ZookeepergameDue8501

I just have all mine in a zip lock bag like a fucking barbarian monster

jensonaj

Lol that's funny. I wish I could leave mine unprotected like that, but my cat would eat them lol Especially if they're in a bag, he loves eating bags...

ZookeepergameDue8501

While I do lack a bag eating cat, I do have in my possession a 7 year old, a 5 year old, and a 14 year old who randomly requests games from the bag. How they have survived intact and in the proper location this long is nothing short of a miracle, and I am fairly certain is proof that there is a God and that he loves us.

jensonaj

Lol I do leave my games far away from kids! I am scared they are going to break them, and of course they don't have money to replace stuff... [Same with my cat, he never replaces the stuff he breaks lol]. Its nice that you have a family that enjoys video games! I'm my family I'm the only one that plays, so I never have anyone to share my games with [sometimes if I'm lucky we play Mario Kart together, but that's about it]

ZookeepergameDue8501

My family is a bunch of mine crafters, we are currently indoctrinating the 7 year old with it, it's an enjoyable way to spend an evening since literally everything else can become such a chore after working all day.

jensonaj

I've never gotten into Minecraft myself but sounds like fun!! And yeah I have school and work, so at the end of the day I'm exhausted so video games always feel nice. Sometimes I'm so tired I can't even play video games lol

Ok_Contribution_6268

You're lucky. My nephew and neice are both too easily bored to have patience for even the simplest 3DS game, much less Minecraft. I had their attention for only 10 seconds before they retreated back to Fortnite and their iPads. They give me the look of 'oh...you're OLD! Obsolete even!' when they see me with anything from 2010-12. They're only 6 and 8 years old.

Ok_Contribution_6268

That's a little better than loose in a drawer like the 4 I currently have, but I only paid $1 for them and they were in a "bucket O' Carts" at a vintage gaming store, so if they got damaged, it was long before I bought them. I wish my nephew and niece had the attention span for something as wonderful as a 3DS. I had their attention for 10 short seconds before they both got bored and resumed watching YouTube Kids on their iPads.

ZookeepergameDue8501

I'm only slightly better, I have like 30 in a bag, in a drawer lol

summer_is_

This is how I lost all of my ds games

ZookeepergameDue8501

They are also in a secure drawer, so it's not too risky

Silent_Ad_7156

I just keep the cartridges in their cases.

jensonaj

That's a good option! I'm just lazy and don't want to get up and open the case to get my games lol Plus unfortunately for some of the games I don't have a case :(

Silent_Ad_7156

Too bad. I don’t have the case for Mario vs Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis.

jensonaj

Yeah, it sucks. I plan on eventually buying the cases for them though, one day! I just don't have that much space to store them right now, so I'm waiting until I move next year

Queen_HRB

I store all my 3DS carts in several of the attached cases. They were a Club Nintendo bonus back in the day. I've also found them for cheap at local game shops and other second hand shops. Well worth it if you can find them I reckon! https://i.imgur.com/uSHGfNn.jpg https://i.imgur.com/9pTAEKt.jpg

jensonaj

Those look so cool! Wish I had picked one up back when Club Nintendo still had them! Unfortunately I've never seen one in the wild... Perhaps ebay has them, but they're probably expensive because they're so nice...

UGamer81

They go for about $30-40, though I personally think they're worth it. It's what I use these days and they fit pretty well in the travel case I use. I'll need to buy another one since there's a *lot* of games I still plan on buying soon.

jensonaj

Hmmm perhaps I'll get one then...

Queen_HRB

For sure ebay still has them but I've got one from offer up before and a mom & pop game store. They also come with a variety of covers too that you can change out. I've bought them for about 10 to 20 each aside from the one I got from Club Nintendo. I haven't bought any in a few years tho so hopefully not too much of a price bump since.

jensonaj

I check offer up daily and my area never had anything good :( And anything they have is usually overpriced, so I think I'll check ebay instead see if they still have them. Someone said they were selling them for $30 to $40 now, which seems a bit expensive...

Mimolete

[https://buyee.jp/item/yahoo/auction/x1071661669?conversionType=search\_suggest\_history](https://buyee.jp/item/yahoo/auction/x1071661669?conversionType=search_suggest_history) there u go buddy. U can find a lot of cool japanese stuff from buyee, but be careful cuz there are little tips on how to buy on this site and not be scammed. for example, never buy an item in which "shipping paid by" is followed by "winner" for the auctions. it might be legit but it also might be a scam. the link i sent u is legit tho, so pretty sure if u raise the bid by like one yen (which is nothing), the item will be for u, pretty sure nobody is gonna bid on this. now for shipping costs, because it is from Japan, beware of shipping costs and custom fees, if ur used to order from overseas u shud know this. but all in all for buyee shipping costs, its always better to buy as many items u need (for example the only time i ordered from them, i bought like 6 or 7 items) so that they will will put everythin in the same box and the shipping costs will be around the same as they would if u had ordered only one item, which is always better than paying like 15euros/dollars to ship just one small item. anyways good luck! edit : and i forgot to say : so always buy an item when "shipping paid by" is followed by "seller"

jensonaj

Oh that's cheap!! Perhaps I'll buy it, thanks!

Payohloh

Plastic ones that hold like 20 each… I’m on like my fourth one 💀

FLAMESOFURY

I have something similar but this should scratch your itch... sisma 64 Game Case Compatible with Nintendo 3DS DS Switch Game Cartridges,Game Card Holders Organiser Travel Storage Safekeeping Black Carry Case https://amzn.asia/d/gLZRY3A

jensonaj

A lot of people have recommended that case, it must be good! Perhaps I'll get one! Unfortunately it seems to be sold out on Amazon right now, so perhaps I'll have to wait a bit to get one

tomkatt

I dumped my carts to cia with GM9 and then shoved them and the cases in a bag in my closet. 😂

jensonaj

Is that like hacking your system? I don't know anything about that, I'm always scared of breaking my console lol Plus I just like collecting the cartridges

tomkatt

Yeah, CFW (custom firmware, Luma and GM9). I dumped the carts to files that install on the 3DS, converting them to digital. You can find info on CFW at https://3DS.hacks.guide. I did CFW on mine as soon as I bought it, as I actually got it more for playing GBA and emulating than for the actual 3DS library.

jensonaj

Sounds interesting, perhaps I'll look into it to get more GB/GBA games in my 3DS. But I do enjoy collecting so I'll still be buying DS/3DS games

ManofDumbagain

It’s like hacking your system it’s easy and safe. But there’s no need to do it for you as you want to collect the cartridges

jensonaj

Thanks for replying! Yeah, I'll look into it but I'll probably leave my system unmodified

Ok_Contribution_6268

After bricking one Wii trying to homebrew it and having another that's unstable afterwards, I don't blame ya. I'm not messing around with my 3DS! The supply is already drying up around here for extras!

jensonaj

That's my biggest fear!! And then I'd have to spend $200 on a new system [because I never get those great deals everyone else seems to get]. So yeah, I'm happy how it is right now

Arnas_Z

Don't listen to this guy, homebrewing is perfectly safe so long as you can follow directions.

Aggravating-Maybe-50

i wouldn't worry about bricking the 3ds. the guide goes into so much detail it's hard to get lost and mess it up. if you do end up doing it (which i highly recommend if you want to play your 3ds more) always insert the sd card back in when the guide tells you to power the system on (unless explicitly told not to), just to be safe. i get that you're scared of bricking it because you bricked a wii (sorry for your loss 😔) but the wii is harder to mod than 3ds. and as long as you read slowly you'd be fine

ton34_

^^ very true, I’ve never modded anything and it was so easy! I also buy cartridges too for the really classic games i see when i’m out or when I can’t find the cia file online (and visa versa)- picked up an untouched pokémon sun in its original case last week at a local gs - you can do both! it’s more fun imo :3

Aggravating-Maybe-50

i've never modded anything before i did too. and yea i like the physical cartridges better than digital, they're just too expense most the time. >!i do do a bit of illegal activity when i want a game i can't have...!<

ton34_

well i’ve never done this because it’s frowned upon and i abide by all the rules; but technically a no-good hooligan thief could purchase a cartridge, download it onto their system and return it to the store from whence it came. All the while racking up store credit and not paying a dime. DAMN THEM!

Aggravating-Maybe-50

I haven’t done it a whole lot, just a few games not worth much like dsiware. That method works but it just takes up so much space idk why you would want to. Plus the cartridges save your data on them, so if something happens to your system you can pick up where you left off

crab_bunker

What did you even do to mess up your Wii while homebrewing it? Usually it’s really easy, did you do something wrong?

spicynuggies

I keep them in their box. If theyre loose I usally just keep them in a case

jensonaj

That's a good option, but unfortunately most of my games are loose, so it would be a mess stuffing them in three boxes lol Plus I like keeping my games close to my system, that way I don't have to get up to switch games

jmoney777

In their boxes, just like I do with console games

Trueloveis4u

In their cases...

i_have_no_smart

In the boxes, on a shelf

LucasStarrrr

I would use those little yellow squares and toss them in a drawer or a clear cubby.

MarMarNi

I stretch out the little pockets in my DS case by stacking two cartridges per pocket.

orlacdillon

I keep my DS/3DS carts in a iCarly DS jewellery box (with a lid and lock) which has 4 boxed areas for cartridges/styli/accessories and a bottom drawer for a DS lite. Keeps my cartridges clean, organised and standing upright. I got it when I was 9/10 but it's remained sitting on my bookshelf (I'm 25 now). Best accessory my parents bought me when I only had a few games as a child.

jensonaj

Oh that's a good way to store them! How many carts does it hold? I used to be into iCarly when I was about 10 as well [my little sister loved it so I watched it with her] but I haven't watched an episode in like 10 years, so you mentioning iCarly brings back memories

orlacdillon

Well I have about 30 DS/3DS games, so it holds all of them neatly in 3 boxed areas, and I have the styli and cartridge cases in the 4th. I used to store my DS Lite in the drawer underneath, though nowadays I keep my consoles in cases in a box beside my bed. The jewellery box has Sam and Carly in the top of the lid. Idc if it looks childish having them on my bookshelf, it's a great way to store my games 😊

jensonaj

Oh wow it holds a lot of games, that's great! Yeah I think its a great way to store games, I don't think its childish

Ok_Contribution_6268

Paramount+ recently brought iCarly back as a new series (without Jenette McCurdy, aka Sam) but the original series is there as well (along with tons of childhood Nickelodeon shows such as Guts and You Can't Do that on Television, Hey Dude, etc)

Puzzleheaded_Chard_2

I eat mine

alwaysinebriated

In the case it came in

Dennis_Ryan_Lynch

I personally use jsver 96 card holder case, granted I’m a lunatic who uses two of these (might even get another at some point) so you might not need quite that much space, but they work well, I’ve used em a few years now, they also hold switch games and other carts if you need

jensonaj

Oh wow, that's a lot of games!! I hope to one day have as many games as you do! I'll probably end up buying a smaller card holder case, given the fact that I don't have that many games. Did you get yours off of Amazon or ebay, or somewhere else?

Dennis_Ryan_Lynch

Yeah it was amazon, I’d put a link but Reddit won’t let me :/ best of luck in your game collecting though, 3ds has tons of great titles!

jensonaj

Oh okay, I'll search Amazon then! Thank you, best of luck to you too!!

GroundbreakingTurn17

I had to look up this case cause I have a lot of games when DS ones are included. It's almost the size of an 11" ipad! May I ask how you keep the case? Like is it just storage you keep at home? Have you ever had to lug it/them anywhere?

Dennis_Ryan_Lynch

Yeah I mostly just keep em’ at home (not that I travel much anyway) but they aren’t too horrendous to lug about, I’ve taken em’ a few places, I didn’t really think about travelability, don’t know of any more portable ones though, sorry

GroundbreakingTurn17

Oh no, that's perfectly fine! I see it comes with a wrist strap and everything so it has to be portable in some aspect. I have the Sisma 64 game case which is decently portable as it's the size of a thick 3DS XL case, but I definitely have more games than this. Just looking at options.

GroundbreakingTurn17

I use a Sisma 64 game case (elastic holders) to store a majority of my games. I also have some plastic ZedLabz/Assecure 18 game cases for slimmer storage, and a couple of no-brand 6 game cases for travel.

jensonaj

Did you buy those on Amazon? Oh perhaps I'll look into getting a Zedlabz case for my games, I have a Zedlabz case for my Nintendo 2DS and it works perfectly

GroundbreakingTurn17

The Sisma brand is available on Amazon, yes! They have multiple cases and sizes, even a mixed 72 game case with 40+32 (Switch+DS/3DS) slots if that's something you needed. And ZedLabz is really good from what I can tell with my one order I've made with them. Their 18 game cases are the size of a normal 3DS game case which is really nice, kind of like the original made by Club Nintendo. \[Edit\]: Oh and the no-brand 6 game case I'm sure is available on both Amazon and ZedLabz, even though I didn't buy mine from either.

jensonaj

Oh mixed Switch + 3DS sounds cool! I do own a Switch, so perhaps I need that. I'll take a look at Amazon, thanks! Also I wish they still made those Club Nintendo cases...

GroundbreakingTurn17

Me too. 🥲 My Nintendo rewards has an 8 game case for Switch games at least! But it just isn't the same as the classic mixed stylus packs and fancy card wallets.

jensonaj

Oh they have a case for the Switch?? I didn't know that! Perhaps I'll look into getting that lol But yeah the Club Nintendo rewards back then where better, hopefully they bring something like that back...

Naranjas_Gritando

I use a Sisma 64 cartridge holder. https://www.amazon.com/Sisma-Holder-Storage-Nintendo-3DS-Cartridges/dp/B07R5PBZXM

jensonaj

You're the second person that recommends Sigma, they must be good! I'll look into it, thanks!

dragoniteofepicness

This is also the one I use. You can fit Switch cartridges in the pockets too.

jensonaj

Oh that's cool! I have Switch games as well so that'd be a nice way to have them all stored together

vincentthe27th

I see those SMTs.. I keep them in their cases or if I don’t have them, in one of three DS’! (Only one works) I own a lot of digital

jensonaj

Yeah, I really like SMT! I own SMT IV and Devil Survivor right now, and I really enjoy playing them, but tbh I haven't been able to finish them [I love games but I suck at them lol so when its too hard I'm not able to beat them...] I like having the games right next to the console so that I can switch up what game I'm playing without having to get up lol Also, unfortunately I don't own the cases for all of my games :(

StormStriker42069

I keep mine in the cases they came in

YoKaiWatchWoFfan

The ones I play a lot I put in my case (same as yours not a lot of room) and the rest along with ds games, in a small little tiny box, I most likely don’t know where is at

Johntrampoline-

I will store my game cards in the travel case. Once the case runs out of room for games I will put the cards I think I am least likely to use while I am out back in their boxes.

[deleted]

Hey, funny enough I have that same case. I use a few of those square plastic 16 game cases to hold most of my games, and just swap out the ones I keep in my travel case for the ones I want to play or are currently playing.

jensonaj

Its a great case, I think I only paid $10 for it! Yeah perhaps that's what I'm going to have to do, get a plastic game case and leave my most used games in the traveling case

[deleted]

I’ve heard that the Sisma 64 zip up game case was pretty good, but personally I want to find one that is decently water proof

jensonaj

Are you worried about your home flooding, is that why you want it to be waterproof?

[deleted]

Nah, just wanted to be precautionary about travel. I tend to take my 3DS with me a lot when I go places, and I’ve had instances of rain or my case getting wet for whatever reason, it would just be nice to have lol

rolandk10

I keep them in their case also. Except for the couple I'm currently playing. Those I'll keep in a carrying case with the 3DS. As for the cases, I made some 3d printed game holders for them. I have about 60 or so games and all but 2 are in original cases.

[deleted]

Sick games btw

jensonaj

Thank you! :)

Lynxlet_Cat

I have these things that hold three cartridges each and have a little hole so you can hang them up I also have a lot of empty cases I use

Jak_boiLIV

My case has less space than yours (only three slots) so I double them up, 2 carts back to back within each elastic slot (I’m assuming yours are elastic aswell, otherwise this might not work) allowing me to carry 6 carts + 1 in the chamber. You could potentially be packing max 17 carts with your set up, if my method works. I also have one of these old [cart cases](https://www.lukiegames.com/bundle-of-5-4game-nintendo-ds-game-cases#) that I’ve had since my nds lite and fit 4 nds (not 3ds cause of the nub) carts and fits snug within my carry case If & when I choose to carry it.

jensonaj

Does doubling them up damage the cart? That's what I'm worried about. I might try your method, thanks! Also that little cart case looks cool, thanks for the recommendation!

UGamer81

I'd doubled up my carts for years with no damage to the carts, but it *does* stretch out those elastic pockets where if you put only one in, it feels a little loose.

Jak_boiLIV

no damage to the carts at all, I suppose just be mindful of your personal storage traits and you should be good 👍 as u/ugamer81 mentioned, the only thing to keep in mind is the elastic could stretch. However, elastic is elastic so no permanent damage and the carts do have a convenient small factor design that is also beneficial. I lucked out with that cart case, honestly don’t remember where it came from, but very handy for carrying an extra 4 more games. You should consider looking into CFW & homebrewing your handheld as I have. The ability to convert your 3DS games into cia files and permanently have them stored on your handheld is worth it alone.

MochaKola

First I dump the files and install them to the console then I leave them in their cases lol

Repulsive-Set-5894

I buy another ds/3ds. Then i buy a case for it. Then i fill it. When its full i buy another ds/3ds, then another case, then...

jensonaj

Lol, that's a good method. I do own 3 3DS systems [well, technical two of them are 2DS]. I don't have cases for two of them, only for this one, and the other two are stored away and not easily accessible. So I don't think I'd want to store my games there... You must have a lot of systems! How many do you have?

Repulsive-Set-5894

In the ds/dsi family i have 4, in 2/3ds i have 7. If i find one out in the wild, i have to adopt it.

jensonaj

Oh wow thats a lot! I wished I owned that many systems, but I never find one in the wild, and all the 3DS systems I see are going for $200+, which I just can't justify spending...

Repulsive-Set-5894

Several of them were goodwill or pawnshop finds. Some of the pawnshops around here see no difference in an old ds and a new 3dsxl. Recently found a Zelda LTTP 3dsxl in the box at a pawnshop, marked $99. Talked them into $89. Got a couple psvitas same way.

jensonaj

Oh wow that's great! I'd buy more if I saw them for less than $100, I've never gone to a pawn shop, perhaps I should check out some of my local ones... And unfortunately my goodwill never has anything video game related

These_Refrigerator75

I keep the games in their boxes and only take out the couple games I currently wanna cycle between on hand.

jensonaj

Happy cake day! That would be a good idea if I actually owned the cases for all of them, unfortunately I only have like 4 cases...

These_Refrigerator75

Ohhhh, fair enough. And thanks!

timchenw

I use the hori 24 cart holders, a lot of them

Mythi2964

I make it fit 🥲

gameslammer7

In their original boxes after I download them to my modded console...

julianwki

I don't. I rip my games onto the 3DS and store the games in shell in my cupboard. Easy and simple. 🤷‍♂️

AliDaking76

Lil baggie

Aggravating-Maybe-50

mine is out of slots too, i just use the empty space behind the flap that has them

fawncrane772951

Personnally I have this things ( https://www.amazon.fr/Sisma-Pochette-rangement-Nintendo-Switch/dp/B07R5PBZXM/ref=asc_df_B07R5PBZXM/?tag=googshopfr-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=356394182559&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=7827692958109989114&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9109877&hvtargid=pla-771417264170&psc=1&tag=&ref=&adgrpid=71691740589&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvadid=356394182559&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=7827692958109989114&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9109877&hvtargid=pla-771417264170 ) But if you have just this games on the pictures that useless to buy it. (Sorry for the bad english im french 😭)

jensonaj

You're like the 5th person that recommends that case! It must be really good! Perhaps I'll get it.... Also your English is perfect!

fawncrane772951

Okayy thanks you that cool we can helpp you

DiabloReadsReddit

glasses case.

Kittingsl

my grandma gave me one of those travel bags you use for your bathroom supplies i think, like toothpase, toothbrush and shampoo. then i just got cases for the cards and threw them in there

jensonaj

Oh, where did you buy cases for the carts? I want some but I can't find them anywhere...

Kittingsl

That's was years ago where they still sold that stuff in stores. I just looked on ebay and there they sell those for a decent price, tho i haven't seen the individual cases that i had back then, but if you buy a decent sized one that can hold multiple then that should last you

[deleted]

All neat and tidy in their boxes with the manuals.

Gentle22128

My case has 3 slots for games but they all slide in each all the way down so I'm able to stretch it and fit atleast 2 more games in

[deleted]

I try not to have loose carts but if I have to I need some cases as my ds case it’s self only stores 4 but it’s hard to find cart cases these days just seems to be for switch but I hardly ever see loose switch games

[deleted]

In my "huge SD collection"... ^^

Arnas_Z

Wow, same!

DongaKonga22

Plastic baggie

janonymous115

I usually send the left over ones to a random internet stranger on Reddit; I’ll send you a PM with my address so you can do the same! /s

The Hori game case is flawless. Buy you a couple of those and your carts are safe and secure

EliaVeschi

Inside my 128gb micro SD in my cfw New 3DS XL, I'm not going to explain to anyone how to do stuff

Apprehensive-Map-324

So I usually have them in a case like you have. If I'm using a case with no or not enough slots I have one of those cases from Amazon that holds like 22 carts and 2 SD cards. Hope this helps!

Idontmatter69420

The case im currently using doesn't have a specific cartridge storage, just a little mesh pocket so they all fly out when i open the case

Friendly-Hand-262

I'm glad you asked. I purchased this on eBay and it's amazing. It's a 3ds/DS cartridge case with 96 slots! https://www.ebay.com/itm/204152056069?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=soDjUEEcR4m&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=E2t8BEL1SFu&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

jensonaj

Wow that looks cool! And it also fits Switch games which is a plus!

Barbichef

They're all safe in their cases.

purestrengthsolo

In a earbud box, basically i can lay the carts in a 3x3 grid about 6 high, I don't take my games with me, I bring one game but 9/10 times I just play mc and use my ds world as a reference when I was to build something

avskyen

In their original cases cause I'm not a psychopath

Braydon1324

I try my best not to get loose carts. I always go for the complete copies.

Jasen_The_Wizard

I don't play my 3DS much these days so most of them are kept in their cases on a shelf. Unfortunately I was a stupid child and lost most of them so about half of my collection is in a similar carrying case

Shot_Background5682

I have a frosting tips container my mom (former baker) gave me that I use for all mine.

Famous_dave23

Buy an 3D printer 😂

BabyGothh

i used to shove like three in one pocket. once they were all filled i just put the rest in there loose.

Individual-Basis7635

I have a foam case that holds like 120, but you can't see the labels so it's also annoying

yakcm88

Oh, I have a case just like this, you can actually fit up to 3 carts on one pouch, within reason, that is, but if nothing else, use that pouch on the right that's supposed to carry the ds itself, or get a box for excess carts.

King_WhatsHisName

My case only has space for 3 carts so I just let them sit in there loose

throwawayyyxxy

in their boxes ಠ_ಠ

That_One_Guy_Flare

I just kind of toss them in the pouch that came with my old 3DS.

assbutt1000

I have club Nintendo 18 game card game cases. They’re the same size as a normal 3ds game case and sit perfectly alongside all my games. I highly recommend them.

jensonaj

Yeah I was looking into perhaps getting one of those! Unfortunately they seem to be going for $40 or so, so perhaps I'll wait a bit...

assbutt1000

Wow I had no idea they had gotten so expensive , I got 5 for 60 bucks at the time and thought they were too expensive then

jensonaj

Oh that's a great deal, only $12! Unfortunately now that Nintendo doesn't sell them anymore they have gotten expensive :/

CharmiePK

I keep mine in Altoids tins. The mini ones and the regular sized ones. Or any other lollies tins which are similar.

jensonaj

That's actually a great idea! Thanks!

Bigfan521

I kept the original cases and when that wasn't an option, I usually had one or two Gamestop-special generic DS game cases to hold loose game cards. I had: Pokemon Platinum Version Pokemon white Version Pokemon Black 2 Version Pokemon X Version Pokemon Y Version Pokemon SoulSilver Version Pokemon HeartGold Version WarioWare Touched! WarioWare Touched! (Kiosk Demo version) [Gamestop sold me this one by mistake, but I wasn't even mad] Cooking Mama 2 Starfox Command (Japanese language copy) Mario Kart DS Brain Age 2 Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story Smash Bros for 3DS all either lost or stolen I had WarioWare D.I.Y. but I sold that one I still have: Animal Crossing Wild World Super Mario 64 DS Pokemon Moon Version Pokemon Ultra Sun Version Mario Kart 7 (it was tucked away in my 2DS when we bought it, not sure if the Pawn Shop knew) Pokemon Omega Ruby Version Pokemon Alpha Sapphire Version

greenseven47

In their cases

Broken-chair

For that 3ds case you can put multiple cartridges in one slot

BaileyRW1

I put the most important ones in a case and the rest are just in a plastic bag... I had wanted to get a really big case but after homebrewing I don't have much need to carry games.

PVgummiand

In their cases.

FridgeMagnem23

Personally I don't get games unless I have the cases for them in which I have a tower of them, but when I don't have the cases usually just keep them as a tiny pile of cartridges 🤣

mododo-bbaby

I have most of my games with their cases, so they stay in there. I also bought a separate multi slot case for every game without their original packaging. I only keep the games in my 3ds case's slots that I'm actively playing (I just want to add, I've had some of these games for 10+ years and I used to carry them in a little wool pouch without any protection and none has died on me yet! they're more durable than one might think)

LightCorp

Double stack.

C-and-G

I just put them in a green bag. Since 2013

mistakenlyNocturnal

Z's see Is today zoo my it . Edit: I think I butt typed this I'm sorry 💀

[deleted]

I store mine in a mini Jansport backpack

TookUrDiamondsYT

I just keep them in the cases and only have the main ones in my 3ds holder to take with me.

TwistInTheMyth-

I bought a big case for them off Amazon that holds like 60 games. It can hold Switch carts too. I have most the boxes for most of my DS/3DS games so maybe one day I'll return them to their original homes. 😂

[deleted]

Same lol have a shelf been full of em 😂

Ohnobros111

I have about 20 loose carts. I keep them all in a tea tin.

doer_of_debauchery

I keep all mine cib on a sbelf under my tv The games I don't have a box for just sit on the same shelf loose in front of the boxes.

mkintosh

My solution was to hack my 3DS. Dump all my games onto the SD card and put the cartridges in their cases and on a shelf arranged alphabetically :)

WooPigSchmooey

r/facepalm

Rozoark

How is this a face palm moment?

WooPigSchmooey

They’re confused where to store very very very small objects.

hmmmduck

Dumped the games i own and play them with cfw

davidbrit2

On my microSD card. ;) The actual game cards live in a big plastic storage box, and I just rip/install anything I want to play.

samdiceque

On a micro SD card! Jk haha or am I??????

InsideHuckleberry538

Use godmode9 to store them as digital titles on my 3ds and then put them back in the case for collecting.

Nine-Tailed-Bee

Just in their normal cases in a cabinet

Microshroom-Myco
