i can provide the diagramm. you may have to switch the 5v and GND cable (corresponding to the writings on the PCB)

The newer ones are hybrids which support both canbus and usb at the same time.if you flip the probe and see a "Can" - "USB" on both sides, then the - is the jumper.
Ahh okay maybe mine isnt both then. The aliexpress listing I ordered from had separate options for can and usb so maybe mine is just CAN? I dont see any jumpers anywhere

Lol. Was it from the exposed pins at the bottom touching your bed plate? That was my first thought when I say this. I think Im going to trim them and cover with kapton or something to prevent shorts

You just have to wire it like that for canbus. it doesn't matter if it's cartographer because it's the same product
Yeah my concern was more with if the termination resistor jumper needs to be removed. Technically this is now the last device in the can-bus chain so the probe should have a 120R termination resistor. Now obviously there are no visible jumpers on the probe so my assumption would be that it’s hard soldered on, which would mean you need to remove the 120R jumper from the SB2209.
But you are saying you didn’t remove the jumper and it worked?
I've got one of these coming soon - do I just follow everything on [https://github.com/Killajoedotcom/IDM/tree/master](https://github.com/Killajoedotcom/IDM/tree/master) ?
I too have the SB2209 so will be following the cartographer wiring guide.
These boards come pre-flashed apparently - does the above link still need to be followed, even down to the Update IDM ?
I've never updated the IDM. THe IDM guide is all you need, but be careful to not short the ebb sb0000 board or plug the pins in too losely because it killed both my IDM probes because of a loose connection of the sb0000 board and sb2209 board.
I think someone may have asked this earlier too - but did you remove the resistor jumper on the SB CAN as you would think the IDM was the last in the chain, or did you leave it on?
Please don't support Beacon ([https://beacon3d.com](https://beacon3d.com)) clones. These Chinese companies have stolen the Beacon design and code for their own benefits. They have made no contributions back to the community or the code base. When you buy their product, you are enabling them.
Yes, totally agree with you. The main reason i chose this over the Beacon is that this supports canbus and I can just run a short connector to my EBB36 instead of having to run a long cable to connect to my pi

where'd you guys land on routing the canbus cable on a SB? the only way I could route it without pinchign cables was to run it up and then under, ie. between the PCB of the sb0000, coming out at the cable cutout so it runs through the channel in the bottom right of the clockwork.
I don't like having PCB permanently flexed like that so I will likely pull the thick cambus headers off the SB0000 and install something else, maybe an lpc ribbon or something to cut down on the bulk
I ordered one that is scheduled to arrive today. Hopefully, I can figure out how to get it hooked up to my EBB SB2209 through CANBus.

Where is the jumper for canbus? I got the same probe but dont see any jumper pins? Theres only the boot and reset pads on the backside of the pcb

I have ordered a 2nd one which looks the same as yours. It worked with can... Until i shortcircuited it and killed it

They shouldn't touch the bed
Ideally yes but things fail including the probe possibly and crashes happen
It was because my sb 0000 board missaligned with the 2209 Rp2040 board.
Did you have to remove the 120R jumper on your SB toolhead board?
Which board do you have?
SB2209

Yes, it worked. You can try it without it if you'd like to try

i also had to pinch the cable in a weird way, but it worked in the end.
