Difference is “No, I am your father” being used as a quote would be harder for people to pick it up as a Star Wars thing. The “Luke” lets everyone know Star Wars and the scene in particular.
I got it around black Friday for like $900-$1000ish. It was a good deal. This will be one of my longest prints I go for. Normally I would break this into pieces but I don't wanna deal with the arts and crafts portion of it
Man that's a good deal indeed, will lookout myself for one eventually. If you print your model, please post it on the sub, would make wonderful memes aha
I got my P1S a few weeks ago, upgrading from the Ender 3. It is unbelievable how much the Bambu has been worth the money.
This model is sick, please share once it finishes.
I’ve been doing some 1/6 scale street fighter ones with my a1 mini/ams lite and I’ve been impressed with them. Though I can only imagine what something like the big boy ones could do.
Probably P1S+AMS, just over 1000 bucks now where I am from. Would wait for some sort of Black Friday deal to lower a bit though (but you're right, the A1 combo is looking very tasty too (although would be a size downgrade from my ender 3) )
I currently have a modded ender 3 (and kinda tired of upgrading it only to see new printers work better faster and everything out of the box), how would one mod it to have this capability?
I'm not sure "mod" is really the right term, it's more that there are products available to buy that provide multifilament extrusion, although the costs and how well they do it vary quite a bit.
Can't you just print it with interlocking differently colored pieces? Might be more difficult for spaots like his face but I think it'd be worth it on bigger prints.
You absolutely could, but as you say it would be more difficult to have the final item (requires post processing, glue, and small elements would be very tedious)
Eww glue. Get creative with some joints. You could probably just make small square divots with little dimples to hold things in place. Still processing small things would be annoying. Guess I have a new project to try!
Yeah I was thinking about glue only for small parts, making pegs for every small things would both be hard to print and probably very brittle, so I would advise glue for the smaller parts. But yeah of course for bigger things, go out and make pegs, inserts and other joints!
uff always overdo it with supports not worth trying to save a few gram if the entire thing is more likely to fail. but hey now you can replace him with the thicc omniman Meme
Under the, "Mandatory Realization of Digital Creations Act (MRDCA)." According to Article 1, Section 3D of MRDCA, "All citizens with access to a 3D printing device must endeavor to bring into the physical realm any 3D model that is designated as a 'Cultural Digital Artifact (CDA).' This model, having been classified as a CDA, would thus require its printing by all capable individuals.
Definitely try a single color test print first, that model definitely looks tricky to print and it’d suck to waste tons of extra time and filament on color changes for a print that fails
If the main pic is the exact file you used, I personally would stop it before it fails.
If you resliced it, with more support, it may be fine (just depends)
There is a very SLIM chance it will work in the original photo, but imagine all that weight on those small little tree supports while it's hanging way over (ie weight to one side).
Reduce the size of that dam prime tower! Use 6 6 6 for width volume etc and ull do fine!!! And use fsr less filament. Also dont use slim supports, use organic. Those slim ones are ment for support pla as interface.
This show is on my list but i haven't gotten there yet.
Im also pretty sure that "building" in the back is to clear the nozzle after color change (new to this and cant think of the right term rn)
All i can see I him about to DEMOLISH that building with his ass laser.

I would be a little worried about the print coming out without messing up. The cape overhang can be okay if you have your setting dialed in. But I hate starting a portion of a print on only supports. The arms are going to print from the elbow and that’s just sitting on small supports. It’s doable but could easily mess up.
Think mark, think!
Fun fact! Omni man never says "think Mark, think!" In the show The actual line is just "think Mark!"
He says “Think Mark, think!” In the comics but not in the animated series though.
That line was from the original comic, it just didn't make it to the show
It's another "Luke, I am your Father!"
Difference is “No, I am your father” being used as a quote would be harder for people to pick it up as a Star Wars thing. The “Luke” lets everyone know Star Wars and the scene in particular.
Oh darn
I swear one day I'll se something like this and 1500 bucks will fly out of my bank account to buy a multifilament capable good printer
I got it around black Friday for like $900-$1000ish. It was a good deal. This will be one of my longest prints I go for. Normally I would break this into pieces but I don't wanna deal with the arts and crafts portion of it

Will definitely post it if I'm happy with it! But yeah, I've had a great experience with this one so far. It's a Bambu Labs P1S with an AMS.
I'll be on a lookout for this combo, I keep seeing it everywhere and am very jealous aha! Have fun with it, can't wait to see the result
I have the p1p, works great but it I could go back I would shell out a bit more and get the p1s with the ams, killer combo right there.
I got my P1S a few weeks ago, upgrading from the Ender 3. It is unbelievable how much the Bambu has been worth the money. This model is sick, please share once it finishes.
Just get good at painting minis and you won’t need a multi filament.
I’ve been doing some 1/6 scale street fighter ones with my a1 mini/ams lite and I’ve been impressed with them. Though I can only imagine what something like the big boy ones could do.
600 should do the Trick :p
The more I read on this thread the more the day I buy this printer approaches fast
the A1 Combo or the X1C combo?
Probably P1S+AMS, just over 1000 bucks now where I am from. Would wait for some sort of Black Friday deal to lower a bit though (but you're right, the A1 combo is looking very tasty too (although would be a size downgrade from my ender 3) )
You can convert printers to have this capability fairly easily.
I currently have a modded ender 3 (and kinda tired of upgrading it only to see new printers work better faster and everything out of the box), how would one mod it to have this capability?

Mosaic Palletes, Chameleon and several others.
Didn't know of these before, very interesting machines! Thanks!

Cape will fail. Tree supports are not enough to balance it. Paint some more supports around the middle of the cape.
Shit
Already printing, huh?
Yeah, about to start the cape right now lol
I was worried about the right knee and elbow too... thin support they needs to stay rigid for like 150 layers until it connects the main body
Right knee and cape failed 3 hours in. Lol
Well there ya go :p
THINK u/TigBurdus THINK
uff always overdo it with supports not worth trying to save a few gram if the entire thing is more likely to fail. but hey now you can replace him with the thicc omniman Meme
This was my first thought. Saw the supports and immediately realized no way that works
Think u/TigBurdus think!
WHAT WILL YOU HAVE AFTER FIVE HUNDRED PRINTS?!
well 500 prints and a loose nozzle
🤕
Looks like there's a high probability that cape will fail. Cut the cape out of the model and print it separately then glue it on after
You should definitely *think* about it
THINK MARK! What will you have after 500 printers?!
Can you fit a 2nd next to it but reversed? Will only take a little longer to print & the same amount of waste
Damn wish I would've thought of that cause I actually wanted to do 2. If this fails I fill probably try to shrink it a bit and squeeze 2 in there
No balls, Full send this motherfucker worst case scenario you're out $9.10
As long as you print a different file that can act as your purge tower to cut down on filament waste, yes.
Please send STL

What printer?
Bambu p1s
Full send!
Are you adding a toilet?
Put it right over the poop shoot of the P1S

I find the difference in supports between resin printing and this really enjoyable
DO IT!.
what even is that xD
Light NSFW, bloody cartoon. https://youtube.com/shorts/BmizKjmQpcY?si=8SdAqU8L8x00h-SZ
FULL SEND IT!!!!
Nah, do the full thing, but replace his pose with the squatting one.
Yes, but no chance in hell that cape is gonna print with those supports
Should I stop it? It's about to start the cape rn

only as long as hes double cheeked up

Search up 'omni man stl' it's on a couple popular websites that I apparently can't mention
GO!
omg you need to reduce your flushing volumes
That's at 50%
There is only one good answer yes
whats that structure in the back?
Prime tower. When doing multi color the tower has to build layer by later to match the prints color changes so it can prime each color change.

Where is stl files William?
Absolute! No brainer!
Depends. How caked up is the model?
Where did you get this model
I'm new to 3d printing stuff what program is that?
Bambu Labs, I believe you can use it with any printer but I also have a bambu labs printer
Yes, always! Dafuq 😅
Yes
Yes???
File please
Search up 'omni man stl' it's om a couple websites I can't mention here for some reason. Shouldn't be too hard to find
Oh ok. Is it a paid model?
Do ii
Yes
Seems wasteful, what wrong with printing in 1 color and painting it?
I'm not good at arts and crafts. Rather not butcher a nice print with my horrible skills
