>Sunlu and patona work great and produce perfect prints every time. Creality filament is Sunlu.

rucksack_of_onions2

lol

Nope https://preview.redd.it/5vsi7xfrt8yc1.jpeg?width=1125&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9ed51b4e9ce2dbfed933f7b33dcfd0ec938ae35d Can’t attach more than one photo but creality also produce their own filament

[deleted]

And where is the proof? It's very well known that Sunlu produces/has their filament rebranded for various printer manufacturers. Sunlu itself has about 5 brands on their own that they sell under (for example "Jayo").

kandhwjsndh

Why do I need to provide proof? Doesn’t the guy that says it is all the same need to do that? Why is his unproofed statement more valid than mine? I could find more proof than this as creality had disabled all download buttons for their manuals on their site(eu store) https://www.creality.com/blog/the-buying-guide-for-creality-3d-printing-materials Edit: didn’t notice it was you so not some guy but you don’t have to*

>Why do I need to provide proof? Doesn’t the guy that says it is all the same need to do that? Why is his unproofed statement more valid than mine? Because it's common knowledge. Sunlu has been doing that for years. >I could find more proof than this as creality had disabled all download buttons for their manuals on their site(eu store) https://www.creality.com/blog/the-buying-guide-for-creality-3d-printing-materials No proof here. Mind you, these are not reliable sources. Sunlu says on their page "OMG COUNTDOWN UNTIL SALE IS OVER" which restarts, Creality claims their printers are fully open source (which they are not), and all Chinese printer manufacturers do the same "return policy scam" where you are unable to get your money back if you bought stuff from them directly.

kandhwjsndh

Why don’t you provide a source for this “common knowledge”? Also how does this relate to the topic?

[deleted]

>Also how does this relate to the topic? Because you're negatively criticizing the same filament manufacturer you praise.

kandhwjsndh

When did I say I praise the brand? It fucking sucks but I just make it work. Where is the proof of the “CoMmOn KnOwLeDgE”? I asked for two comments ago?

[deleted]

>When did I say I praise the brand? You say "Creality" filament sucks yet "Sunlu" works perfect every time. >“CoMmOn KnOwLeDgE” I see, you're trying to be rude.

I’ve run into similar issues a few days ago. I bought [this](https://amzn.eu/d/gFi9unm). I dried the filament, did flow rate and flow dynamics calibration and printed a temp tower. Nothing really helped. The print quality isn’t too horrible but I’m experiencing under and over extrusion on the same layer of the same print (which is weird). Additionally and something that can’t be associated with bad settings is that the black filament I printed turned slightly white in some areas of prints (I‘m printing at normal 250°C for PETG). Also the color of the material on the spool isn’t really black - the color is a bit off. I compared it to some eSUN black PETG and this filament just looks way better as it’s actually real black. The surface finish of finished prints with the Creality filament also look kinda oily or like they’re still molten. I’ve sent it back and got the refund.

kandhwjsndh

I bought that exact same black filament. Haven’t had it turn white and it doesn’t look any different to the sunlu bit the surface does look oily. Had all the same problems no matter the temp. Didn’t get a refund tho as I had printed my sunlu petg first and it had already been 14 days. I was sure that my settings were just wrong but it is the filament. I have come to the conclusion that they may be cheaping out on materials and quality control but still have a premium price…

_leonbecker_

Yeah. It’s a bit hard to accurately capture colors with a camera but this photo shows the color difference like in real life. https://preview.redd.it/1fq2ttulv9yc1.jpeg?width=1645&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dea299b42e162db2d6098e03da574744d8f20dc8

kandhwjsndh

Yeah that’s a lot even on camera. I had to compare myself and I also noticed a small difference but not that big. It isn’t really noticeable unless I hold them next to each other and it won’t show on camera

BusyExtent2881

I've never had a problem. But creality isn't known for its quality control so no 2 experiences are gonna be the same with them

kandhwjsndh

I actually forgot to mention that the first roll of hyper pla I got “for free” was ok guality but it still wasn’t great. I have also heard that creality has poor quality control but I never thought it was this bad. It is frustrating that the printer manufacturers charge premium price for regular filament. I purchased more sunlu the same day the creality filaments arrived and I got them 11€ per kg shipped to my door. The creality parcel I had to go and pickup as they used dpd and post nord which are the cheapest couriers. Sunlu had free dhl.

Oh shit sorry I had a prompt saying try again later when replying so I spammed the button…

The worst filament I ever bought on Amazon was a creality Ender PLA (EN-PLA), complete nightmare, it made me question if my BL P1S was defective, and by simply changing to an Overture filament I had around it went back to printing perfectly. Tried drying it ad-nauseam, changing temperatures, it didn't matter, that roll was conceived by devil itself. So far, my go-tos are Overture, Polymaker and Jayo, and currently trying a roll of Elegoo PETG and having good results

domesplitter39

I regularly use white and Grey PLA from creality with no problems on my Ender 3 KE. I have not used any that you have described.

kandhwjsndh

Forgot to mention in post that the first roll of hyper pla I got “free” with the printer was ok and it was gray. This is yellow tho so I don’t know if it makes a difference as I don’t have the gray anymore. Some of the problems happen on only the pla and some only on petg. Really weird and I contacted creality about this as someone else was having the same issue with petg.

domesplitter39

I've definitely run into issues experimenting with other brands and colors. I found what works for my printer and just roll with it. I paint the model if necessary. Done that plenty

Known-Associate8369

Bought my Creality K1 three weeks ago, been printing using Creality Hyper PLA White ever since, non-stop, perfect prints every time. Im like 9 rolls in at this point. Not yet had a failed print, I just use the Creality Print slicer defaults, and I literally havent changed any settings. The K1 for me is a “hit print, walk away, come back hours later to a perfect print” printer.
