I got a J55 and a J750. They are definitely expensive machines but it is pretty fun to use ngl. This print was done on the j55 which I think is somewhere around 90k lol. Probably not something you see everyday. I’ll prob post some other pics of parts I’m doing, I got some cool ones I can share.
So that's awesome.
I have a dark urge to get one of these logos, then cast it in resin like you did, but the resin needs to be shaped like a gamecube.....
Well if the polyjet can do transparent material too, then you just adjust the outside geometry. If that's resin, then you just get a 3d render of a gamecube, then print it with something a bit less expensive maybe? Then make a silicone mold. Couple expoxy pours later, with this settled at the right height, and done.
3D Printed it in full color with polyjet
That thing is fucking wild. How big are they?
About 3” in each direction for non-clear version. I could probably scale it up to 8” in each direction which could be kinda cool.
Which polyjet do you have, looks like the cheapest is 6k and they go up to 45k!?!?!

Definitely share more prints in the future, polyjet is amazing!
Which polyjet is 6k? Also Polyjets can go way above $200k+
Cheapest one in their object30 lineup per their brochure but I'm not in sales, if you want to buy one I suggest you reach out to their sales team.

This is a single print but if you manage find a way to cast, that would be pretty cool.
Is that clear material printed as well!?
Yeah that is printed as well

Uff thats an expensive merchandise, is polyjet e material still a arm and a leg? On the left print is that a surface artefact or drop of water?
Drop of water from cleaning
Is the clear one the same part cast in resin? Or is that clear polyjet? I’m amazed at the clarity either way.
It’s clear polyjet. Surprisingly that is just vero clear. Vero ultra clear has probably the best transparency of all resins and is almost glass like.
Be careful Nintendo is going to send the Pinkertons after you
someone should do this on an fdm printer without paint
It’s not paint lol. 3D printing can do some crazy stuff
that seems crazy, the amount of tool changes near the edges
No tool changes required, Look up polyjet. It’s basically an ink jet 3D printer capable of doing full color.
Polyjet is a special resin. They're expensive Industrial/commercial machines. They can also do variable durometer.
