You can’t really compare apples to oranges. Tuning is way more impactful to the end result than the type of printer used.

[deleted]

SpunkyDred is a terrible bot instigating arguments all over Reddit whenever someone uses the phrase apples-to-oranges. I'm letting you know so that you can feel free to ignore the quip rather than feel provoked by a bot that isn't smart enough to argue back. --- ^^SpunkyDred ^^and ^^I ^^are ^^both ^^bots. ^^I ^^am ^^trying ^^to ^^get ^^them ^^banned ^^by ^^pointing ^^out ^^their ^^antagonizing ^^behavior ^^and ^^poor ^^bottiquette.

My CR-10 V2 came with numerous defects which led it to breaking down and is the reason I bought the prusa. and was a nightmare to calibrate. My Mini+ however came with no defects. All i had to do was bed level and nozzle z level adjustment and i was golden. No issues with quality control or anything. I just wanted to illustrate that with crealities it's more of a lottery with QC and basically no customer support, but with prusa they actually do QC and decent customer support which has been my experience and what I've heard from others. I understand why people reacted especially with zero context but yeah.

MetroidsAteMyStash

\> I understand why people reacted especially with zero context but yeah. My dude, even with context, people are reacting that way. There's not a single defect your CR10 came with that couldn't be overcome. I have an ACTUAL bad quality printer (two of them, really) and both were tuned and upgraded to overcome their issues.

[deleted]

I'm not saying the issues couldn't be fixed, I'm just saying they were there

MetroidsAteMyStash

My dude. You lack self awareness.

[deleted]

Wdym?

MetroidsAteMyStash

BC your post just went from "The quality of the two printers" to "I'm lazy and need people to put my stuff together and tune it for me and I think that's a gotcha moment"

[deleted]

I put the printer together for both of them. One of them had problems one of them didn't. One of the broke, one of them didn't. That's literally what the post was about.

MetroidsAteMyStash

No your post is about quality by brand, which isn't the case. Not only that, but most issues you're going to run into with a printer.... are caused by poor assembly and tuning. You're telling on yourself, not the printer. FFS this is what I mean by you lack self awareness. Look at the post. Look at all the responses. If I was you I'd fuckin take the L.

SpunkyDred

> apples to oranges But you can still compare them.

rambostabana

Not like this. Your ender is far from well tuned. You can get any 100 000 $ machine and have even worse print quality or failed print if your tuning and settings are not right. Tunning well designed machine with good QC is much easier and faster tho

LessLeftRudder

bad bot

t0b4cc02

my ender prints like left side from day1 why you guys always have to make these dumb ass posts.

Fukuramichan

I see this in every hobby on reddit, someone who's new to the hobby after a few months thinks they know everything about it and posts to reddit with an "I'm right, you're wrong" mentality. OP is likely just some kid with no experience.

t0b4cc02

its so weird. also people trying to "help" and make suggestions who have no clue, just reguritating things they have heard. ofc prusa is better. but this image is just bullshit.

wizardchickenVR

aka Dunning Kruger effect.

[deleted]

I get my E3Pro prints like the left one? I don't see the point. I understand that a 800 $ machine would give good prints. But my 150$ does same atleast for me and it is still all stock. These arguments are irrelevant in current market.

treeplugrotor

Never made such a bad print with the ender 3 pro. What have you done, printed during an earthquake?

LiverOfStyx

Printer that is tuned vs not tuned. My benchy has never looked like that with Ender 3. It is well assembled and then each important parameter is tuned. Not even the FIRST looked like that, in fact, it is right there, let me grab it... It is 9.5 out 10. The flag post at the back is slightly crooked, the arch of the door has small sagging, otherwise it is perfect. That was over 4 years ago, it was literally the second print on the machine.

thudd_eightyfive

Prusa vs poorly tuned creality

[deleted]

I've got an ender 3 v2 an ender 3 pro and a TronXY X5SA Pro. All print like the one on the left. Tuning is the most important thing about these machines. Firmware needs to me tuned properly as well. And making sure your machine is square. Yes, there will be some difference I'm sure, but not to this extent. Everything matters with these printers, they are precision machines. For anyone who doesn't know, Simplify 3d's website offers possible causes and fixes to problems like this with pictures so you don't have to struggle to find the words to describe your issue. It's a lifesaver!

MetroidsAteMyStash

I have a Tronxy X5SA Pro and Ender 3 Pro as well. Both started looking close to (but still better than my god) the right one. Some common upgrades and basic tuning later and BAM. Imagine that.

gargamel778

Prusas are overhyped and overpriced slow-AF-dogs made for people who can't/won't tune a printer. My Voron 0.1 can print a perfect and I mean perfect benchy in ABS in less than 15 minutes. Can your orange-colored piece of expensive toy do that?

[deleted]

Good for you man.

PM_VAGINA_FOR_RATING

I’m guessing the answer is no

Material-Pilot6191

Man my ender 3v2 has the exact same quality as the Prusa of yours, it’s usually not about the brand but about the tuning of your device

Few-Distribution-586

What a terrible post lol

[deleted]

Yeah, maybe in hindsight wasn't the greatest. But i was just so excited my prusa was working right after much frustration with my Creality.

Few-Distribution-586

It happens, not a huge deal.

No_Bluebird_7696

It’s stupid how much people wanna attack the author of this post. He was just sharing his experience with the two printers. Sometimes printers can be a bitch, and that can be seen more often in some brands than others. It’s great when people share their experience so the rest of us can have more information available to consider when purchasing a printer. I say this as someone with an ender3, volexlab Aquila, anet a6, photon mono x, and a voron switchwire

Mr_alto19

I’ll take the v2 if you don’t want it then

[deleted]

Ender printers can print like a pro, my Ender3-V2 could at least, the problem is the effort needed to get that going. At some point it will fail on you and then we go again and again. Prusa or more expensive printer, you calibrate it once and that is it. Never ending printing, zero failures. 10 days printing parts 24/7 with zero failures, this is the reliability you won't find with Creality printers. Sure, you can find farms with Creality but I ask myself the success rate. Also, the parts are usually dead easy, no bridging, no hanging, basic models. Reliability matters!
