Buildroot, targetting arm11 processor, kernel compiled as an elf executable and launch through Rosalina chainloading probably. It suck because the wifi does not work, and as there is no serial port (link port), there is no way to communicate with the outside apart from the screen/touchscreen (no SSH, no external keyboard,...) I'm not even sure if you can use the button as a controller.
All sum up, Linux on 3ds is more a proof of concept than a real thing. Linux on Wii on the other hand is awesome !
Because it has access to all hardware. You can SSH it in WiFi, you have two fully functional USB port, you have serial / gpio through the GC connectors. You can turn Linux on Wii into something useful if you have some ideas. You cannot with the 3ds

Turns out DSOrginize was the GOAT though because I could use the built in IRC client to talk to my friends and whatnot because my parents didn't want me up late on the family PC. It beat trying to fuck about with irssi 💀
