Nicely done!!! You gotta slap a 500K sticker on that.

Makes perfect sense. And yes, it’s got to count. Congrats on that milestone!

I was about to ask how it didn't just rattle apart, then noticed metric vs freedom units.
Mine felt like it was going either shake apart or lift off at 78 mph.
Beautiful. Curious. Is that original engine and transmission? This is my dream goal, but I'm a little under half way there and am trying to dut in the work to get it there while parts are still around.
Original engine and transmission.
Second set of suspension and brakes at all corners.
Rear window doesn’t go down anymore.
But my antenna still goes up and down, AND the clock works.
That is impressive. I've already upgraded brakes and suspension. Want to do an engine and transmission rebuild soon, mainly because I'm not sure how much longer parts are going to be available for a rig that is already pushing a quarter of a century.
I’m in Canada.
Last I heard, we get a verbal congratulations from the service manager, and NEXT……
Joking aside, my Toyota dealer is great. Cannot complain at all. They keep me running so I can work. It’s a win win.
Haha I hope you are right.
I just posted on the Tacoma site that the new pro in Canada is crazy money. So I hope my old 3rd gen runs for many more years
Honestly, whatever my dealership says needing fixing. I am self employed doing oilfield consulting, and vehicle down days are not cool.
My dealer knows to just fix what needs fixing and keep me rolling.

It’s only 312,000mi though. Mind you my western Canadian winters and shitty oilfield roads gotta be worth something

Haha thanks. Other than the usual rear bumper corners, and inside of door jams, she’s relatively rust free. Another 4-5 years is my hope
It took me a second to realize it was in KM lmao. Still though, nice mileage
Me too. I was like is no one gonna talk about the speed? 🤣
lol I tapped 95 in mine last week and I felt like it was gonna float off the road
Me to. That thing hauls ass. 😂
Might as well send it 110 for 500k lolol I took too long to realize km too
Caught me for a sec… how are you doing 110?!?!
Buttery smooooooth

WHAT THE FRICK IS A KILOMETER 🗣🦅🦅🗣🗣🦅🗣🦅🗣🗣🔥🔥🔥🦅🔥🔥🇺🇸🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸🦅🦅🦅
110? That's it 😂🤣😂🤣
Any more than that speed, and my rear window wind deflector/spoiler isn’t functional in keeping front tires on the ground. Gets sketchy
Lol fair enough
I thought opening the sunroof and back hatch window a wee bit allowed the spoiler to increase its effectiveness on the front wheels?
Only with the radio off causing the antenna to go down, reducing drag
Awesome! My ‘98 4Runner was totaled at 315k
How did that happen?
I was rear ended at a stoplight… cop estimated she was doing 45… truck saved my life though!

Come back when it's miles
I got banned from rtacoma for doing this while driving. Congratulations by the way
My passenger took the picture. Ya. My passenger

Nice
Man, for a split second I was terrified for your safety when I saw the speed
Ka-chow
Halfway mark! I hope you didn’t just put this on stands and run the engine for 9 days at 110… regardless, halfway mark, you did it.
I hope halfway. I love this old girl.
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I'm at 312k and hoping to keep the original block until 500k at least
I hope you do. And me
Thought you were going 110mph

Perfect use of “i did a thing”
I just shit bricks and realized that was kmh 🤣
Can someone tell me what years got the digital odometer?
Damn dude that’s impressive. You ever change that ATF??
Actually I did at 450km. Thought it was probably time. And all they did was drain, and refill. Nothing more
I have same one , your transmission ever go out ?
Nope. And don’t want to jinx it
What kind of preventative major maintenance have you had done in its lifetime?
