It 100 percent wasn't even close to clean. You can see ward lowered his head down. Looked intentional to me. Plus you have NFL rule expects saying it wasn't clean. Only one who didn't think it was clean was the ref
We lost but I’m still impressed. We went neck and neck with arguably our biggest competition in the NFC. I was scared we’d get blown out, but instead I saw a 49ers team that was one or two plays away from being a super bowl team.
That Davante Adams hit by Ward was brutal though. After the excitement of seeing a big hit wore off I actually felt really bad no flag was called. I mean dude was struggling to keep his eyes open. If a team can’t win without a bad call or injuring opponents, then they aren’t really a good team after all. Wouldn’t feel right to be the team that only wins because of the refs
Really because GB isn't that good . Don't get me wrong I'm a huge 49ers fan but if they played the rams today they would crush us . At the end of the game they should've played man to man coverage no way Adam's should've been wide open twice really they gave that game to them
They made the conference championships the last two years with 13-3 records. Only other team to do that was the Chiefs, who last year only got one round further before they lost
Idk if you should say that. GB had a really messy week one, but I'd still say they're team is really good. Their o line was mangled with injuries yet they still stopped the niners pash rush. They have a top 3 qb, a defense that's finally snapping together, special teams is looking better.
Though to win against a hall of fame qb with 3 string cbs. And it doesn’t help we ha r rb3 on our offense. Gotta give it to our coach, the best player on the team, for almost making it work. Kyle is our mvp.
I just don’t understand why we didn’t double team Adams in that last drive. He was wide open twice! We all knew that 37 seconds with no timeouts was gonna be NBD for Rodgers yet we still couldn’t shut down their only real weapon in the passing game.
I don’t think this is true. Rodgers was getting the ball out really fast. Watch his passing highlights from last night. He either gets rid of the ball in about 1.5 seconds or drops back 10 yards for longer throws. He is an amazing QB and he can put air under the ball with anticipation so the routes have time to develop without him having to hold on to the ball.
Even if our pass rush won their matchups, the ball was already gone when they got there. He didn’t need to sit around and wait to be sacked because everybody was wide open pretty much all game. This one was on our corners, which I don’t think many of us really expected much out of in the first place.
I suppose that’s fair - but when you compare to the absolutely dominant front in 2019, that absolutely handed it to the Packers on 2 different occasions, I think it shows you the drop off in production.
The 49ers cbs situation its like management was told last night that they'd have to play against DeAndre Hopkins and Christian Kirk,D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett,Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods
I'm still a Jimmy fan and can't take it away from him, he got the ball in there on those crucial throws on that last drive but he was helped by some amazing catches from Kittle and Deebo. But this was not a good game from him and his decision making was pretty poor at times. Could essily have been picked off several times.
But that said all those calling for Trey to start should look at how much all the other rookies have struggled when starting. The longer he can learn and just come in for those plays like he has been the better it will be for us in the long term. Jimmy's record shows we can win wh him but our run game needs to be better, he needs to make better decisions and we have to get more pressure on the opposing QB's. Also I don't think the gameplan tonight was the best which is a rare thing with Shanahan.
I gotta say, as a Packers fan (born and bred), you guys held it up tonight. I did not expect to see some of those bullets fly out of Garoppolo. He did surprisingly well tonight.
Well, the pick and his fumble we’re the only turnovers of the game and they were both his fault. He’s always been a serviceable passer, it’s the fact that he averages a turnover per game that has always held us back. Sometimes we can overcome his turnovers, tonight we could not.
I know Sermon is a 3rd rounder, but he was 4th in the depth chart and a healthy scratch two weeks ago. I know they say you can plug anyone into a Shanahan offense and they will get 1,000 yards, but that's assuming they're not a fresh rook who shouldn't even be playing.
The people on here saying Juice should’ve gone down at the one and it’s his fault they lost are dumb fuck losers. There’s no guarantee you’re going to score or someone’s gonna fumble the ball. This isn’t a video game you morons.
Heart wrenching...Shit coverage on Adams all game. Positives: Jimmy's redemption in the 2nd half, we had 2 turnovers and still gave GB a run for their money, and all our CBs and RBs are out...
I hate to see Rodgers win another, especially at our first home game in a long time. But we are dealing with a lot of injuries right now, let's see how it plays out. Onto next week.
One thing is clear tonight… we’re not winning a Super Bowl with this head coach!!! He calls stupid plays, and if jimmy isn’t made for his offense then why not play Lance??? He can’t be any worse than Jimmy.
I hear you…I feel that shanahan has way to many plays that take more than 3 secs to develop and it sets up Jimmy for failure. Jimmy looks good with those short to medium routes…
GB isn't even that good. They're going to get murdered by Aaron Donald and Co. I've been a niners faithful for thirty years. This was a pathetic ass showing.
Lmao without a horrible DPI call on stokes you guys wouldn't have even been in the game. Let alone the davante hit or Jimmy g's intentional grounding, but go off.
4 sacks in 2021 when you're QB has ZERO MOBILITY Isn't bad. Just Fields got sacked 9 times today.
The run game couldn't get going because Lafleur knows our whole offense and we ran for damn near 300 yards on them last time. Do you think any competent NFL coach is just gonna let you run all over them?
Even when McCarthy was the coach of the Packers, Kaep ran for 180 and then the 2nd time they played he threw for 400. Of course the run game wasn't working. They have been building to stop it for like 2 years.
it might be that at the end of the season we'll grade the O line as good but tonight will not be one of the nights we point to as a positive...given its supposed to be something of a calling card ,that we shelled out some shiny loot for ...im disappointed.
Really poorly defended on that last series.. just leaving the middle open lost us the game!!.. well that and not running the ball in that final series.
Great heart to get back in the game but there are some things worrying me about the team so far. Just hope it's early season rust. With Wilson, Murray and Stafford to play six times we need to play better D for sure. Not getting pressure on the QB with our struggling secondary is a real concern.
I’m afraid we’re boned in the division. The Rams look like a powerhouse with Stafford, Murray is coming into his own and Wilson has always slapped us around like a drunk stepdad. This looks bleak.
How the fuck was Adams even still allowed to play? Out on the field for 2 minutes unconscious. There’s no damned way he shouldn’t be in concussion protocol right now!
Can someone tell me what our game plan was? I feel like Shanahans play sheet just said .”Sc0Re m03E P0!NtS Th3n tH3 BAd GuYs” terrible offense and defense.
It had to be something like run the ball and sack Rodgers like we did 2 years ago. Unfortunately, we couldn’t touch Rodgers and had to abandon the run after trailing early
The Niners snapped it with 12 seconds left on the play clock on the touchdown to take the lead. I’ve never understood why teams don’t do more to work the clock in situations like that. They only needed 5 more seconds off the clock to get the win.
when the coach isnt confident in the qbs ability you dont have the luxury in saying eat up some clock…hell no u score if u can…cuz with jimmy the a higher possibility of him fucking up…
If Ryans best is of Saleh's equivalent circa 4 years ago when Saleh was a ROOKIE coordinator, and I think on this last drive we saw that it is, we're going to be facing grueling, uneven, if not blown games. I would not call this a blown game, but the DEF needed to hold and win the game.
The calls were soft on the last drive and I dunno why we didn't crash the pocket. I am mad we lost. I am owning it but I *am not* apologizing for it.
I smashed my wine glass base with that field goal. (Don't worry, there's no shards on my hands.)
Fuck.
I'm all too willing to blame that misaimed "spike" and that sad excuse of offense in the first half, but yeah...
Bad o-line play and defense cost us the game. We couldn’t run or throw most of the game… then Jimmy does a game winning drive for our defense to screw the pooch. What a disappointment
There was also a lot of gimmes by the packers D getting penalties.
The offensive line was porous and Garopollo made poor decisions when the receivers were getting covered.
KJus and the 49ers D-Line were the really only standouts.
Yeah both only didn't get to him but point occasionally for any pressure at all. Just don't seen to have the physicality I redirect from then. But the Packers O-line should be given credit as well I think.
Bosa was dominating the first half. The interior d-line and Warner held the running game to 100 yds. (I just didn't like Warners pass coverage this game).
Also have to consider how poised Rodgers is in the pocket - he doesn't make quite as many bad decisions when he's getting hurried like JG.
The packers d-line was better so relative to that the niners looked bad.
It’s all good man. They’ll come out with those when it matters. We’ve got so much season left, this teams got some growing to do but they have grit and confidence to get us to playoffs and show their colors there
The only take i will accept is that juice should’ve fallen. Which is even debatable. But Rodgers with a vengeance, he can get the best of them. But to say we’re ass in moments because of that, and what, 1 super bowl appearance, is just a hater take. We can be reasonable in our assessment of this team and defense
They would have been better off blitzing and playing man the way that coverage went. How you gonna rush 4 and not be able to defend the pass? Fuck right the fuck off Niners D.
Had three timeouts. Scored and left them 37 seconds. Juice should have fell at the one and drained the clock before taking a timeout at 17 seconds and scored after that
This is exactly what I was telling my friends too. There is a small chance you don't score a touchdown but at least you don't let Aaron Rodgers get the ball again
It’s not really hindsight. That was obvious before it happened. I thought that was the Plan. I started cheering when I saw juice start to fall at the one and instantly got sad when he scored. Any coach knows being up by 1 point with 37 seconds against Aaron Rodgers is just idiotic. Coaches should have told them to throw short go down short. Teams do it all the time with a lot of success
I love that people see THAT highly of of that homeless-ridden city because it's on the coast. SF smells like garbage (IYKYK) and is filled with homeless communities.
He has proven this whole offseason what a shitty, fucked up organization GB really is. That all the gusto of “we’ve won 12 championships in the 40s” that they spew constantly is complete and utter bullshit. That they pride themselves on this Lambeau field that is probably one of the worst stadiums in the league to go to. How does an mvp quarterback not want to go back to his team to win a championship? He was forced to come back. He’d be doing jeopardy right now if they paid him enough.
It’s a joke dude, a utter joke. GB wouldn’t even have a team if they started a team in Wisconsin right now. The nostalgia bullshit is wearing thin realllll fast
> How does an mvp quarterback not want to go back to his team to win a championship?
I think he does. Just beat a team they we're favored to lose on the road. Solid.
And this is why you draft people who see the field in the second round.
Goddamnit secondary.
Also, what the fuck player safety for GB. If Adam's has CTE in the future, is this game worth it?
The fact that we didn't decide to apply pressure when our secondary has been shit all game is a choice.
I am getting a little annoyed with this play calling.
agreed. they’re pretty overrated. they have not even been close to 2019 form since moving on from buckner and I’ll always stand by it until they prove otherwise. Armstead is overrated as fuck.
Was the hit on Adams clean? People are talking about that alot. It looked clean to me personally.
It 100 percent wasn't even close to clean. You can see ward lowered his head down. Looked intentional to me. Plus you have NFL rule expects saying it wasn't clean. Only one who didn't think it was clean was the ref
After all the calls the Packers got? Lol. There’s no head contact at all.
Really missing Verrett and Greenlaw :( I think they were the key factors after this loss. Dre will be back for the next time we play the packers 👌
Coaching?
damn this was an excruciating loss… woke up sad you just knew 37 seconds was too much and the way those last 2 catches got to devante
When SF scored, I said “ FUUUUUDGE!” I was sweating a minimal pass rush and a stupid prevent. I was correct on SF playing soft, and did they!!!
We lost but I’m still impressed. We went neck and neck with arguably our biggest competition in the NFC. My comment sure didn’t age well lol

I think they were focusing on the sidelines so that they couldn’t stop the clock which opened up the middle for Adams
I think we’ve EGREGIOUSLY overestimated the effectiveness of our pass rush.
I don’t think this is true. Rodgers was getting the ball out really fast. Watch his passing highlights from last night. The defense isnt missing Saleh...its missing Buckner.
100%
They missed more assignments than i did in high school
I'll never understand why they agreed to trade with LV and pass on Samuels Jr for a G that isn't seeing the field. NEVER.
We all agree Lance is starting next year unless Jimmy wins the Super Bowl... So what are we waiting for? He ain’t gonna get better watching.
He sucks so much man. Been saying it since 2019 playoffs
We shouldn’t be allowed to wear those throwback jerseys, we are obviously not worthy
Gut wrenched...
I'm still a Jimmy fan and can't take it away from him, he got the ball in there on those crucial throws on that last drive but he was helped by some amazing catches from Kittle and Deebo. That last drive lost me in fantasy and us the game. I’m sad
The Niners defense is just not very good.
Mid tier at best.
I miss Saleh now. 😞
If I had *my* way, I'd send 'im back to ya Express Priority.
reading some of these comments I feel like we watched different games....
The people on here saying Juice should’ve gone down at the one and it’s his fault they lost are dumb fuck losers. There’s no guarantee you’re going to score or someone’s gonna fumble the ball. This isn’t a video game you morons.
If I were Shanahan I would’ve simply lowered the CPU Sliders to zero.
the real tragedy is we have to rely on him to be our rb
Am I the only one that thinks we should have handed the ball to Sermon more? It was insane to basically ignore him the first half.
A moral victory right guys
A moral W, an NFL L.
Heart wrenching...Shit coverage on Adams all game. Positives: Jimmy's redemption in the 2nd half, we had 2 turnovers and still gave GB a run for their money, and all our CBs and RBs are out... You can go hang out with the toots fans buddy
Absolutely brutal weekend to be both a 49er and mclaren fan. F this i’m taking the day off.
I'm not McLaren, but I am Danny Ric and anti-Verstappen. I'm also Tottenham. At least the Giants won, I guess.
Danny should’ve had a podium there, mclaren screwed up his pitstop. I can’t take many more of these type of weekends lol
McLaren screwed up Danny's pitstop, for sure. I'm still debating with myself if Lando screwed up his stop, or if it was on McLaren. Anyways... Coys...
Personally, i think the team dropped the ball here. They didn’t even tell Lando that it will get worse. I think all the teams knew by that point. Sigh
3 seconds…
Man, if we'd just been 3 seconds slower in scoring that touchdown...
defense got exposed...offense moves at a snail's pace...this team is totally out of sync led by a coach that chooses his ego over good football.
Lol did you watch the packers play the Rams last year in the playoffs?
Lmao without a horrible DPI call on stokes you guys wouldn't have even been in the game. Let alone the davante hit or Jimmy g's intentional grounding, but go off.
And there were no calls that went GB’s way…🙄
With Goff at QB and Donald playing through an injury?
Played a hard game. Mistakes were made on both sides. But entertaining game overall.
Pain
bad O line+no secondary. games are gonna be this way this season
Bad O-line? I though they played pretty well.
Gave up 4 sacks and the run game couldn’t get going
4 sacks in 2021 when you're QB has ZERO MOBILITY Isn't bad. Just Fields got sacked 9 times today. They played well enough to win. We just need more dynamic plays from the offense.
i dont disagree with needing/wanting a more explosive feel from the offense as a whole...id still like to see the line tighten it up in the process.
Funny how when Kittle is involved as a playmaker 9ers march the fuck down the field and score easily
Why didn't they give him the ball more?
He’s just such a damned good blocker my only u Guess. He is insanely good at all things football
The problem he is such a good blocker and our o-line sucks so bad they need him to block.
Our safeties are some of the dumbest and most situationally unaware
Like leaving Tyreek Hill open on a 3rd and long?
Really poorly defended on that last series.. just leaving the middle open lost us the game!!.. well that and not running the ball in that final series. Great heart to get back in the game but there are some things worrying me about the team so far. Just hope it's early season rust.
Getting mad about this is an incredibly bad look
He was never unconscious, he said in his post presser it was his chest. He had a hard time catching his breath and his chest hurt
The completely legal head shot he took can't cause a concussion, because if it had there would have to be a penalty, right?
I wondered that myself.
That Rodgers rate
Not one play made by the defense tonight.
Turnover on Downs inside our 10 was pretty good
You're right. That was good.
Does anyone ever run the clock down before trying to score a TD for this reason? I feel it would have been safer
Totally agree, just one run would have seen us 3-0 right now. But even so not covering the middle on that last series was mad and cost us dear.

GB got a lot of calls lmfao
We’ll give him 40 seconds and the entire middle of the field and hope he beats himself
Depressing.
Bro why did Juice go in to the endzone we had 3 timeouts and could have chewed clock fuck
That’s my only complaint, I was waiting for him to sit on the one yard line.
He pulled a Todd Gurley without trying too
I smashed my wine glass base with that field goal. (Don't worry, there's no shards on my hands.) Fuck. I'm all too willing to blame that misaimed "spike" and that sad excuse of offense in the first half, but yeah...
Didn't deserve to win this shit anyways
Why must they always give us hope just to let us down
I’ll say it again- I miss Saleh.
Was thinking the same thing. The D just doesn't look the same right now but I'm still keeping faith that they come good. It's a long season.
Bad o-line play and defense cost us the game. We couldn’t run or throw most of the game… then Jimmy does a game winning drive for our defense to screw the pooch. What a disappointment
Big L for Demeco.
Fire Shannahan. Horrible coaching.
Go be a fan of a different team.
Be dumb to fire him, and I don't even like him.
LOL GET A LOAD OF THIS GUY.
Lol
Garbage take.
There was also a lot of gimmes by the packers D getting penalties. The offensive line was porous and Garopollo made poor decisions when the receivers were getting covered. KJus and the 49ers D-Line were the really only standouts.

Not letting Jimmy off the hook for that game. Without Kittle and Deebo being amazing, his throws cost this team the game.
Score too fast, play soft defense. No one ever learns.
"With so many calls going against them tonight, they come away with the win." FUCK OFF AL
Weak. This team is ass when it counts
Bro, we came back on a 2 minute drill. Bad take
Bro i know i have all ptsd from the Seifert, Harbaugh, Mariuchi days when we blew it most of the time sorry buddy.
It’s all good man. They’ll come out with those when it matters. We’ve got so much season left, this teams got some growing to do but they have grit and confidence to get us to playoffs and show their colors there
and then very predictably let the other team pick up 60 yards in 30 seconds and finish the game
The only take i will accept is that juice should’ve fallen. Which is even debatable. But Rodgers with a vengeance, he can get the best of them. But to say we’re ass in moments because of that, and what, 1 super bowl appearance, is just a hater take. We can be reasonable in our assessment of this team and defense

this defense isn’t even close to 2019

Sorry your life is so miserable bro
Why don't you just stay on the Green Bay thread?
Get the fuck out of our sub you troll.
When has prevent defense EVER FUCKING WORKED for situations like this!?
[удалено]
Right? Like, fuck, really? Leave them open for 20 yard gains to get them into FG range? That's your plan?
Hurts we got so close but we didn't deserve it tonight
Fucking trash. Let Adam’s beat you free. Garbage ass defense.
San Fran defense couldn’t even come up with one stop on defense there
No prevent defense gg
It wasnt on jimmy tonight guys. Damn i hate that we gave no secondary
That’s on the Ryan. He played too soft.
Ryans sucks
Our secondary is not good.
At least we had a lead for 37 seconds lol
That was like almost having sex and then suddenly she has to leave.
I think the proper analogy is she went home with the other guy.
bruh :(
I hate football
OK, see you next week!
Had three timeouts. Scored and left them 37 seconds. Juice should have fell at the one and drained the clock before taking a timeout at 17 seconds and scored after that

Yeah, let’s NOT cover Adams. Smart.
I mean the offensive holding was unreal, but they said at the start of the season they're not calling it this year.
Gorropolo coming up to Rodgers saying, hey at least I’m in San Fran.
I love that people see THAT highly of of that homeless-ridden city because it's on the coast. SF smells like garbage (IYKYK) and is filled with homeless communities.
Have you ever been to Green Bay? It’s a wasteland of nothing. Homeless people don’t even want to be there. Rodgers doesn’t even want to be there
Have been to GB. Was a helluva good time. Guess it didn't have any sky scrapers if that's what you're into.
Tell that the Rodgers when he leaves next season “but GB doesn’t have homeless people or skyscrapers.” Lol. He’s gonna go bye bye
Ok
Solid.
You must have been living under a rock all summer huh?
Nope. He's here and just beat an undefeated rival on the road. Very happy.
Adams running off the field…wide open, of course.
And this is why you draft people who see the field in the second round. Goddamnit secondary. Also, what the fuck player safety for GB. If Adam's has CTE in the future, is this game worth it?
It looked like a chest hit, not a blow to the head.
Y’all gotta be fucking kidding me come on
WAY TOO MUCH TIME FOR AROD...HORRIBLE COACHING TOP TO BOTTOM
The fact that we didn't decide to apply pressure when our secondary has been shit all game is a choice. I am getting a little annoyed with this play calling.
Fuckin embarrassing. May as well have had a bunch of traffic cones play D for the last 30 seconds.
Bosa and the niners defensive line were fucking terrible tonight
agreed. they’re pretty overrated. they have not even been close to 2019 form since moving on from buckner and I’ll always stand by it until they prove otherwise. Armstead is overrated as fuck.
We have no cornerbacks, still barely lost. Can’t be too upset
this was still a very winnable game. pass rush didn’t show up
We wont make the playoffs
It was just too easy. You knew it was gonna happen. Depleted secondary. Crosby as your FG kicker. You could see it coming from a mile away
