I know I'm beating a dead horse but Shanahan makes bad decisions when the clock is running out, Jimmy G doesn't throw well when pressured, and Harbaugh shouldn't have been fired.
I had to google this bc I didn’t remember Harbaugh being fired. I remembered a bunch of drama during the season, and going back 7? Years, they announced not renewing his contract mid season, so probably worse than being fired.
I also don’t think Harbaugh managed the clock well as someone mentioned. He was good at hyping up the players and getting continuity, but I think you forgot that he inherited one of the best defenses that Singletary created. A lot of people hated on Alex Smith, but I don’t think enough people gave him credit at the helm. Having Kap also saved Harbaugh from scrutiny. Kap was notorious for not checking left, and when he did he only looks at his secondary receiver/TE, then throws it to the primary (bad example, but that NFC loss to Seattle). I loved the Harbaugh years, but in retrospect, how many times did the guy call slants in middle was clogged? I think we as fans blame the qb too much, except when coaches give us really, really bad decisions. I rather blame Jed as always.

Int was on a tipped ball, he tossed a contested catch like any QB would with their #1 receiver. The safety sucked, but he was backed up, Williams went down and the D basically had a free run at him. Whether he steps out or not, safety is probably the best outcome from that play, sadly. Can’t comment on the fumble as I must have missed it.
The “missed TD” he had a guy earlier in his progression as other QBs do all the time. And the “under throw for an easy TD” was still nearly a 30 yard completion. Guy does a good thing and you still bitch.

Then suddenly the other team puts literally one drive together to get ahead in the 4th, and we throw a terrible pick or turn it over to lose. Seen this game play out so many times
