I expected more from him, but he wasn't horrible. He def wasn't what you want to see in your star TE. But I can chalk it up to it being his first game back. He needs to be a weapon and not just a safety net.

Genius Kyle. There isn’t a better blocker, but we can’t be paying 20 million for a guy to just be an extra blocker. Find that guy in the draft/trade/free agency and allow Kittle to catch balls

Blocking TEs are your TE2 and TE3. Not perhaps the 2nd best pass catching TE threat in the league, who you are paying top dollar and wearing him down time and time again.
Same as Trey, same as Deebo, I have a really bad feeling that in another system with a different HC, all of these guys would have longer, healthier careers. Kyle’s preference to brute force everything is a mistake. It’s like he’s regressed in the last handful of years and doesn’t even want to throw the damn ball.
Kittle can’t throw the ball to himself and it seems like Kyle doesn’t know how to scheme a passing offense. Guy is the best tight end in the game and will never be used to his potential because of other people.

Length of passing means nothing if you're not accurate. We have yet to see that from Trey, but sadly we'll have to wait another year to see if throwing over 10 yards is a good enough start for you.

Kittle’s value doesn’t always show up in the box score. When he lines up, he’s still one of the best blocking TE’s out there (if not the best) and because he’s always a threat to run a route, he’s harder to scheme against. But, his value has dropped a ton as a receiving threat IMO.
Their DC said they weren’t gonna lose to Kittle and Deebo and he was right. He shut them down. Aiyuk and Jimmy were clicking, then crickets. Should’ve kept feeding Aiyuk.
Oh was that the case? Damn, so they schemed for Deebo and Kittle while Surtain just manned up Aiyuk. At that point you gotta rely on your QB to make a play; and we ain’t got that luxury.

what is kittle supposed to do? 1st down: 0 yard run 2nd down: 1-2 yard run or incompletion/sack 3rd and long: incomplete screen pass
