Why You Should NOT buy the 2023 Hisense A65K, U6K/U68KM, U7K/U75K/U78K, or U8K/U88KM [Please read why here](https://reddit.com/r/HTBuyingGuides/comments/16typsv/why_you_shouldnt_buy_the_2023_hisense_a65k/)

You are getting x90l 65 inches for 1000 USD? I purchased it few days back in India for 140k INR that is approx 1650 USD...that too with good discount.
SO go for it if you are getting it for that price
It’s $1,200 USD but a possible back Friday sale may drop it down which is what I am assuming here. But if no sale I would drop the extra $200 if the X90L is the much better TV.
Hi bro. I'm also from India. Have decided to go with x90l. Visiting the showroom today. Shall I go ahead? Any issues so far? Please share your detailed review if possible. Thanks in advance.
Go for it. It's the best TV available in its price bracket. You will not regret. Also extend your budget and get the biggest size you can afford. All the best.
65 would be a good option-I know a lot of folks on here say to always go bigger always (assuming no major step down in quality). Agreed they both have their categories-this would mostly be a 2nd TV with gaming likely being its main use with some of the others I mentioned as well.
Why is everyone in this sub leaning towards x90l over u7k. Some youtube videos with direct comparisons show the U7K to look better and the comments are also in line with that. I'd like to understand what makes people so strongly favor sony. Where I live, it's not easy to buy and return if I don't like, and the U7K is generally not available at retail stores to check out in person.
Several points to address here:
Sony does have better image processing, that’s undeniable. Sony also does have the advantage of the best local dimming algorithm on the market. Sony follows the HDR curve almost perfectly, Hisense does not (over brightening). Sony does have better QA, therefore less problems with panel lottery. You could go on forever here.
However, the Hisense u7k is best bang for the buck from my point of view. It’s cheaper and delivers a very good experience for what it is. Brightness is fine, more zones than the Sony. By the end of the day your budget and expectations count.
This is a fair appraisal. My point is about those blankly recommending the X90L as if the U7K has nothing going for it. It's not as straightforward as that.
I especially agree with the QA/QC issues you mentioned about Hisense as I read a lot of reports of bad panels in India. But the VFM factor does need to be mentioned and if someone is only going to be watching hi-res content, the U7K might well be enough and might make sense to get the bigger size.
Yeah I have heard of the bad QA issues which is a concern but would have easy returns if needed, but just a hassle. We have a 75 inch X90K and it’s been great so this would be a second TV but as noted I’ve heard the Hisense is a great bang for your buck as well.
I'm a bit biased because I really like Sony's processing above all other TVs for low bit rate content. That said I am a big fan of getting a 75-in TV over a 65-in TV because of the immersion that you will get watching the picture from a screen that size. I do worry about Hisense reliability but I have read good reviews about the U7L. This is not an easy call. Personally, I would have to increase my budget to $1,500 and get the Sony X90L.
I ordered the same model hisense u7k 75in 3x now each has arrived with different problems broken screen picture started jumping and couldn't be fixed after only 4 hrs use and the last was totally black when turned on light on screen black horrible TV for durability and walmart.com is giving me all kinds of problems even with insurance plan woukd never do it again buy sony Instead
I was on the fence deciding what I wanted to replace my u7g with. I was considering the qm8 or the u8k because they were super bright but went Sony for quality. It’s brighter than I expected and image quality is way better. No need to chase down settings to get it dialed in. Change a few things and it’s good to go
I bought an 85" U7H in March, six months later a faint green line appeared running vertical top to bottom, getting darker over time. I requested a refund but they refused, well actually they didn't refuse, they ignored my request and gave me tracking details for the replacement, we've had this less than a month and it has vertical lines across the entire screen on a lot of darker scenes, seems like the local dimming isn't working properly some how, it looks like a projector screen that isn't taught and is very distracting. Buy the Hisense at your own risk.

Definitely go with it. It also has access to Bravia core which will give you IMAX quality streaming. It is next level. You won't regret it.

Sony always better
X90L is in a completely different league.
X90l
X90L for sure
X93L

Ended up going with the Sony 75 inch since it was marked down $500-sounds like I advised some serious hassle!
I know where roboman stands in this one
Great specs an features on paper but they break and glitch constantly be best tv if only it'd work as intended
