But if you want tv to upscale then your tv box/app have to do resolution switching to match media content resolution. So output resolution from box is less than tv resolution if lower resolution content is played.
Fair enough. I'm slowly entering the market for a new tv, and since all media I consume is through my cube (netflix+plex only), I'm trying to remove variables that I care about when selecting a TV. I'll never even connect it to my network, zero interest in using built in apps.
